Item ListsEdit

Interesting... Edit

When I link, I open up ten tabs at a time, click edit page, click "next" on the find feature, press Ctrl+V, click minor edit, click save page, go to next tab, click edit, (then as soon as the last tab changed from "Editing *", to "*", close last tab, and repeat with new tab.

On FF2, you can click "Next", then paste whatever you want and it will replace it automatically. On FF3 you cannot. You click Next, and when you paste it will paste into the search box. When you do click next on FF3, the thing you were finding will turn green, you have to click on it and drag slightly in one direction and let go, then click paste.

It was easier using my family computer, uses FF2, has mouse. The touchpad on my laptop looks a little messed up. There's some sort of thin covering over a shiny surface; well there's a shiny surface in the middle where I've managed to rub it off. :D. And then of course there are times where when moving the cursor it just gets stuck, so I have to hit it for it to start moving.  ILHI 11:37, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

I'd probably do that myself. But I do a lot of major edits for another wiki. I have to reformat loads of character articles, splitting the article up into appearances in different games, and canon events, and write their role. I do more minor editing here. Bigger wiki = More things that aren't perfect on it. I'm lead admin of the said other wiki, yet here I've done double (?) the edits, for somewhere between a third and a tenth of the time. (I don't keep track of time very well)  ILHI 11:47, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

But I...and you...and...and...*_* Edit

Being the man I am, instead of thanking you for the kind words, I shall say this: I could have done it faster had this computer not being stupidly slow. :D

But thanks anyways. Though my computer did feel like being incredibly slow.  ILHI 19:46, 17 August 2008 (UTC)

Editing, eh?Edit

Dissidia Cecil
All my edits are linking. Which is all minor. But the way I do it is to use the find feature, find the instance, and paste the corrected link in its place.

In more detail, I shall simply quote myself further up the page:

"I open up ten tabs at a time, click edit page, click "next" on the find feature, press Ctrl+V, click minor edit, click save page, go to next tab, click edit, (then as soon as the last tab changed from "Editing *", to "*", close last tab) and repeat with new tab." I don't get bored from doing tedious jobs.  ILHI 21:39, 17 August 2008 (UTC)

Ahh, yes. I do tend to get bored of thems. And then forget to return to them... However, I have proved myself to get less bored doing this than my younger brother. Which is something, even if he is nothing.

But then some of them seem endless. I've head people say they're at a level over 200. Which, of course just makes me laugh to myself how they can drain their life on an online game. Then I wonder why I use my time editing wikis.

But meh, I find this relatively fun. Which is what the gets the MMO addicts playing for so long.  ILHI 22:04, 17 August 2008 (UTC)

That too. According to one guy at my school who plays RuneScape, you can't call someone "a n00b" unless they're over ten levels below you. Which I found stupid. But then that's why I hang around with him and co. I can't help but laugh at how they play RuneScape and brag about it to each other at school.  ILHI 22:13, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
Nah, they just show off their stuff to each other. But yeah, they do use MMO terms in real life. "I've got a Rune Scimi'". And "I killed like 30 in a clan war because they had really good attack but really low defense".  ILHI 22:24, 17 August 2008 (UTC)

No, and the thing is I'm going on holiday for a week starting tomorrow. So I'll be able to do it all then, but you'll have to wait until like September. Sorry.  ILHI 08:32, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

Moving Edit

Then I shall hassle you everytime you do do this.  ILHI 20:12, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

Because it's how a normal move works. The page history goes with the page they edited. Yes, at the new page no one will know you copied and pasted, it will only show up as you creating the whole page. The page history is why, it's the method used.

Bluerfn had a go at BH a while back for doing this. Cementing the fact that this is what admins want you to do.  ILHI 20:31, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

I donno. I think in this case it was because there was a talk page at the new destination.  ILHI 20:38, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

I think I beat the system!!

I went to another page, clicked "Move", then changed the URL so it said the new Hagger title, then I just moved it. I'm not sure why that would work and not what you did, but meh.

You can also go to Move Log and click revert, no? I didn't do that though.  ILHI 20:50, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

Description: is laughing.

Know me.  ILHI 20:21, 27 August 2008 (UTC)

Very nearly. Expect it to be done before next week. If it isn't, then you've learned the lesson to never trust me.  ILHI 21:05, 27 August 2008 (UTC)

Not unless I have a scanner by me. Which I don't. Can I clear something up however, should the Giot have four or six arms? Usually Gilgamesh has six, but in one of your descriptions you say "with 4 arms".  ILHI 21:17, 27 August 2008 (UTC)

English Edit

Two reasons:
  • Consistency.
  • In UK releases (well, noticed it in FFVII) they still use US English.

For consistency, I will use US English, (even though, as you might now, I'm from England) we don't want a wiki that uses two different languages in different places now, do we? Though this, I was originally changing instances of colour to color, and armour to armor.

My holiday, was, well not much of a holiday. If you've been on a canal boat holiday then you'll know why. But it was a nice break, can't say I'd do it again, well at least for a week. I didn't get time to do most of what I was going to. TV was bad, wireless on my laptop broke, food was good, over 20 mosquitoes attracting to one light because someone opened windows, but did not close curtains was bad. But overall it was good. Thanks for askin'.  ILHI 11:06, 28 August 2008 (UTC)

art yoEdit

Hope Estheim
Not being able to get at the scanner all of yesterday... they're now all scanned up for colouring. Remember, I do have a life outside of everything, I don't like being bugged. I will work on them today, but distractions don't help. I should get at least a few done to today before someone says I've been on the computer too long.

I'm doing this work for you, even though I have to go back to school in the next three days and I haven't even started my Art homework. That can't seriously be good that I'm doing work for other people instead of doing my homework of the same genre. Well at least I can say I've practised art in the time.

Would you really get people to go after someone for doing a voluntary thing where I'm not even getting paid? It just doesn't make sense.  ILHI 09:51, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

Collapsing TablesEdit

Cactoid Summon

I've already done one for Hollander. I'll get the others done when I can.  ILHI 15:11, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
And done.  ILHI 16:32, 15 September 2008 (UTC)

Adding images and categorizing them Edit

Saw all the images. Nice work.

When you upload images, what you write in the "Summary:" box will be the text shown on the page. So if the box I were to write "[[Category:* Images]]" the image will automatically be categorised.

Once uploaded, you can edit/add categories simply by clicking "edit this page". Anything in the edit summary here when editing the page won't be added to the page.  ILHI 19:23, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

Request Edit

I shall remember to do so.  ILHI 11:25, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

How to make new boss pages Edit

Hmm. I just searched GameFAQs which had two guides, both of them didn't mention Duemion, and only one Phrekyos, which didn't even have the stats.

So, I'd suggest making the page as usual, obviously leaving the stats blank, inputting the image and information you do know. Then place "{{IncompleteTable}}" above the table. K?

BTW, the template is this one.  ILHI 15:18, 22 September 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for helping out Edit

There's a LimitEdit

Thank you for experimenting with the Final Fantasy Wiki.

Your test worked, and has been reverted or removed. Head over to the Sandsea for any other tests you want to do. In addition, please refrain from further testing on the pages of the Final Fantasy Wiki. Have a nice day.

I don't get it... And redirects are there for search purposes, and therefore should not be linked to. Unneeded redirects don't need to be there, and if they are not there cannot be linked to... When I go VFDing redirects, I correct links that redirected to them. As the redirect it self is no longer needed, if it is deleted, I shall never need to check links to it again... I cannot. Another reason the massacring of redirects is that the "List Redirects" page was limited to 1000. Deleting all the ones there meant more would end up at the bottom of the page. With out new Project:Redirect List, it does not require anyone to do so; but hey... So, the point in me doing all this is to cutdown are number of redirects, making it easier for all the people who signed up on the To-Do List to "Fix all pages that link to redirects ". I also realise Yuan has put up a "VFD all talk page redirects". So it is what is wanted. You may also have forgot that (take a look at the Redirects List) I VFDd all VFD-worthy redirects within more than the first third of the page.

So again, I don't get it. If I were an admin deleting them instead of VFDing them I wouldn't have got a test. Don't blame me for my lack of powers. An easy way around me doing this is doing so yourself.

Also actually READ test1 before you put it on someone's talk page. My work has not been reverted, and in fact worked with in the way I wanted it to. There was no testing involved.  ILHI 17:13, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

giot workEdit

I don't appreciate anyone saying someone's better than me at something. Since I don't do sketchy work and do cartoon-styled graphically computer coloured images. Plus I'm doing it as close as I can to the Tactics A2 images.

And I have done just the two, but I have the other three sketched and scanned. I didn't finish them because you hadn't been here and to do work for someone who may not even be there to appreciate it... I'll try and get them done.  ILHI 14:33, 7 October 2008 (UTC)

Help pleaseEdit

Meh, I can't get it to present like it is and collapse. But I think I know why it's not working. You probably can't code it in the <table... it self. It's not what I use anyway.  ILHI 19:47, 7 October 2008 (UTC)

[Removed for being on ILHI's talk page]

That's all I managed to achieve in my ten minutes fiddling.  ILHI 19:57, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
