[edit source]

The going is slow since sadly these days few people comment on anything. I'll have a history write-up prepared for the 30th no problem, and will be doing the I-VI write-up. Someone to do VII-XIII should be simple, and I'm going to be speaking to people for the MMOs. Apologies the forum has been so inactive. Drake Clawfang (talk) 22:45, November 24, 2013 (UTC)

It's alright, Drake Clawfang, I super appreciate the willingness to chip on this. Please check the forum for an update on the project, I think I'm going to cut out the MMO section and split it between NES/SNES, PS1, and PS3 eras of games (along with each of the three people giving these write-ups a list of recommended games from that era). We can still bring up the MMOs, but we can leave it in the general history to make things easier. Thanks so much TheBlueRogue (profile)•(talk)•(email) 19:16, November 25, 2013 (UTC)

We have found a user willing to write about the MMOs, as I did say in the forum. Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle.png 19:22, November 25, 2013 (UTC)

Hi there, just thought I would let you know that Drake has written the general history as well as the NES/SNES era. I just wanted to ask you if a personal touch is allowed in these sections? The way I have written mine does have a little from my perspective. Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle.png 20:11, November 26, 2013 (UTC)

Oh, that definitely makes things easy! And yes, when it comes to each of the sections about the different eras of games, the more personal touch you put onto it, the better! The longer, general history is the only thing that should stay factual and informative. The later sections are more for you to give your personal input about that section of the Final Fantasy timeline and why you feel it was good!

Thank you for being a great help on this Tia, you've made me job a lot easier : > TheBlueRogue (profile)•(talk)•(email) 20:15, November 26, 2013 (UTC)

My pleasure, always nice to help out the guys over at Wikia. I'll have mine to you very soon. Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle.png 20:17, November 26, 2013 (UTC)

I sent you my PS2/PS3-related text, but I don't know if someone was quicker, so you can ignore the email if someone already sent you text.—Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) ∙ 18:23, November 27, 2013 (UTC)

You're the first to send it to me, so you'll be fetured Kaimi! Thanks so much! TheBlueRogue (profile)•(talk)•(email) 18:25, November 27, 2013 (UTC)

Other Project[edit source]

It isn't new, but it's very low-key at the moment, the Wiki is doing a series of LPs for the series at Project:Let's Play. We're posting them to the Wiki's YouTube account but they get very little traffic, so extra publicity would be awesome :) Drake Clawfang (talk) 21:55, November 27, 2013 (UTC)

Aw man, that's such a cool idea! I will definitely let outside users know in the Guided Tour :) TheBlueRogue (profile)•(talk)•(email) 22:02, November 27, 2013 (UTC)

Just checking to see if you received my section? :) Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle.png 22:28, November 27, 2013 (UTC)

Yes I did, Tia. Thanks for getting it to me nice and quick. Any changes I make will be minimal. Thanks again! TheBlueRogue (profile)•(talk)•(email) 22:35, November 27, 2013 (UTC)

Great, glad you got it! Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle.png 22:36, November 27, 2013 (UTC)

A small error on mine in hindsight - I say FF7 is the first game to be released in Japan, derp, I meant Europe ;p Drake Clawfang (talk) 22:40, November 27, 2013 (UTC)

Haha, will make that change right now so I won't forget! Thanks Drake! TheBlueRogue (profile)•(talk)•(email) 22:41, November 27, 2013 (UTC)

Podcast Recording[edit source]

Sorry for the short notice but I found out this afternoon I have a class at 3 tomorrow (1:30 PST is 4:30 for me) If we could push the interview back to around 10 AM for you guys (1 PM for me), that'd be swell. Drake Clawfang (talk) 00:59, December 4, 2013 (UTC)

10 AM PST was a little to early for us, unfortunately. What's your schedule looking like for tomorrow, Drake? TheBlueRogue (profile)•(talk)•(email) 18:15, December 4, 2013 (UTC)

Any time after 1 for me, 4 for you guys. So tomorrow, 1:30 would be great :)

1:30 works for us, man! Thanks TheBlueRogue (profile)•(talk)•(email) 21:42, December 4, 2013 (UTC)

So we're clear, I mean 1:30 for me, 4:30 PST, that is, the original time we had today, just tomorrow. :) (timezones confuse me) Drake Clawfang (talk) 23:58, December 4, 2013 (UTC)
Alright, 4:30 PST. What is your timezone? I'm just a bit confused since earlier in the conversation you had yourself at 3 hours after us, and now you're saying it's 3 hours before us. Timezones are confusing xP 00:08, December 5, 2013 (UTC)
I don't even know :p I leave in Southern Ontario and it is 8:48 now, that's what I know. Drake Clawfang (talk) 01:48, December 5, 2013 (UTC)
Alright, you're in the same timezone as me : > I live in Ohio, so you'll be three hours ahead of the folks in Cali. With that being hammered out, could you do around 3-4 PM your time tomorrow, so we can interview you around 12-1 Cali time? TheBlueRogue (profile)•(talk)•(email) 02:19, December 5, 2013 (UTC)
Yup, that'd be fine. Drake Clawfang (talk) 03:09, December 5, 2013 (UTC)
Hey Drake, we're a-go to record today at 1:30 PST (4:30 your time). Please sign into your Skype account sometime today to accept the sent contact request from Jorge. Thanks so much, dude! TheBlueRogue (profile)•(talk)•(email) 17:08, December 5, 2013 (UTC)

Guided Tour[edit source]

Has there been a delay? Drake Clawfang (talk) 09:58, December 10, 2013 (UTC)

Yeah, and it wasn't on my end! The custom headers for the post have been stuck in the design pipeline since late last week. The updated date on those is Wednesday, but I'm taking that with a grain of salt. I have both Thursday and Friday scheduled for the post, and I imagine that'd be the last delay we'll have. I'll be sure to let you know when it finally goes live!

Sorry about the delay, I know it annoyed me quite a bit too :P TheBlueRogue (profile)•(talk)•(email) 16:31, December 10, 2013 (UTC)

JRPGs thingy[edit source]

Fëasindë Peth : Free from Tuesdays to Fridays after 11 pm UTC (6 pm Eastern Time)

Excellent, thank you Faethin. Both you and Drake will have open time after 6PM EST through the entire week. I will talk to others I work with and let you know which day we'll record over the weekend. Also, I'll probably link you to a Google Doc with a general outline of what we'll be discussing, so you can prep your responses a bit beforehand! Thanks so much for volunteering to help us out, very excited to get this recorded! TheBlueRogue (profile)•(talk)•(email) 22:17, January 10, 2014 (UTC)

Videos[edit source]

Can I ask what the reason is that you've uploaded Bravely Default and FFVI trailers? They don't have any licenses and are not in use on any article so they risk being deleted. Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle.png 21:27, January 16, 2014 (UTC)

Whenever our Wikia Video library receives a new upload, I'm always asked to try to embed it on the proper wiki (The company has really taken a liking to video content). With wikis like yours that has a Manual of Style that prohibits embedded them on articles, I usually add them to the wiki via Special:Video just to appease the company's focus. The videos themselves are fully licensed, if I updated that information would they remain? Thanks for getting in touch TheBlueRogue (profile)•(talk)•(email) 21:33, January 16, 2014 (UTC)
Well, I don't know that much when it comes to videos. We ourselves tend to use videos from YouTube so when they're uploaded directly here I get a little confused. It might be better for me to consult JBed on this matter. When I say license, I mean adding stuff like {{SECopyright}} into the information; it's to cover our backs and continue invoking fair use. You can see this on every image the wiki uses and I would assume the same applies to videos as we have the license {{VideoCopyright}} from looking at our file upload section.
