My nomination.[edit source]

Thanks for the nomination. I accept it, and have several ideas in store for this Wiki. I have posted a little something in the community portal, and am more than happy to continue working on this. Most of my major work will be on FFIV from now on, but I have plans in the works for an FFVI bestiary as well. I'd like to create a template for an enemy, if at all possible, and I need some help with that. It makes it look a lot nicer than the two FFVI enemy pages I have up now (Cactrot and Ghost (Final Fantasy VI Enemy)). Crazyswordsman 21:56, 13 March 2006 (UTC)

Thanks again. If I have the power to do so, I may appoint you as chief editor for the FFI, II, Tactics, and TA sections, meaning I'll let you decide policies for those sections. Crazyswordsman 22:42, 19 March 2006 (UTC)

I think your idea is better. I just wish that there were more people around here so we could actually have these kinds of discussions, though, heh. Our current situation is this: there's us two, several editors who copy articles from Wikipedia, and anonymous contributors (and vandals, which I have managed to keep at bay). We need to get some more people to actually come. Any ideas? Crazyswordsman 00:30, 20 March 2006 (UTC)

FFVI enemy template.[edit source]

Thanks! I'll work it from there. Crazyswordsman 03:12, 14 March 2006 (UTC)

Game Sprites[edit source]

As far as I know, there are no restrictions for uploading game sprites as long as they have the .png, .jpg, or .gif extention (usually we use .png for sprites, because they are ripped from an emulator and the .gif and .jpg extensions ruin the color). As for legal reasons, I'm sure it's okay as long as we don't take credit for creating the sprites. If people can get away with making sprite comics, we certainly can get away with uploading sprites here. I plan on writing a tutorial on the proper ways to get sprites. Attracting new users[edit source]

Many of them know about this place, and I don't know who is linking here and who to BlueShinra's Wiki. I do know that many of the senior members of Project Final Fantasy over there know about this place, and they're basically working on our FFX section. I was going to just let them do their thing here, and save discussion for when our paths cross. Once this site gets more and more articles, they'll show up high on a Google search, and that's probably how most people come here. That's how the Homestar Runner Wiki got most of its members. A thanks, as well as a tentative Vandalism policy[edit source]

Thanks again for everything. I got your message, and a countervandalism policy is actually one of the first things I'm considering. Here's the tentative policy I thought of:

  • First two times: Verbal warnings
  • Thrid time: 24 hour block
  • Fourth time: 72 hour block
  • Fifth time: One week block
  • Sixth time: Monthlong block
  • Seventh time: Indefinite ban.

I am also a Special:Recent changes patroller, and have always been one, so I'll be able to spot vandalism easily. I'm also considering protecting the Main Page, as it seems to be a frequent target. Let me know what you think! Crazyswordsman 03:54, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

Valvalis picture[edit source]

That's the official Amano art, not fanart. Caves of Narshe says it is (I didn't get it from there; they don't let you take their images), as does (where I did get the image from, as I do most of the Amano art, and it has public links to their image library, in which they allow it for use). I also linked to many other sites that have this same picture. Therefore I am removing the violation tag. Crazyswordsman 01:54, 30 March 2006 (UTC)

Something else, too.[edit source]

When you're categorizing a character, enemy, location, etc, could you please put it in a category that relates to that game, such as "Final Fantasy Tactics locations" or "Final Fantasy Tactics enemies" instead of the main one? I have to go around recategorizing everything. Thanks! Crazyswordsman 02:41, 30 March 2006 (UTC)

Pages for Deletion[edit source]

Thanks for the heads up. If I knew what this article was actually about, I'd probably stub it and put some relevent topic in. We actually have a crapload of these nonsense articles around here. Many of them can be legit if they are stubbed. Most of them are FF7 and FFX related (most passers by make meaningless edits related to these games. I'm focusing on the SNES games before I get to them, though. And we now have someone who's been working on FF7 and beyond articles, so I can focus my efforts on FFs 4, 5, and 6.

Let me know if you see another of these articles. I'll probably speedy crap articles if I see them pop up in the recent changes. Crazyswordsman 02:45, 7 April 2006 (UTC)

IP problems[edit source]

I don't know exactly what's going on. I had a similar problem awhile back, but it seemed to solve itself. I'm having problems of my own, actually (when I say "Save page" it goes to the "Preview page" screen, sometimes as many as three times before the page actually registers.

As for Confusion, the redirect is put in. I will also need to make redirects for Muddle and Muddled (NOT Charm, as Charm can be a status unto itself in some games). Crazyswordsman 21:17, 10 April 2006 (UTC)

Ted Woolsey Afd[edit source]

I got rid of the vandalism and put in something that should be a good placeholder for now. I'm not deleting it. Crazyswordsman 02:45, 14 April 2006 (UTC)

Disambig pages[edit source]

I don't know how. I don't think it matters too much, honestly. Crazyswordsman 20:40, 17 April 2006 (UTC)

I deleted the "Silver Chocobo" article.[edit source]

The reason is that it doesn't exist. Not just in FFVII, but in the games I've played.

Also, I'd like to clarify where second person is appropriate: Gameplay strategy. And even then, it's recommended to try and use "players" instead of "you." When we get around to writing walkthroughs, it will become more appropriate to use second person. In general, character and location articles should avoid this. It's okay for enemy articles, though. Crazyswordsman 15:04, 21 April 2006 (UTC) yeah it dosent exist [[User:Cloud345|Cloud345 4:34 May 23 2006 (UTC)
