Wikilinks

I wrote it in a summery, but of course, external links don't work there... So here we go again:
"Koku, go here and read about Wikilinks. The entire "word (link)" thing your currently doing isn't working out)".
As an example, in Hunter (Final Fantasy V), you wrote "Rapid Fire (X-Fight)" in stead of just "Rapid Fire". Other than that, keep up the good work. --Hecko X 16:24, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

Good work

I see you've been busy updating several articles whose titles have been remade, e.g. FFVI and FFIII. Keep up the good work. --Hecko X 21:51, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

I should probably remind you..

We decided long ago the translation we use for each game will be the earliest one that appears. So it's the NES translations for FFI, FFII, and FFIII, and the SNES ones for FFIV, FFV, and FFVI that we're using. Crazyswordsman 05:18, 21 December 2006 (UTC)

I can see preferring numbers over the -ra/aga style naming, but the new translations as a whole are better and consistent with the series. You should really reconsider.koku 07:44, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

While we're on the subject

Okay, better than double sword? What do you use in its place out of interest?

Concentrate. It helps out... well everything that being more accurate helps. Double Sword does zilch for Holy Blade, Sonic Boom, Blue Magic etc. Two of the same rod won't help except to learn things faster (which is nice).

In earlier games, Double Sword had another (and still more powerful) ability to tag along with. X-Fight in V and VI. Martial Arts in Tactics. No such luck in TA.koku 12:08, 21 December 2006 (UTC)

I'm going to ask you this right now.

Please leave the FFVI names as the Woolsey names. --Crazyswordsman 06:13, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

The job names were not in the SNES or Anthology versions. The Advance version is the first official English translation. There is no reason Magitek Elite should be omitted from Terra's page.

Fang is just as acceptable as Dispatch. Meteor Strike is just as acceptable as Suplex, especially given that it matches with Tifa and Zell. Both names should be on there. And so it should be for the equipment, spells etc.koku 11:15, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

Actually, the first official English translation was the Woolsey (much to my dismay, since I find them a bit too creative), which means they are here to stay. So after the original SNES names, write: (called xxxxx in the Advance version). E.g. for Pummel: "Pummel (called Raging Fist in the Advance version) deals physical damage to..." blah blah. --Hecko X 11:24, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

Then Shields aren't in FFVI, Shlds are. Honestly, I'm getting tired of both the anachronists and the "It's Tina, not Terra" JP ONRY~ crowd. To me it's as silly as people whining about "Roxxor" or "It's morphin time!" koku 11:31, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

The character names are taboo, but feel free to change those retarded item names in the SNES version. --Auron Kaizer 13:31, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
Oh no you don't! --Crazyswordsman 17:55, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
Also, I changed them to say SNES name (GBA name) --Crazyswordsman 18:11, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

Mog____ rather than Ku____ seem to be the only character difference.

You're already using the better spaced PSX names. The newer names as a whole match up better with the rest of the series. koku 03:37, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

Actually, the SNES version has more spaces than the PSX. What was Tyrannosaur in the SNES was Tyrano in PSX. --Crazyswordsman 03:43, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

Thanks

Thanks for catching my spelling mistakes. Pretty obvious I copied and pasted it all (of course, I'd be mad not to have Copy and Paster). Diablocon 17:03, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

Translators and the like. I have a friend who imports, but he sounded like he was more interested in War of the Lion last time we talked.koku 15:57, 16 June 2007 (UTC)

Something weird happened when you edited it and messed up the templates at the bottom. I couldn't tell what information you actually added. Could you try it again maybe? | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |

I dunno what happened. the White Mage page was fine, that one looked ok on preview, and right now I had to refresh this page to get the editor to even load. koku 23:49, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
