Hello and welcome to the Wiki.—Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) ∙ 11:02, July 26, 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for working on the Type-0 articles. There are quite a few little things still missing. :) I don't know if there is some handy online resource where we could get all S-rank rewards etc.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 02:38, August 1, 2015 (UTC)

Hi! There are a lot of other scattered resources of varying quality and completeness, but I think this wiki is the most broadly reliable, and much more adaptable than most guides. Many of the online sources are confused by hang-over knowledge from the Japanese/PSP version, and the famous spreadsheets are fundamentally written about the Japanese versions.

I'm reluctant to borrow from others' information. Not because it's illegitimate, but because we still have the game in our hands, so to speak. I am learning from them, but playing it myself. I figured I'd just add in little bits from my own experience because even though I'll never master the game or collect every item (and I don't really have time to investigate or experiment) the little bits of extra knowledge could help some people...

And to be honest, I can only blindly guess how many of the inner mechanics work, and I don't like to publish without being as sure as can be. I got S-rank for the same mission on different difficulties and got specific items for each difficulty (not including Cadet), but inexplicable items for the S-rank reward. Is it random after the first S-rank reward? Is it a different S-rank reward for each difficulty? Or is it a percentage chance from the beginning?

I'm definitely overthinking it. ...At the end of the day I'm just adding drops to the ocean, I should stop wasting time and just contribute. Thanks for all your great work to date everyone. I never would have gotten so much out of the game without this wiki :) Prem-aka-Prince (talk) 03:04, August 1, 2015 (UTC)

I have been adding things from the game as I come across them. Some missions I have failed to S-rank though. My theory is there are 4 or so "random" rewards for S-rank missions, Megalixir always being an option (not not usually the one you get the first time). I have done the Missions (Type-0)/Covering the Cadets mission enough times to be pretty sure those are the only S-rank rewards for Officer, but I haven't managed to S-rank it on Agito. I wouldn't be surprised if different difficulty modes have different rewards. Maybe one day someone will hack the game and we get a list of every possible reward.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 03:15, August 1, 2015 (UTC)
I tried to do the one you needed, but when I finished I was not even close to S-rank xD So I just continued with NG+ so I can get better gear first. Just added another S-rank reward as normal, but something went wrong with the page and it appears to have gone blank! Not sure if it's a temporary issue or something I've done wrong! Any ideas? http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Missions_%28Type-0%29/Mission_Under_Ceasefire
If it goes blank then go to edit mode and press submit without changing anything and it should load it afresh. That's a Wikia bug or something. If you find items that are not in the item list, then you should add them! Use the sort function to get the in-game order of the items.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 16:59, August 1, 2015 (UTC)
That page seems to have sorted itself out. Good news about your mission! I just S-ranked it on Agito and got a Circlet for my troubles (along with the Eidolon for completing on Agito). It was my first S-rank on the mission, as I narrowly missed out on my first try on Cadet due to an SP dying on me >_< (and, even though I went alone, I forgot that accepting SP forfeits the army of one bonus). Finished it with an A rank then.

I haven't put it on the page as I thought you might want to word it your way. I'll add the new item to the items page later when I have a few more and have used one Prem-aka-Prince (talk) 00:03, August 2, 2015 (UTC).

Nice, so all difficulty levels have their own rewards. I'm not sure I have ever had an Auric Hourglass to be able to add it to the item list. Sounds like Type-0's version of the Gold Hourglass.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 15:18, August 2, 2015 (UTC)
Not confirmed that all difficulty levels have their own rewards, as it could just be the random element. Might be worth investigating but I don't really want to do any testing where it involves not saving progress...

Yeah, it seems like it may be a type of Gold Hourglass, as it turns out the Auric is already listed on that page! It was added by a very helpful user called Twilit_Nait, though they seem to have moved on a couple of months ago...

Their description there is correct though, each gives an extra 2 days of free time and preliminary results suggest it can only be obtained from Code Crimson missions... which confuses me, as why would you need them in NG+ unless you've really screwed up your use of free time for a playthrough and a half? I'm finishing Ch5 and there's plenty of time to do everything including all expert missions as long as you did a reasonable amount of ! events last playthrough (so they become 0 time on repeat) instead of wandering out or doing too many Expert Trials. I guess it might help if you weren't looking at guides and planning your time carefully, but given its rarity, it doesn't seem very easy to stumble upon for such a player. Anyway thanks for the replies! I hope I'm not boring you with my long rants lol Prem-aka-Prince (talk) 15:56, August 2, 2015 (UTC)

Good work on the Type-0 stuff as always. :) You wouldn't happen to have "The Ultima War" entry for the Annals of Orience? That seems to be the only one we're missing. I'm assuming you get it for doing Tower of Agito or something hard like that so no one's managed to add it.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 17:49, August 26, 2015 (UTC)

Done! And confirmed. It comes from turning in Tagisu's Crystal to the collector (not before). This crystal is obtained in Tower of Agito near the top before the final boss. Tower of Agito is not as hard as I thought it was, all you need is level 99 Rem, high power Fire Bom-II or Blizzard Bom-II, decent (but not necessarily max) Tornado/Meteor/Ultima, and an SP Crystal (top level SP Rank Reward).
Level can be easily gained from the Secret Training trick, Tornado can be unlocked Ch3 Agito, Fire Bom-II from Ch7's last mission on Officer, and the SP Crystal can be farmed at any time and is super OP lol.
Alternatively Ultima can also be farmed at any time from SPP which is easier than Tornado (though not quicker), and Blizzard Bom-II comes from Ch6 Crimson on Officer (the only one that is halfway through NG+, so Fire Bom-II is available much sooner). Prem-aka-Prince (talk) 12:56, August 27, 2015 (UTC)
Thanks for adding it! If you want to add a walkthrough/tips to the Tower of Agito article that would be great. :) It would go under a header "Quests".Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 21:24, August 27, 2015 (UTC)

More Help with Rubicus[edit source]

Just noticed that the entry "Soryu Military Reform" is missing from the Annals of Orience, and I can't find it anywhere online to add it. I don't know if it is an entry that is hard to unlock or it was just otherwise missed. I will check my game later to see if I have it, but might I ask for your help in adding it if I don't have it myself?Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 21:54, October 30, 2015 (UTC)

Hi K, it's been a while. I haven't touched the game for a couple of months now, I thought I was in the middle of something but I guess after 200 hours I realised it was getting silly and abandoned what I was doing (which is a bit of a shame in its own way, but now I've started so many other games).
Anyway, you asked so nicely that I couldn't just ignore you, so I threw the disc in and updated the entry fully. Hope that helps. It's really cool that you're still working on this like a long term project, I hope more people appreciate that. Prem-aka-Prince (talk) 23:42, October 30, 2015 (UTC)
I'm always working on something around here. Nice, thanks! I'm trying to put all info from the Rubicus to the other pages, eventually.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 00:19, October 31, 2015 (UTC)
