Changing game classesEdit

Hey, I've had to revert your changes to the BD class. There are like three reasons. The first is: for Bravely Second we're using BravelyS, so it was said that we would use BravelyD for Bravely Default (slightly more future-proofed).

The second reason is that the CSS for the game classes writes itself from the JS. You would be unlikely to know this, and Cat probably doesn't even know it since I did all the scripting for the system. Although I'm sure I wrote a thread so if anyone cared then they would know. Except you, who wasn't here and we haven't made official documentation.

User:JBed/Auto-generate classes. Too many things to do, haven't written help pages yet, blah blah. Anyway, if you change the CSS then the JS-parts of it are going to get broken. The crystal for the side icon will be colourless for one. And I think that's probably it. But the point is you edit the JS and then get the CSS from that page, you don't need to edit the game-classes in the CSS.

The third reason is I'm not convinced by the effectiveness of our find-and-replace system for updating game codes. I wrote a script that is currently located User:JBed/test.js. So if I edit and save every page on the wiki then all sideicons, HTML "class" attributes, and template "class" parameters will be updated. That's obviously not efficient, so I'll need to rewrite it as a pywikipedia script or AWB or whatever because they can magically target every page.

I will try to work on this soon. But for the time being we can stick the class codes we got. JBed (talk) 20:39, March 24, 2014 (UTC)

Right, I see. I wasn't aware of the js script (it's pretty neat though) so I didn't know that this would be the case, my apologies. Thanks for letting me know!--FFVI Kefka Palazzo Sprite iOS Technobliterator TC 21:32, March 24, 2014 (UTC)

CSS stuffsEdit

[23:32] <JBed> okay, so the asnwer is "no", that won't fix it. this is because when you use that system on a page it automatically adds an embedded stylesheet. and that overrides what's in the external CSS files. the ID gives it that priority over the embedded
[23:32] <JBed> CSS
[23:32] <JBed> and you're probably not even here anymore
[23:35] <JBed> so you would required added !important
[23:37] <JBed> or you could take the dumb approach and replace all instances of "#content_database" with "#mw-content-text"
[23:37] <JBed> this works in your case
[23:37] <JBed> but not in all cases
[23:37] <JBed> there is one problem
[23:38] <JBed> i saw "#database_tab #content_database"
[23:38] <JBed> this will break
[23:38] <JBed> so the fix is
[23:38] <JBed> just remove #content_database in those circumstances
[23:38] <JBed> should be fine

Metatemplate 'Header'Edit

I just discovered that the metatemple is a bit faulty when viewed in the Monobook view. Example: when I look at {{navbox FFX}} in the Oasis look "Final Fantasy X" is centered, but in the Monobook it's aligned to the left. Do you think you could 'fix' that for the Monobook?—Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) ∙ 20:04, April 5, 2014 (UTC)

Is that so, eh? I'll have a look into it. I don't use monobook, which is why I never knew about this.--FFVI Kefka Palazzo Sprite iOS Technobliterator TC 20:27, April 5, 2014 (UTC)
I don't blame you. I think like 90% of people visiting/using FFWiki doesn't even know about the Monobook.—Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) ∙ 20:31, April 5, 2014 (UTC)
Heh, fair enough. Only reason I default to Oasis is because I do a lot of developing on other wikis, and the non-logged in users will be viewing in Oasis so I may as well account for them first and foremost. Anyways. Hmm, you sure? When I tested here: http://s513.photobucket.com/user/Technobliterator/story/79865 ?useskin=monobook, this was my result. I'm not seeing the issue. Also it hasn't been reported before. You sure it's not an issue on your end?--FFVI Kefka Palazzo Sprite iOS Technobliterator TC 20:39, April 5, 2014 (UTC)
Might be as well. I wonder if something from my customised look might be affecting it. You can easily find them linked on my profile.—Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) ∙ 21:17, April 9, 2014 (UTC)
Yeah, that's the thing with having personal css and js; you always forget about it, then wonder why what you're seeing is different to what everyone else is seeing :D I think that's probably the reason, though. Oh btw, your js that makes the headers shown by default is no longer needed, because I now show headers by default (just with an option to hide them).--FFVI Kefka Palazzo Sprite iOS Technobliterator TC 21:20, April 9, 2014 (UTC)

Help with FFV? Edit

How do I defeat that boss at the Gohn Meteor? The one that Krile came out of on Bartz's world?

My Characters are in the early lvl 20s- Bartz is mainly a monk, but also has some bard skills. Lenna is a White Mage/Geomancer. Faris is a Knight/Black Mage/Summoner. Help please?

Thank you!

TMG- Why? (talk) 16:58, April 11, 2014 (UTC)

Manticore (Final Fantasy V), I think the strategies section can help you. Monterossa (talk) 17:04, April 11, 2014 (UTC)
Yeah, the strategies on the above page will be helpful. I found the boss fairly easy. I'd suggest turning at least one of your characters into a Ninja for the purpose of this fight (and some of these few around this time), just so you can throw Scrolls. They cost a little bit of gil, but they do a ton of damage. Oh, and slowing bosses helps as well, though from what you've told me, none of your characters are Time Mages at the moment.--FFVI Kefka Palazzo Sprite iOS Technobliterator TC 17:11, April 11, 2014 (UTC)

Galuf was my Ninja- But he abandoned me (the traitor! ;) ) Yeah, I am not the keenest fan of time magic, tbh. Even though it could be useful....I just don't like it. And I did consult the strategy guide on the wiki- Failed the fight for the third time...Who out of the three characters would be the best ninja? TMG- Why? (talk) 18:06, April 11, 2014 (UTC)

One of the joys of Final Fantasy V is that it really doesn't matter. Any of your characters can be a great ninja to the same effect. You'll absolutely need this job late. However, based on who your party are, I'd recommend you make Bartz a Ninja at the moment. Oh, and Time Magic? It's useful as hell. Right now you have mediocre time magic spells, but once you have Hastega and Slowga, you learn to love it. Early on in the game it isn't too necessary other than a few bosses. This one might be good. Don't worry too much btw about making your characters have different jobs for just a few fights. You can change afterwards, anyways.--FFVI Kefka Palazzo Sprite iOS Technobliterator TC 18:30, April 11, 2014 (UTC)

Try this, make a 4 blue mages party and spam "1000 needles". the boss has 3300 HP so you just need 4 turns to kill it. Monterossa (talk) 18:36, April 11, 2014 (UTC)

That's not doable. At the time, Galuf was no longer in the party, meaning you can only make a 3 blue mage team. That strat also makes the assumption that you've got that spell on a blue mage; and based on TMG's description of his party, I doubt it. I certainly never needed the spell.--FFVI Kefka Palazzo Sprite iOS Technobliterator TC 18:41, April 11, 2014 (UTC)

Firstly, it's a her- you're not the first to misjudge my gender online (Which is the main disadvantage of me having a gender neutral username and avatar picture.) Secondly, Bartz being a Ninja sounds cool! :) I could make Faris a temporary blue Mage, and have her go around the world learning blue magic (I have dabbled in it occasionally- but it wasn't cool in Tactics A2, same with Time Magic really) and I'll make Lenna my time Mage. Does that sound good? :) TMG- Why? (talk) 11:07, April 13, 2014 (UTC)

Hahaha, sincere apologies, I had no idea :D Well then, miss Mysterious Geek (that work? :D), yeah, that sounds alright with me. I don't think making Faris a Blue Mage is too necessary, but if you want to learn 1k Needles as Monterossa suggested, then sure, it's an alright tactic. Yeah, definitely make Lenna a Time Mage for the moment, and she can learn some more Time Magic when it gets necessary (ie when Slowga, Hastega and Teleport come into play). Making Bartz a ninja for now is a great idea because you'll want him to master the Ninja later on, so you may as well learn some stuff on him now. Anyways, yeah, hope this helps ^^--FFVI Kefka Palazzo Sprite iOS Technobliterator TC 12:10, April 13, 2014 (UTC)

You can't learn 1000 Needles after Ronka Ruins exploded though. It's the only chance to learn that magic in the first world but I think Aquabreath from Chimera (desert near the library) will be enough to kill this boss. Monterossa (talk) 13:45, April 13, 2014 (UTC)

Ok. Just need to get back to the airship, then fly to the desert near the library, get Aquabreath, grind a bit more and then.... It'll be time to fight as men! And ladies! And ladies who dress like men! For Miss TMG, it's fighting time! XD! TMG- Why? (talk) 15:57, April 13, 2014 (UTC)

I don't know why you thought adding {{#if}}s the way you did would work. JBed (talk) 22:38, May 2, 2014 (UTC)

Largely becasue I was too lazy and too time constrained to really think about it properly :D though I don't really need to think about it much to see why it fails. It's obvious now why it doesn't work, because parsers don't like pipes from tables. I'll just do it an easier way, partially because I'm lazy, but also because it might be somewhat important to tell people that there aren't 7 abilities like most jobs do have. New class colors for Spira seriesEdit

FFX X-2 HD Remaster Logo

Can you create a new class for it? There are some gallery contained images from both X and X-2 and now they don't have any color (Tidus#Gallery for the example).

We can use colors from X/X-2 logo:

  • #008DD6
  • #CB56D3

thanks. Monterossa (talk) 11:30, May 10, 2014 (UTC)

Hmm, I sure can, if X|X-2 HD Remaster is what we decide on. That's interesting. I was actually thinking of discussing whether we would use "Spira series" or "X|X-2 HD Remaster" for the games in future; personally I'm all for using X|X-2 HD Remaster instead considering that we use Complete Collection for FFIV. I won't make the class just yet, because that needs to be discussed with more people, but what you've given me is stuff I can definitely work with. Any chance you could make a navbox bg image (like one of these) if we do decide on X|X-2 remaster? Thanks a ton ^.^--FFVI Kefka Palazzo Sprite iOS Technobliterator TC 12:58, May 10, 2014 (UTC)
Spira class already exists for this. JBed (talk) 13:34, May 10, 2014 (UTC)
Yeah; we've decided to use Spira for the most part. However, a navboxbg based on X|X-2 HD would be pretty sweet (preferably without HD in the title?). Any chance you could work on that?--FFVI Kefka Palazzo Sprite iOS Technobliterator TC 14:05, May 10, 2014 (UTC)
I can do it. But it should be a "Spira series" navbox since we have that X-2.5 novel and maybe X-3 which are not part of X/X-2 HD Remaster. Monterossa (talk) 14:10, May 10, 2014 (UTC)
Yeah; I'm working on the Spira Series navbox right now. Not sure what page to link the title to?--FFVI Kefka Palazzo Sprite iOS Technobliterator TC 14:11, May 10, 2014 (UTC)

Arraymap magicEdit

My code worked I just copied an old revision into my JS from when it was borked.

So what I would have told you is that to turn an arraymap into JS you do this:

And I would have probably turned that into a function so you only had to input parameters, like: arraymap("<delimited sequence>", "<delimiter>", "<variable>", "<code>", "<new delimiter>") and that would be it.

But that's too easy. So I decided to write a function. It's currently in my JS, so you can't use it without C+P. But it works like this:

whateverTheHellICalledIt("<code>");

The code doesn't even have to contain an arraymap and it will return something. And it's recursive, so arraymaps inside arraymaps will be resolved.

Anyway, so the "new line warning". JavaScript doesn't allow you to /script/ new lines without typing "\n" characters. There is an easier way to do it though.

Open up an editform, put your code in the form, then in your console:

editform.value = whateverTheHellICalledIt(editform.value);

If this function freezes your browser, don't worry, it will return it to you in 5+ minutes. It just means that's something I haven't accounted for.

There may also be another problem. You can't use { x2 or x3 in any parameter except for the <code> one. So delim, new delim, variable, and the list cannot include a template or parameter. Or at least, it can contain a parameter, but it can't contain a pipe.

If you need to use a pipe in one of them, then it's probably about time I wrote a script that sorted that out. And technically I just did, I'd just have to extract it from the function I just wrote and make it its own function.

Wordy words words. Geddit? If it's broken debugging will be fine. JBed (talk) 22:51, May 10, 2014 (UTC)

Okay, something's managed to go wrong again. gh iasagilsd JBed (talk) 23:03, May 10, 2014 (UTC)

Okay, so the current code did this:

{{#arraymap:1,2,3,4,5|,|x|{{#arraymap:A,B,C,D,E|,|y|xy|}}| <nowiki/>}}

->

1A1B1C1D1E <nowiki/>2A2B2C2D2E <nowiki/>3A3B3C3D3E <nowiki/>4A4B4C4D4E <nowiki/>5A5B5C5D5E

The current build has a bunch of alerts and logs in for debug purposes. The numbers in the alert box are what the amount of "}"s it is searching for. So if the most recent opening was {*3, then it's looking for a }*3. JBed (talk) 23:22, May 10, 2014 (UTC)

Sounds good to me. I'll need to double check that I understand this completely though, so maybe next time you're on IRC before I start trying it out?--FFVI Kefka Palazzo Sprite iOS Technobliterator TC 13:30, May 11, 2014 (UTC)

Monobook's CSS isn't updating immediately. :( JBed (talk) 02:57, May 12, 2014 (UTC)

User:JBed/test. Bottom of page. Now paste arraymap content there and click "Render" and see if it works. There's also a box for CSS to format it in the standard way. JBed (talk) 03:51, May 12, 2014 (UTC)

This is what needs to be formatted up. So, let's check...if it's still {{#arraymap:value|delimiter|variable|formula|new_delimiter}}, then:

That should be it, right? Obviously including the class stuff I want to add as well, but yeah.--FFVI Kefka Palazzo Sprite iOS Technobliterator TC 16:47, May 12, 2014 (UTC)

EDIT: code fix, added collapsibles to this talk page section because it's a lot to scroll through.--FFVI Kefka Palazzo Sprite iOS Technobliterator TC 17:01, May 12, 2014 (UTC)

That should be fine. I can't be bothered to check properly unless/until it doesn't work. JBed (talk) 17:55, May 12, 2014 (UTC)

Waitwaitwait. It's the same problem I had before. Only the A block uses "flags=alpha", right? JBed (talk) 17:58, May 12, 2014 (UTC)
Mhmm, that's right. I imagine to solve that, just do the same thing but ignore "A" block?--FFVI Kefka Palazzo Sprite iOS Technobliterator TC 20:41, May 12, 2014 (UTC)
Yeah, I guess. If there is something unique to one you could do
{{subst:#ifeq:<x>|A|<stuff that is only for A>|<stuff that is for all not-A>}}
So in an array map
{{#arraymap:A,B,C|,|<x>|{{subst:#ifeq:<x>|A|<stuff that is only for A>|<stuff that is for all not-A>}}|
}}
Will become:
{{subst:#ifeq:A|A|<stuff that is only for A>|<stuff that is for all not-A>}}
{{subst:#ifeq:B|A|<stuff that is only for A>|<stuff that is for all not-A>}}
{{subst:#ifeq:C|A|<stuff that is only for A>|<stuff that is for all not-A>}}
And when you save the page that will become:
<stuff that is only for A>
<stuff that is for all not-A>
<stuff that is for all not-A>

--JBed (talk) 23:31, May 12, 2014 (UTC)

When I tried it, with the arraymap within an arraymap, it simply created one of those for each of the 1-20. Maybe I'll try without using numbers. So...

And then for A and T, I'd copypaste and just add |flags=alpha or |flags=omega. Simples.--FFVI Kefka Palazzo Sprite iOS Technobliterator TC 16:31, May 13, 2014 (UTC)

Oh right, yeah. Now I look, your "New plan" was never going to work because it is completely wrong. 92.24.164.63 18:04, May 13, 2014 (UTC)

Okay, let's try again.

Problem... Edit

I tried to do what you and JBed said, but the result is this mess. Is there anything you could do? I named all the templates I copied as they are on this wiki, including your userpage sandbox. --Pmbarbieri (talk) 21:25, May 12, 2014 (UTC)

For me, other than the lack of collapsibles, it looks mostly fine. You didn't need to copy the stuff from my userpage sandbox; that stuff is all purely for the documentation (explanation) of the navbox. If your wiki is italian, it probably won't need my english explanations of the template :P
I checked your contributions and the common.js. It seems you added everything correctly. This is puzzling, because in theory, the navbox show/hide should be working, but it's not. Javascript isn't my specialty, mind you, this is the part where JBed comes in.
Oh, by the way, the skin is hard to view for me in Wikia skin, but that seems a case of just making the text white to fix it. That's just me, though. Anyways, yeah; it's literally just a javascript problem. You did copy some stuff from this wiki;'s javascript that might not help you - Final Fantasy Wiki systems (code thieves: you probably won't need these) - that stuff indicates it's specific to this wiki.--FFVI Kefka Palazzo Sprite iOS Technobliterator TC 21:38, May 12, 2014 (UTC)

The skin problem is solved, but do you know how to make the Navbox title black, and make the font for the rest of the table tinier, like it is on this wiki? --Pmbarbieri (talk) 22:04, May 12, 2014 (UTC)

I do. And I'm curious. Because the smaller font is present in the nested navboxes (Navbox|nested) but not otherwise. As for the titles; well the Navbox titles default to black font in most cases if they are not specified. However, the Navbox titles are already black? They're just being overridden because your SL isn't working properly. This is confirmation of that.--FFVI Kefka Palazzo Sprite iOS Technobliterator TC 22:21, May 12, 2014 (UTC)

Maybe it's a problem with the class codes. Found out anything about the collapsibles? Because other templates in my wiki seem to work perfectly :/ --Pmbarbieri (talk) 22:29, May 12, 2014 (UTC)

In , replace

importScript('MediaWiki:Functions.js');

with

function rewriteSearchFormLink() {
	if( $('#searchform').length == 0 ) {
		return;
	}
	var links = document.getElementById('searchform').getElementsByTagName('a');

	if( links.length > 0 ) {
		links[0].href = wgScriptPath + '/index.php?title=Special:Search&adv=1';
	}
}

I'm busy so I'll look at other details later. JBed (talk) 22:58, May 12, 2014 (UTC)

iOS AchievementsEdit

Hiya! So I know this is like 20 days delayed, but I'm finally following up on those iOS FFVI achievements you enquired about. I kid you not, I've spent God knows how many hours of my life trying to get this last rage for Gau to get the "Master Rage" accolade, but that piece of trash Tonberry won't make an appearance. And the slots! Triple 7 is impossible to get on the smartphone, and I dare anyone to tell me otherwise.

Anywho, that's my life story for the last three weeks: I have most of the achievements, but I couldn't get all of them. I can take photos of those little circular trophies, sure, but who ought I send them to after I upload them? Should I ask them first? Questions, questions.CylindrusAltum 09:59, May 30, 2014 (UTC)

Aw, awesome :D Yeah, I can understand if you never manage to get those :P Well, you can send them to me, Drake or JBed, we're all pretty decent with image editing apps. And nah, I shouldn't think so; just put it on my talk page. Thanks a ton, that must have been stupid hard to do :P--FFVI Kefka Palazzo Sprite iOS Technobliterator TC 12:37, May 30, 2014 (UTC)

Righty-o, here's all that I've managed to acquire. Also, there's a lot of FFIVTAY achievements in there, since no one seems to be too interested in them. Wouldja mind cropping them as well if it's not too much trouble? CylindrusAltum 04:45, June 3, 2014 (UTC)

FFIV TAY iOS Achievement Bundle 10 FFIV TAY iOS Achievement Bundle 9 FFIV TAY iOS Achievement Bundle 8 FFIV TAY iOS Achievement Bundle 7 FFIV TAY iOS Achievement Bundle 6 FFIV TAY iOS Achievement Bundle 5 FFIV TAY iOS Achievement Bundle 4 FFIV TAY iOS Achievement Bundle 3 FFIV TAY iOS Achievement Bundle 2 FFIV TAY iOS Achievement Bundle 1 FFVI iOS Achievement Bundle 5 FFVI iOS Achievement Bundle 4 FFVI iOS Achievement Bundle 3 FFVI iOS Achievement Bundle 2 FFVI iOS Achievement Bundle 1

Awesome, great job! I'm on it now (and sure, it's no trouble at all). I'll start with the VI, and then move on to TAY's. Only problem; can you get a shot of the 5th one again? The top two achievements are a little cut off the top.--FFVI Kefka Palazzo Sprite iOS Technobliterator TC 12:04, June 3, 2014 (UTC)

preloadparamsEdit

I can't remember exactly what for but on a number of occasions the lack of support for "preloadparams[]" has come up. So I've tried to JS it into existence.

But I haven't tested it fully. So I expect "%20" might appear instead of spaces. Findings and replacings can solve that if this is an issue. Another problem is that createbox doesn't support it, but I can try to JavaScript an alternative.

There aren't many pages with $1 on so it's not easy to test. preloading MW messages with variables has the variables filled in.

But so like, if a page is "$1, $2, $3", the search "?action=preload&preloadparams[]=A&preloadparams[]=B&preloadparams[]=C" should result in "A, B, C". Although I've only tested with one parameter. But it works with one parameter.

All I remember is the point of "have to create a bazillion pages" being made.

Also I've added another load of GET/search URL things. so "javascript=false" will stop JS loading, "css=false" will remove all CSS, "theme=[oasis theme]" will load in another theme (terribly), and "tester=[true/false]" will make a user be able to view BETA stuff on a page, or stop those auto in that category from viewing it.

I also added some additional actions. These cause redirects. So for example "action=move" will take the user to Special:MovePage for the relevant page. Convenience! JBed (talk) 01:58, June 12, 2014 (UTC)

Hmm, that sounds sweet. I think it was for the documenting of navboxes on their individual navbox pages? Like, how the navboxbg appears as an image, and is linked to, on the navboxx page, and how there could be a full document. It would save having to write {{Doc|Navbox/doc/standard}} or something, especially since they're more varied on this wiki it would involve creation of more 'standard' pages for the different variables. I put the outline here.
It sounds like there's ton of good progress. Maybe testing the "class" parameter first, if you've only tested it using one param thus far?
But, of course, great to hear some good progress has been made.--FFVI Kefka Palazzo Sprite iOS Technobliterator TC 09:44, June 12, 2014 (UTC)

Bot stuff Edit

Sorry I didn't get your PM; I was out, but forgot to turn off my tablet, so it looked like I was still here. So that happened.

Anyways, yeah, I was wrong about the password. It's the first word of the three words I gave you, instead of all three. I was wondering why I made the password so long <_< And your idea with for a fix-links.py is what I originally planned to do with this before I realized I don't know how to use regexes and am too lazy to learn how ... but still not too lazy to type everything in by hand every time.

Also, I want to get the scripts uploaded to git tonight. From there, since you have all of the packages, you shouldn't have any problems as long as the sporewiki and ffwiki scripts are kept in different directories. C A T U S E 00:13, June 20, 2014 (UTC)

No problem, it's alright.
Yeah, I understand completely. I forgot TechnoBot's password for a while because I never had to log into it ever. That's one problem solved.
I could create it in user fixes then, I suppose? it basically seems designed for what I was planning to do. Which works for me. Another idea I had was customising usernames, so that it automatically adds our usernames every edit summary it creates.
Mhmm. I've created two bot folders, one containing IRC and pywikipedia bots for FFwiki, the other for SporeWiki. Should be alright. My git account name is the same name I use everywhere (Technobliterator stuck for a while) so if you want to add me to the repository it'd be nice. I'll follow it when it's uploaded.--FFVI Kefka Palazzo Sprite iOS Technobliterator TC 07:17, June 20, 2014 (UTC)
Alright, so github link. I will make a README with all the command commands and stuff sometime Soon™ C A T U S E 18:15, June 20, 2014 (UTC)
Awesome. I'll get everything set up shortly. And can hopefully work on that relink script asap.--FFVI Kefka Palazzo Sprite iOS Technobliterator TC 20:42, June 20, 2014 (UTC)
Oh, I forgot how to 'link' it to the version on git automatically, was there a way to get updates in github without downloading the zip each time? My memory fails me.--FFVI Kefka Palazzo Sprite iOS Technobliterator TC 22:21, June 20, 2014 (UTC)
Dunno, I've never contributed to git before. If I ever wanted to share code with someone I'd just use my personal site. C A T U S E 00:17, June 21, 2014 (UTC)
Ah, okay. Anyways, I'll push to that repository soon as I got the script ready. The bot is working fine for me now, thanks ^.^--FFVI Kefka Palazzo Sprite iOS Technobliterator TC 11:22, June 21, 2014 (UTC)
Correction: it should be working fine. Two things, what was that code to get it to fix links without the delay? Secondly, it's still showing that massive long replace.py script that it was before. Not sure what I'm doing wrong :|--FFVI Kefka Palazzo Sprite iOS Technobliterator TC 17:08, June 21, 2014 (UTC)

Bleh, giant indents. The parameters are -pt:0 -always. And I have no idea why that happens, except that you could be missing some packages in your distro (probable, since you were missing python-beautifulsoup). I also don't know how to view installed packages in Ubuntu, but here's what I have. This is a giant list and probably useless, but at least we can rule out the python3 packages (pywikipedia is written in python2) and the Final Fantasy XII music. <_< C A T U S E 20:15, June 21, 2014 (UTC)

Totally agreed, indents are annoying :P Anyways, so I sent you a message on IRC, I suppose you weren't available when I sent it. Basically; I've had trouble figuring out the script and a lot of it is wikipedia-centric. I'm not sure if there's anywhere else to get help for this, though.--FFVI Kefka Palazzo Sprite iOS Technobliterator TC 19:50, June 22, 2014 (UTC)

Just use python replace.py -transcludes:"Template Name Here" -pt:0 -always. See here. C A T U S E 05:50, June 24, 2014 (UTC)

Do you know regex? Because I think I figured out how to make solve_disambiguations.py work on SL and LA links; you need to change the regexes in firstlinks(), setupRegexes(), and findAlternatives(). But \[\[(?P<title>[^\]\|#]*)(?P
