Map Colours[]

I'm fully aware that Special Locked Areas are gold whereas normal Locked Areas are red, but the problem is that gold contravenes the Manual of Style for the Dissidia colours. The only allowed colours for Dissidia tables and infoboxes are blue (#4682B4) and red (#FA8072). Plus, once the wiki rolls out the class="ffia" etc. coding then they would have to be red anyway. Jeppo (Talk | contribs) 12:40, October 11, 2009 (UTC)

Oh ok... I just wanted to make sure that these Locked Areas could be easily distinguished from the areas locked by enemies... If that makes problem, then sorry for that... I will find a different way for distinguishing them MMLN メーマウリアン 13:12, October 11, 2009 (UTC)

DO wording[]

I'm glad you wanna help out with that, however, I think you're changing them wrong. Last I heard, they're all supposed to be the way they were BEFORE you changed them. -- Lycentia Stuffcocoa.gif 06:46, October 13, 2009 (UTC)

Hmm... If that is true I will redo them back into what it was before :( I was taking examples from DO IV and II... and I was more inclined into the way how II looked :( If you can, please let me know which DO has (or had before my edits :P) the correct look and I will redo everything which I was working on into same look MMLN メーマウリアン 07:24, October 13, 2009 (UTC)
The Shade Impulses have the correct wordings. I was going to change the DOs before I got distracted with taking the screenshots. The guides have to be moved below the maps though. Don't worry about it. I'll fix it. -- Lycentia Stuffcocoa.gif 07:49, October 13, 2009 (UTC)
Heh ok, I was just checking the maps, while i was doing my 3rd-5th playthrough through some of the Odysseys, and found that few of them looks totaly different than other ones, and one DO had bad descriptions assigned to pieces almost in every stage, so I decided to make some edits to it :P MMLN メーマウリアン 08:31, October 13, 2009 (UTC)

Have you not heard my tale of the IMDB and Final Fantasy? It's apparently made me infamous in some circles. Drake Clawfang 08:49, October 29, 2009 (UTC)

Never heard of it, sorry. MMLN メーマウリアン 08:51, October 29, 2009 (UTC)
Long story short - I got fed up with the Dissidia naming debate, so I added "Megan Hollingshead" to the Dissidia IMDB page as Terra's VA. Flash forward a couple weeks, people here, on Wikipedia and on fansite forums, are taking it as fact and are sourcing it to IMDB. Take it from someone who has proven it - IMDB is not reliable for sourcing VAs. Drake Clawfang 08:55, October 29, 2009 (UTC)
Heh ok, if you have such lol experience with them, no more using them as source by me :) But before I have never experienced some wrong information from them, when I was looking for some stuff :) MMLN メーマウリアン 09:00, October 29, 2009 (UTC)
I never heard about that either. It is LOL XD -- Lycentia Stuffcocoa.gif 09:26, October 29, 2009 (UTC)

Yes, I find it amusing too, and I know of others who share that opinion. I also know of others who do not and in fact, have declared their hatred of me. That's part of why it's so amusing. Drake Clawfang 09:30, October 29, 2009 (UTC)

Hi there. Just a heads up: when making small changes, such as grammar fixes and linking, it's preferred that you mark your edits as "minor" by checking the box just above the "save page" button. This notifies other editors that your change does not need to be checked over, and helps prevent RC flooding. Thanks. — YuanSalve!Acta 11:03, November 12, 2009 (UTC)

Oh OK, will check all link fixes in future with "m" aswell MMLN メーマウリアン 11:10, November 12, 2009 (UTC)

haha thank you :D MMLN メーマウリアン 18:44, November 13, 2009 (UTC)
You're welcome :] funny thing.. I just hit 1000 edits today too =o lol - Ash Crimson 19:06, November 13, 2009 (UTC)
Then congratulations to you too :P MMLN メーマウリアン 19:12, November 13, 2009 (UTC)

u like cloud?[]

i like cloud :)--CloudisAwesome 18:24, November 24, 2009 (UTC)

All the info that has been added is valid, if in Japanese - You can go to the IRC and ask Yuanchosaan about it if you'd like to make sure. Drake Clawfang 09:58, November 27, 2009 (UTC)

will check it out then...
I have checked it out, and the name is Hecatonchires, and there is still a chance thet it could be translated differently, so unless i see the official english name, i don't think it should be made big fuss about it, at least not going to make new pages... if you want to stay objective, i think it should be noted that at the moment is only know his Romanized name, and all others are assumptions... MMLN メーマウリアン 10:08, November 27, 2009 (UTC)
EDIT: Just think about Sazh's summon... After we got it's name in katakana, we had many people here claiming they're own translations for correct one: Brunhlide, Brunhildr, Brynhild, Brynhilde, Brynhildr... All these names could be translated from katakana, and realy could be correct so from Hecatonchires, we can get a lot of english names aswell... Starting with Hekaté, going through Hecatoncheir and ending with Hacatonchires MMLN メーマウリアン 10:35, November 27, 2009 (UTC)

Don't wanna make a big thing of this, but can I say "I told you so" now? YellowMage 14:24, November 28, 2009 (UTC)

What did you told me? I dont see any English name announced anywhere, only thing I see, is fanmade kana translation... MMLN メーマウリアン 16:29, November 28, 2009 (UTC)
I mean about when I added the stuff about Hecatoncheir and you reverted it saying that it hadn't been confirmed yet. Again, I don't wanna make a big thing out of this. YellowMage 00:52, November 29, 2009 (UTC)
By bringing it up and saying "I told you so", making a big deal of it is exactly what you're doing. Drake Clawfang 00:56, November 29, 2009 (UTC)
As i said, it has not been confirmed in english yet, all we do have is jast edit spree with fan-made katakana translation, nothing else... MMLN メーマウリアン 01:40, November 29, 2009 (UTC)
Actually, no, the newest scans have it spelled out in English. I can post a scan if you like, but I'm not arguing for or against anything. Honestly, I waited for the scan. Bluestarultor 01:47, November 29, 2009 (UTC)
That would be awesome :) MMLN メーマウリアン 01:52, November 29, 2009 (UTC)

Ask and you shall receive! Bluestarultor 02:33, November 29, 2009 (UTC)

Thank you :) MMLN メーマウリアン 03:52, November 29, 2009 (UTC)

Jeppo's Challenge Award[]

FF2Chocobo.gif "Kweeeehh! *huff* *puff* Kweeeehhhhh!!! Wark..."
This cluttered eyesore is to certify that MMLN has completed Jeppo's Challenge #9!

What the chocobo is trying to say is "Stop playing Dissidia! *huff* *puff* You're wearing me out! Can't run anymore..."

50px "Bliss is so fleeting..."
This cluttered eyesore is to certify that MMLN has completed Jeppo's Challenge #11 with Zidane Tribal!

Despite head-butting one of the Italian players in the 2006 World Cup Final, Zidane now enjoys a peaceful retirement in the-- oh hold on, wrong person. Rewind!

After sticking his dagger into Kuja-- oh hold on, that might be misunderstood. Ah, forget it. Zidane is the master of everything. That's all that needs to be said.

Vivi Ornitier from Final Fantasy IX render.png "Yeeeeow! Look at all the Abilities!"
This special gold eyesore is to certify that MMLN is the first player to complete Jeppo's Challenge #11 with Vivi Orunitia!

As the most powerful, all-knowing mage around, every child around kept pestering their parents for a Black Mage doll, especially the ones that said "KILL!" after poking its belly. As a result, half the world's population went in flames. Oh, well. At least Vivi knows the Water spell to douse the blaze.

Are you a beta tester? If so aren't you breaking their terms by posting information on the game here? Jeppo (Talk | contribs) 11:14, July 23, 2010 (UTC)

I am not beta-tester. I posted only information, which is publicly available on official FFXIV webpage MMLN メーマウリアン 12:49, July 23, 2010 (UTC)
I also worked as beta-tester for some MMOs, so I fully understand, what the NDA means, and I know as well, that at this moment, posting any not officialy released information here, which is still under NDA, could under some circumstances bring trouble for the wiki aswell. So I cherry-picked only informations which were confirmed to public by Square Enix themselves MMLN メーマウリアン 13:01, July 23, 2010 (UTC)
