welcome[edit source]

Welcome to the Wiki! Just a quick pointer, that it's not really worth adding onto discussions that are several years old. If in doubt check the dates on a user's signature. Thanks and enjoy your stay. Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle.png 20:48, January 15, 2014 (UTC)

Re:Long time no see[edit source]

Sorry. I'm not best in creating articles from scratch, if it's what you meant.--LeafShinobi (talk) 20:46, August 7, 2014 (UTC)

I don't know if there's a need. Maybe ask someone else.--LeafShinobi (talk) 20:53, August 7, 2014 (UTC)

SE-Official guide books[edit source]

Yep, every SE-official guide book should have an article. JBed (talk) 20:55, August 7, 2014 (UTC)

Manual of Style[edit source]

Please remember that when writing game names in articles they should be in italics and using numerals not numbers, so Final Fantasy XII not Final Fantasy 12. Thanks! Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle.png 13:36, October 1, 2014 (UTC)

Adding headers to talk pages[edit source]

There's really no need. Why are you doing that? Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle.png 12:55, April 14, 2015 (UTC)

Awesome screenshot of Seitengrat[edit source]

Looks great. There's hardly any images of one holding the weapon/of the arrow "trophy" on Google image search, just pics of the chest.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 16:16, January 18, 2019 (UTC)

The old image was a scan from the Zodiac Job Ultimania that has like a very small image in the book. The Great Trango one is probably from there too. A new crisp one would be stellar, though!Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 16:28, January 18, 2019 (UTC)

MP[edit source]

There is an enemy in the English BradyGames guide and Split Infinity's FFXII guide that has its info from the Ultimania, that has 2000+ MP. I already forgot what enemy it was! One of those floating reaper types like Dustia, I think. That's the enemy we should test really, but I don't know if it's feasible, since not all enemies can be syphoned and some absorb MP from you or whatever it was that Annul does.

What is this "original Japanese guide"? Is it official? Is it on Amazon? It could have an article if it is "Square Enix approved" material. The trivia could be "[name of publication] cites the enemy's MP as xxxx-xxxx, but subsequent guides list it as 999." Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 09:51, March 22, 2019 (UTC)

Oversoul! That's the one. Doesn't look like it's possible to syphon it. Nihopalaoa+Ether could sap it but would it display...? It also doesn't even use magick, what's with that high MP pool then! Elvoret seems testable. Could put silence on it as first move to stop it from using its own MP.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 17:45, March 22, 2019 (UTC)
Hey. Guess what. I tested Elvoret and...all the guides are LIES it has 999 MP! I tried like four Elvoret and it's the same every time.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 01:40, March 24, 2019 (UTC)
I really don't think they will have 999+ MP but also can't think of a way to look at their MP values. It's in the trivia that they are among the few with MP listed above that at least.
See, all you need to do is download the original JP version for an emulator and then play till all these supposedly 999+MP enemies become available as well as Syphon (already forgot where you even get that). Easy-peasy, report back. ;)
I'm playing the PS4 version.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 01:55, March 24, 2019 (UTC)

How do they even come up with the specific stat values anyway? Can't imagine someone is doing it one-by-one. Maybe they were generated by some kind of algorithm and then they capped the MP because it doesn't really matter anyway for monsters, they don't need to "dungeon crawl" and conserve. That the 999+MP foes are all one after the other is interesting also.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 02:21, March 24, 2019 (UTC)
