TFFL LocationsEdit

I'd appreciate if you would expand a bit the TFFL location articles by saing if their a town, dungeon, tower, or sometimes blatantly a castle, because we need to also add location type categories like "Category:Towns" or "Category:Dungeons".—Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) ∙ 20:32, August 30, 2013 (UTC)

The Mystic Sword article you just disambig'd says "Harpe" may refer to...I think you might have mixed up some articles. Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle 19:50, September 5, 2013 (UTC)

FFVI ImagesEdit

I almost delete the folder they were in, good thing I check inside the folder. Since they've been collecting dust for quite some time, I decided to crop the images and upload them. 20 pages left with the remaining armor, items, and relics. Relics will be a pain in the ass since they are nearly similar to the weapon artworks. Only a few are separated. As for the concept page, someone else will have to do it. Fenrir9 (talk) 09:43, October 2, 2013 (UTC)

Yeah, I've played TAY when it came out on the PSP, and quite frankly its a terrible game in both gameplay and story. There's so many watered down versions of the original casts its not even funny. Over 2/3 of the party members are totally useless. 5 ninjas... serious? I could go on and on in more details on why I think its not worth playing honestly. As to why I did FFIV and Interlude, and not TAY. I finish playing TAY and notice that the wiki was lacking TAY info, and since I didn't felt like replaying the entire game. I didn't contribute that much info for it. As for Interlude, its a 2-3 hours or so game (even less now that I think about it). Not much in terms of info there, I think Drake and another user where working on Interlude at the same time as me.

As for missing images, I think we are missing Scrap Metal, the shuriken thingy. Did you get the mini, frog, and pig portraits? Do we have all the icons? Spells, weapons, etc? As for the relics, I still have the four large images (all relics on them), too busy playing FFIII on the PSP. We are missing Requiem song too. Fenrir9 (talk) 21:31, October 27, 2013 (UTC)

Can you get the all weapon code? If you can, could you check and see what does the Phase Cutter, Tokita Sword (Unused Weapon), and Assassin Knife (Unused Weapon) looks like when they are used during battle (Attack command). There's a good chance that we already might have the weapon image uploaded. Any chance of getting the images of the two dummied Band? Fenrir9 (talk) 21:52, October 27, 2013 (UTC)

Yeah, its called Blizzara Storm and Flame Zapper, hope they can get you the "get all Band" code or something. Fenrir9 (talk) 22:34, October 27, 2013 (UTC) {{Xenomic|time=09:16, October 28, 2013 (UTC)|text=I got screenshots of each character's Toad/Mini/Pig portraits (I think the rar that I'm going to give you also includes screenshots of some of them in-battle, but I didn't go very far on that at all. Didn't see any reason to do so). The rar also includes various Icons that I gathered up. They all need separated though. Thought I'd hand it to you to see if you could take care of that, if you have the time. I won't have any time for it myself (will be busy analyzing enemy data from TAY for AI patterns and whatnot, and come Tuesday won't even have a computer for about a week as this thing needs to be taken in to get a new driver).

I'll let someone else put transparency on the images, I'll upload them as is after cropping them. Fenrir9 (talk) 15:30, October 28, 2013 (UTC)

Add:Any chance of you getting Biggs and Wedge Toad/Pig portrait? Biggs knows Toad/Pig. Fenrir9 (talk) 15:55, October 28, 2013 (UTC)

Scrap Metal is in the original FFIV, Biggs and Wedge is right at the beginning of Ceodore's tale. Should take less than 3-5 minutes to get. Fenrir9 (talk) 04:15, October 30, 2013 (UTC)

In FFIV:TAY, you've uploaded all the spells. But I've notice that Confuse image is not on the Confuse (Ability) article's gallery. Did you forget to upload these images on their respected articles? I've also uploaded a bunch of graphics across the board involving the PSP release. Hmm, I don't think I'll do the FFIV Original since they appear to be exactly the same as the TAY portraits. Also, how did you manage to make the mini frog and mini pig portrait? You could change the title to Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection within the gallery. I'll take care of the icons and mini status this Friday or during the weekend. Fenrir9 (talk) 18:32, October 30, 2013 (UTC)

I remember you mentioned on one of the comment that the wiki is missing a PSP monster image, it was a non-development room monster. Do you still remember which monster that was? Fenrir9 (talk) 20:45, October 30, 2013 (UTC)

FFIV PSP picture of Attack, Items, Defend, Swap Rows (character with their hands in the air) for the list of FFIV Ability article. For FFIV:TAY's article; Attack, Items, Defend, Swap Rows. Fenrir9 (talk) 00:58, November 2, 2013 (UTC)

Sliding GlitchEdit

I tested it and couldn't get it to work because once you move, the "opening the menu" is somewhat disable no matter how many times I push the button. I did walk around the field without stopping while pressing hard on the triangle button, and from time to time the menu did open but not while moving around, it could have been human error on my part like unconsciously not pressing hard enough on the arrow pad. It open when Cecil was on a "perfect" square or tile on the field, not while I was moving. You could always ask other players to test it out for themselves, It could have been bad luck. Fenrir9 (talk) 13:39, October 9, 2013 (UTC)
I tested this as well, and my results were basically the same as yours. If Cecil was moving between tiles the menu wouldn't open, and the few times I was able to get it to open when he was walking was when he was situated perfectly on a tile. Again it could have been human error, but I was unable to replicate the glitch. —JustAnotherJosh talk 16:40, October 9, 2013 (UTC)

Need OpinionEdit

Both are good images, personally I would go for the "get hit" effect or ability effect hitting the target or effect on/around the target, etc. Can't say it better than that honestly. Fenrir9 (talk) 21:45, November 4, 2013 (UTC)

RE: Final Fantasy ElementsEdit

For me, Dia is pretty much the prototype of what would later become Holy. Anyways, the other "elements" listed on that page are pretty farfetched honestly. It "smells" a lot like it was fan created... and since we're talking about gamefaqs, I've seen my share of fan made stuff and theory on gamefaqs' faqs. Fenrir9 (talk) 22:00, November 22, 2013 (UTC)

Primal question Edit

Just checking with you on something. You have been a help getting Deities category populated. I have been toying with the idea of adding the page on the Primals to the category, as they appear to be referred to as gods or deities more than one in A Realm Reborn. Do they class as a form of deity, or are they just Summoned Monster-type things? --Crystal Tear (talk) 15:25, December 23, 2013 (UTC)

I don't know much about FFXIV, but that page does qualify being in the Deities category since its Japanese name is "Barbarian Gods" and as you mentioned, they are referred to as gods within the article. About the individual summoned monster, I don't know much about the game's lore, best way to approach this would either post something on the Primal talk page or on a FFXIV forum or equivalent. Fenrir9 (talk) 16:01, December 23, 2013 (UTC)

Debug Room Edit

How on earth did you find out there was a Debug Room for IV? I'm still working on the rest of the FFVII Debug Room, it's all in my sandbox, and I've found information on the FFVIII room for creation later. Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle 20:26, December 26, 2013 (UTC)

From a website on the internet. I don't remember the specific address, but google Final Fantasy IV Cutting Room. It's been on my To Do List for the longest time. Fenrir9 (talk) 20:39, December 26, 2013 (UTC)
Ah yeah, the Cutting Room Floor. That's where I got the info for VII and VIII debugs. I'm a bit concerned about the size of the VII info I have, it's at least 80000 bytes, seems far too large for an article. Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle 20:46, December 26, 2013 (UTC)
You can divide it up in subpages, like different section can have their own subpage.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 21:15, December 26, 2013 (UTC)
I never thought of that! Have you looked at it at all? Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle 21:17, December 26, 2013 (UTC)
Yeah you've put a lot of effort into that. I think each room could have its own subpage, and then use the main debug room article like as a parent?Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 21:25, December 26, 2013 (UTC)

I took a quick glance, and that is quite long. Maybe have sub-section or sub pages or something. Nevertheless, I can't wait to see the final result of all your hard work and read it all. Fenrir9 (talk) 21:26, December 26, 2013 (UTC)

Sub pages will be the way to go, I think! Thanks guys, it's not even halfway completed yet, you can tell by the italicised bits, but I will get round to it and start on the VIII debug too, you can leave that to me :) Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle 21:29, December 26, 2013 (UTC)

XII Dummied Content Edit

Hi! The friendly user Tia-Lewise redirected me here from my message at Keltainentoukokuu's talk page ( considering the dummied content/ unused text from a Cid/Balthier scene in the original Japanese version of XII. I know XII isn't listed as one of the games you write for, but I thought I'd ask anyway, if you know anything at all about where the information provided on the dummied content page might be from? The user who added it isn't on the Wikia anymore. I had a piece from the XII Ultimania Omega translated so I know the scene existed - however the piece I had translated doesn't mention at all anything about 'Judge' nor does it specifically specify that only the dialogue exists. (The translation is here: (sorry for the long links, I'm too lazy to figure out how to link)) So yeah sorry for the long post, I'd be happy if you'd let me know if you know anything at all about this :) Fangu (talk) 20:48, January 2, 2014 (UTC)

Knowing the details behind that design is still useful info for the wiki. So thanks for that!Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 02:57, January 3, 2014 (UTC)
I'm happy to contribute, thanks for adding that section to the Balthier page, and also for linking my Tumblr post so the translator is credited :D Fangu (talk) 09:42, January 15, 2014 (UTC)
I don't consider myself an expect when it comes to hacking/hex stuff/etc, as I merely do this kind of stuff for an pastime/hobby. The stuff that I put up on the wiki is info that I do find (either by myself looking in the data or on the internet), and after seeing/testing/etc for myself. I'm kinda like, if I see it, I'll believe it type of person. Now, as for FFXII. I don't known much about the game, the only thing that has been mentioned to me was enemies are equipped with equipment which I have looked into it. As for your question, I won't be able to confirm or deny since that's way out of my league of what I am capable of doing. Sadly, only the original poster will be able to tell you unless you end up finding someone who has knowledge in searching within the game's data. You could always try google or search the final fantasy wiki and with an translator (google translator for example). Fenrir9 (talk) 00:51, January 4, 2014 (UTC)
Sorry for the late response - thank you for your reply, I really appreciate it. I'll see if I can get some digging on this done. First of all I need to figure out of anyone has ever even managed to find a way to search the game data for unused content. I have a suspicion nobody has with XII - that the deleted user has picked up some loose translation of an Ultimania somewhere, a translation having concluded that 'Balthier must have been a Judge at the time the conversation took place, hence we can mention the word 'Judge'.' It's a shame the user is no longer here, but I have sources (lol, I sound like a spy) so I'll see what I can figure out. Thanks :) Fangu (talk) 09:39, January 15, 2014 (UTC)

J2e Edit

I'm curious, do you know much about the J2e translation of FFIV? I suspect some information in our translations page is wrong so I downloaded the J2e version, but it appears there are two versions and I'm unsure which one came first. Because that would be the one we use, I assume. Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle 19:52, January 9, 2014 (UTC)

I know that there's was bunch of patches made by them, I believe the latest one is version 2.something. I never play them. I think the wiki covers the latest one, not too sure how we cover a fan patch when there's already an official version for the SNES. Maybe Catuse or Drake would better know on the coverage, I remember there was some talk about the J2e coverage on the translation talk page if I recall correctly. Might want to start reading those. Fenrir9 (talk) 20:11, January 9, 2014 (UTC)
I have done. The reason I'm asking is because an anon has been relentlessly changing information on the translations regarding J2e and I just wanted to know if I had the most recent version so I can check against the edits, which seem quite different to the version I own. Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle 20:18, January 9, 2014 (UTC)

FFV iOS sprites Edit

Hi there,

I noticed you uploaded two iOS sprites for Final Fantasy V with a blank background and .png format (namely Exdeath and Gilgamesh). As I've been working on the enemy pages for Final Fantasy V, can I ask where you got these png images from? Do you have to hack a version of the game to get them? I have the Android version on my tablet (which is identical) so I probably could get some for the enemies if I knew how.--Technobliterator 17:30, January 12, 2014 (UTC)

I don't remember exactly, but I came across them while browsing google image and someone ripped a few image from the game and posted it on a forum. Fenrir9 (talk) 20:08, January 12, 2014 (UTC)
Ah, it's in a forum. Do you remember which, or which user posted them?--Technobliterator 22:03, January 12, 2014 (UTC)

I don't remember where I found them, but if your looking for sprites. I suggest asking on the Spriters Resource's forum. You'll have more luck there. Fenrir9 (talk) 00:01, January 14, 2014 (UTC)

Are you sure Seymour has a victory pose? Edit

I think the battle may just end with no one doing a victory pose, seeing the gravity of Operation Mi'ihen. Although maybe I'm wrong. Lack of victory pose is worth noting too, though.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 01:23, January 22, 2014 (UTC)

Yeah he has one, I remember 10 years ago that I hack him into my party. I'm pretty sure I still have that save. Anyways, I also remember that he has a piece of armor that looks like a anklet. Put a rough description, not good with those. Found a vid of him on youtube. Fenrir9 (talk) 01:31, January 22, 2014 (UTC)
Oh cool. I didn't remember that at all.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 01:43, January 22, 2014 (UTC)

FFXI / DQX Screenshot Edit

Hello, Fenrir9,

I left a message about the screenshot you uploaded on "Dragon_Quest_X_Kuplu_Kopo.jpg". That's actually a FFXI screenshot from the FFXIV crossover, and has nothing to do with Dragon Quest. Accordingly, I also removed it from the section of the Moogle article for Dragon Quest X, but I'm sure it would fit somewhere else (perhaps Spriggan article?). -- 07:22, January 23, 2014 (UTC)

I've moved this image now with the appropriate name. Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle 11:26, January 23, 2014 (UTC)
Info taken from here: The article mentions moogles in Dragon Quest X, right in the first few paragraphs of the article. I don't play mmorpg of any kind, but I do know the three massive Square-Enix mmorpg have a huge crossover going on currently. Both FFXI and FFXIV look the same to me, if DQX had the same art style as FF, I wouldn't be able to tell which game is which. Actually, the link I used to get the information for this wiki is not the same, this one has more detailed info compare to the other. It was probably another gaming site. Fenrir9 (talk) 12:48, January 23, 2014 (UTC)

FFVI iOS/Android Enemy/Boss sprites. Edit

When are you going to do the FFVI enemy/boss sprites from the iOS/Android version? Weedle McHairybug (talk) 12:19, January 30, 2014 (UTC)

The better way to go about this might have been, "Do you have the new version?" Not, "I assume you have the game, edit articles now." Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle 12:22, January 30, 2014 (UTC)
First of all, you don't go around demanding or throwing out orders to other wikian(s). This is a community that relies on people who volunteer their time to help improve the wiki and nobody is forcing these people to do anything if they do not wish to do so.
Now, as for your "question", I don't have the game and I'm not planing on getting it either. Most of the images that I have uploaded are from either google image and/or forums. Fenrir9 (talk) 17:11, January 31, 2014 (UTC)
This is really one of the best answers I have seen, ever, that sums up us as a wiki. Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle 17:15, January 31, 2014 (UTC)

FFIII Data? Edit

I own the PSP version of Final Fantasy III, and I'm planing on tackling the FFIII wiki's articles eventually. Also, there's no description in the "older" versions of the games. Anything below PlayStation doesn't have any descriptions for items. Nothing for you to do? Do you actually believe what you just said? There are plenty of thing to do. You better tell me that you were drunk when you wrote that. :P

The wiki is missing lots of images such as the FFIII NES spells/abilities, create weapon/ability articles, English guide books coverage, etc. You should check out the To Do List. Haven't played much Fire Emblem, except what was translated on the SNES back in the day which wasn't much. Too bad its a Nintendo exclusive title. Only own PlayStation products. Fenrir9 (talk) 02:29, March 15, 2014 (UTC)

I've check around 10 spells randomly across White/Black/Terrain/Summon for FFIII, here are a few that I have found that do not have any images: Breakga, Earthquake, and Demon Eye. We have some images, but missing a few of them. I didn't check them all, only a select few randomly. Description or flavor text? If there is text, its pretty much generic "Restore HP" on Potion for example. The wiki covers the newer translation, so the GBA/PSP/etc version triumphs over the older translation. Which Fire Emblem are you playing? Fenrir9 (talk) 15:12, March 15, 2014 (UTC)

FFT ImagesEdit

I finally manage to make that damn emulator work, so I took the opportunity to take the remaining missing images I could get my hands on. I used the world debug menu, it made everything go... a little "faster" compare to normal play. Evenso, it took more longer than I expected. It's strange because some of your images weren't uploaded on some articles, so some of them got replace. But anyways, yeah, I not planing on replacing all your images. It takes way to long. Fenrir9 (talk) 15:57, March 27, 2014 (UTC)

Break statuses Edit

Just wanted to ask you about the Break statuses in FFX (since you moved them and it looks like you've been playing FFX): can they be added to the status pages (ie Armor Break on "Deprotect (Status)", etc)? I'm leaning towards yes, although I just wanted to check before I start relinking stuff in the FFX enemy infobox immunities/resistances sections. I know that in FFX-2 the Breaks are represented by little status icons, but I don't remember if that's the case in FFX. --Shockstorm 01:22, March 30, 2014 (UTC)

Armor Break status is already on Deprotect (Status) article, I created them recently and I just recheck the Deprotect article to be sure a few moments ago. So you are good to go. Fenrir9 (talk) 01:55, March 30, 2014 (UTC)
Ok, thanks. One other thing: what should we do with Addle? It's basically the Magic Break/Deprotect status in Ivalice. Although as you can see on the article, it's also an FFXI spell that inflicts the Addle status, which is somewhat different than Magic Break/Deprotect. --Shockstorm 06:44, March 30, 2014 (UTC)
The article is quite confusing, it really needs to be cleaned up. I don't really know much about any of those games, so the question is.. is there an Addle ability that inflicts Addle status? If there is, than yes it should be separated with a disambiguation page. Fenrir9 (talk) 15:06, March 30, 2014 (UTC)
I've only played FFXII out of those games, but I believe that XII's Addle technick just reduces the magic stat - it doesn't apply a status ailment. XI and TA both seem to have abilities and statuses named Addle, while TA2 just has a status named Addle. --Shockstorm 16:08, March 30, 2014 (UTC)

I've thought about this, and I still don't know what to do. All three/four abilities do different things. Addle (FFXII) can go on one of the Break ability article, but don't know what to call the "recurring" ability that does different effects on the disambiguation page. Fenrir9 (talk) 14:33, April 3, 2014 (UTC)

XI's Addle may be similar enough to Magic Break, as it reduces magic accuracy and hinders spellcasting time. Addle in the 2 Tactics Advance games could either be linked to the games' status pages, or go on its own page. The "Charge" page might be helpful if you want to look at that ("Charge (Ability)" now only includes Charge when it's an ability that does physical damage).

Brigade ImagesEdit

I have no idea, since they are not on a page, you might as well delete them. They can always be reuploaded. But first, you could ask Kimlasca warrior, if I'm not mistaken, he plays the game. Fenrir9 (talk) 01:23, March 31, 2014 (UTC)

Need Opinion!Edit

A little bit late, but the item tag would be appropriate in this case. Fenrir9 (talk) 03:10, April 6, 2014 (UTC)

"Earthwyrm/Windgod/Waterwyrd/Firebird Crystals and Dark Orb" Not according to their Japanese names, not the same item. Fenrir9 (talk) 03:04, April 18, 2014 (UTC)

Oh my...Edit

The only thing left are a few geomancy abilities which I will be getting tomorrow during the day. I don't think there is more... well, I'll have to check around since I want to put the job ability images on the list of Final Fantasy III abilities articles. Fenrir9 (talk) 05:25, April 26, 2014 (UTC)

FFV Meteorite Edit

So I've changed all instances of "Meteor (Final Fantasy V)" to "Meteorite (Final Fantasy V)" with the bot. However, I'm confused. You mentioned all the other Meteorites on there, but only move one page; do you still want me to change instances of the rest?--Magicite-ffvi-ios Technobliterator TC 20:39, June 30, 2014 (UTC)

I moved five pages the other day, so all meteorite pages will need their links fix. Fenrir9 (talk) 16:17, July 2, 2014 (UTC)
Ah. Doesn't matter, looks like Cat fixed the rest.--Magicite-ffvi-ios Technobliterator TC 16:24, July 2, 2014 (UTC)

FF6 iOS Edit

Did you actually play it, or just find the sprites somewhere? Drake Clawfang (talk) 22:21, July 20, 2014 (UTC)

Found them through google image, most of the iOS/smartphone images that I upload for the wiki are found in google image. Fenrir9 (talk) 22:26, July 20, 2014 (UTC)

FFIV skill articles Edit

VI enemy template Edit

Do you mind explaining things to me before you just undo, y'know, hours of work from me with an ambiguous edit summary next time? What the fuck, dude?--Magicite-ffvi-ios Technobliterator TC 14:59, August 6, 2014 (UTC)

Don't you what the fuck me. An keep that trashy talking off my talk page! Hours of work, do you know how many hours of work I put in on all the FFVI enemy articles so that the wikia could be up-to-date on the game's information, including both translations of abilities/status (playing both games, downloading save states, learning hex editing, etc) including typing it on the wiki, expanding the old template for new sections, working on all the bestiary and correcting all the wrong or misinformation that was present on them. Yeah, that's more work than you can imaging, more work than what you put in on this template of yours. Also, your conversion didn't even include the SNES/PS1 versions and only included the GBA/mobile versions, so what the hell is that about? So the wikia should ignore the SNES/PS1 and not document it or what? The wikia covers everything, including older translations whether you like it or not. I still know people that prefers the older translation to the newer one, yes those players exist. For the sake of this, I prefer the newer one.
I reverted all the pages because I deemed it useless, the lack of SNES/PS1 areas and omitted information (intentional or not). There are four Glutturns in the game, why did I only see 1 or was it 2? Only 2 tentacles after conversion, but there's 4 within the game. I check every single article that was change, and they were like this. On top of that, lots of poorly made conversion as well, lots of information wasn't put into the new template (immunity, location, etc) was left blank or "None". Oh, before you think I'm going high and mighty on you or anyone else here on the wikia. You're deadly mistaken. I work on this wikia because I enjoy it, some information might not appealing to you or other users, but I do know that it appeals to other users (real life and/or internet life). Fenrir9 (talk) 15:53, August 6, 2014 (UTC)
I will "what the fuck" you when you decide to be an ass about it. Okay, you put hours of work in too, that was not my point. "Yeah, that's more work than you can imaging, more work than what you put in on this template of yours." Wow.
"I revert all the pages because I deemed it useless"? "Because I deemed it useless"? So you're so arrogant that your opinion matters so much more than mine? What the heck?
"Also, your conversion didn't even include the SNES/PS1 versions and only included the GBA/mobile versions, so what the hell is that about? So the wikia should ignore the SNES/PS1 and not document it or what?" What? My conversion included everything. Did you check the history page? Obviously not, since it's so much easier to just revert. I did not drop any translation, what are you even talking about? What is wrong with this?
"lots of poorly made conversion as well, lots of information wasn't put into the new template (immunity, location, etc) was left blank or "None""? Hey, I know this concept might be alien to you, but maybe you can, I dunno, FIX THE NEW TEMPLATE instead? Is it so hard to do that, instead of a mindless revert? I saw two Glutturns. Fine, there's a problem. But the information is still there in the template and is not even far off fixing.
And you have ignored my biggest problem. Why did you not EXPLAIN this to me with EXAMPLES before? If you had done that, I would not have come to your talk page, I would not have "what the fuck"'d you, I would not have added trashy talk to your page. Is it REALLY so hard to explain that?
I work on this wikia because I enjoy it too, what is your point? Again. I DID NOT REMOVE ANY OF THE TRANSLATIONS. And if I did, then the information is still there, SO THE THING CAN BE FIXED.--Magicite-ffvi-ios Technobliterator TC 16:07, August 6, 2014 (UTC)
You're the asshole here with your name calling! I do not tolerate trashy talk. If you can't be civil about this, then stop posting here. You're the one who came here arrogantly like some big shot and left by swearing. Posting about how much time you put into it, well I return the favor since you seem so proud to shove that in my face. Template (which is missing stuff plus lots of errors) is useless since the old template has all the correct info. Here are the massive stuff that is wrong: Oh yeah, you recently made changes to the template, of course some stuff were fix. Blind -> Darkness, Magitek -> MagiTek, Invisible -> Clear, Death -> Fatal, Doom -> Condemned, Critical -> Near Fatal, Silence -> Mute, Sleep -> Psyche, Protect -> Safe, Meteor Strike -> Suplex, Libra -> Scan. Omitted Rage, Sketch, Location, inherent statuses entries (not on Kefka). That page you link, Kefka should be immune to Control and the above problems fore mentioned plus some more that was fix.
You fully knew that I posted on another user JDed about the template and did nothing to further ask me or any other wikians about potential information/missing information/etc. I was busy dealing with stuff on different pages, and I don't stalk pages every second by refreshing it to see if new post is present. You knew I was interested in this template, don't play dumb. If I didn't give a damn, I wouldn't of posted on the talk page in the first place where you posted. Does it cost money to post something along the lines of "anything else missing/wrong since you showed interest in this template before it goes live" on any user's talk page or a simple forum post with a date limit before it becomes live? Nope, nothing on my talk page and didn't see anything about enemy template in the forum either. Check the History page, yep all of them actually. I mention that in my post in this very topic. Lots of errors, missing information, omitted entries, and missing enemies. Not quite easy to revert actually, took around 45 minutes to check and compare same page on all those pages with new template, 30 minutes to revert them. Not worth keeping those butchered pages, as I said. Template is not ready, this isn't that hard to understand. Fixing those infobox are not my forte, I tried and tried last night for 10 minutes (approximately) and it just broke the whole thing on the preview regardless of what I did. Fenrir9 (talk) 19:41, August 6, 2014 (UTC)
Ugh. Much as I want to, I'm not going to respond to most of the stuff you said simply because I can't do it without bold text and caps rage at you which you've said you don't respond to. I'm going to be the bigger man and be as civil as I can be instead of more knee jerk reacting.
Right, so there's translation differences. I can, and will, fix those. As JBed has told you, we can sort those out with switches based on the version parameter. It's fine. What other missing information, errors and enemies are there? Because some of it might relate to missing information on the original code, and conversion cannot fix what was wrong with the original anyway.
If fixing is not your forte, then why not tell me or JBed, in our case it IS our forte, instead of just undoing it? If you repeatedly tried and failed, then sure, we've all been there, but then the problem is the input on the template itself, not the pages, resulting in a less than ideal output. If the input on the pages is fine, then why do the pages get the revert, when in a situation where the template works, the output can be fine after a couple of fixes? I don't think it's a good idea, even as an immediate or temporary solution, because it now means that I have to undo everything as soon as it's fine. Not that that's a problem for me, I don't mind too much when I think about it.
I guess I should thank you for taking interest and I should mention that, while I have been really angry, you are one of the users I have the most respect for on this wiki, though I doubt that's a mutual feeling, but it doesn't matter. I was annoyed that you chose to revert it instead of fixing it, and I was annoyed that you didn't tell me, the one responsible for conversion, anything beforehand.
Anyway, my reaction was knee jerk and I should apologize for it, but I really did lose my patience.--Magicite-ffvi-ios Technobliterator TC 20:09, August 6, 2014 (UTC)
Edit: Versions done. We're sorting out the tabs for more than two enemies. Anything else? Once I'm satisfied there's nothing wrong, I'll resume conversion and undo.--Magicite-ffvi-ios Technobliterator TC 20:22, August 6, 2014 (UTC)

THE EDIT WARRING STOPS. Techno, if your template is fixed then go ahead and change it back. Fenrir, if there's still problems, point them out and let him fix them and do not revert. If you do you will be blocked. And both of you stop cursing and be civil. Fenrir, if there's a problem then in the future say so in the edit summary and do not say nonsense like "I deem it useless". Techno, ask politely next turn, saying straight "what the fuck" is not the way go begin a conversation. Drake Clawfang (talk) 02:01, August 7, 2014 (UTC)

I lose interest in this topic, and I have no strength and/or interest in continuing it. Forgot these: Death -> Dispatch (Weapon description) or Death -> Fatal (Relic description), Holy -> Pearl.
I hold no ill will against any wikians, regardless of who they are or might be, but what I do not like is a post like the first in this topic. This topic (before/after it existed) did and does not affect what I thought/think about you before/after its creation, if you must know I think very highly of you and that didn't change one bit. I do remember mentioned it to JBed.
@Drake: To clarify what I wrote in the summary: "Template not ready to go live, massive omitted information and lots of errors created due to poor conversion."
That's it from me and this topic, I'm no longer continuing it or planing on replying regardless of who post in it and regardless of the content being good or bad. Please accept my sincere apology, sorry for the trouble that I have cause. Fenrir9 (talk) 13:28, August 7, 2014 (UTC)
It's alright man, we all make mistakes (especially me :D). I was in the wrong as well. Anyways, I think I've fixed Holy -> Pearl and Death? I could try again. Anyways, I'll bugger off your talk page and leave you alone. Have fun editing, and if you ever regain interest in the topic, then you know who to speak too. Obviously, you're not going to reply to this message, but I thought I'd just say this to let you know your apology is accepted and to again declare mine.--Magicite-ffvi-ios Technobliterator TC 14:12, August 7, 2014 (UTC)

Welcome BackEdit

I've been doing alright, no complains from me. I decided to start and finish that old age article I wanted to create all those years ago when I found the Ivalician language folder on my hard drive. I though I lose it. Fenrir9 (talk) 23:20, January 1, 2015 (UTC)

There should be artwork for those, well, they got to have it somewhere. I guess they haven't release everything to the public yet. Are you playing both Airborne Brigade and Record Keeper? Hmm, with PCSX2... I always used the Print Screenshot button on the keyboard and paste it in paint, etc. Fenrir9 (talk) 21:43, January 13, 2015 (UTC)

FFII HelpEdit

P.chraca (talk) 01:19, January 6, 2015 (UTC) I don't know if you could help me with this, but when i was playing FF2 origins, I tryed unlocking the Masamune on the Toad minnigame. I got my Toad spell at level 16, (took e 3 hours) play the minnigame, won with no mistakes and all I got were two items (I forgot the name of the item but) and 8000 gil ( you get 40000 gil on the normal minnigame. Why did it gave me less?) Did i miss something or it only works on the GBA and PSP versions? (i looked online and doesn't said which version it has to be on) Also if you don't know, ask other users on the wikia.

I've never played FFII, sadly I can't help you there. You can try the Final Fantasy wikia's own forum label "The Dollet Hotel" which is a place to ask for help. Other than that, there's also the gamefaqs' FFII boards. I hope you end up finding the answer you seek. Fenrir9 (talk) 04:43, January 7, 2015 (UTC)

Disambigs PagesEdit

I'm around, so I don't mind doing a little correction here and there. I do know that it takes quite some time making those disambigs pages. Yeah, I agree with you there. Personally they should all get articles as long as they have made enough appearances. Aren't we suppose to be an encyclopedia website... Fenrir9 (talk) 06:51, January 30, 2015 (UTC)

We already have some weapons that are nothing special, but have "fancy" names and yet they are allowed to have a full article on them. It doesn't make any sense honesty. Let's take Mythril Sword, in FFIV, it deals extra damage to Ghouls and Spirits (Its one or the other). In FFV, in enables Spellblade. In FFVI, it enables Runic and Bushido. Biggs and Wedge's weapon... etc. "The reasons of "They're not unique enough" and "There wouldn't be much to say that's not already on their equipment list pages" just doesn't float with me at all." Er... the same can be said for any weapons that already have pages, so that kind of thinking just doesn't make any sense at all. Fenrir9 (talk) 23:20, January 30, 2015 (UTC)

Here's one of the weapons in question, Francisca. Nothing special to see there if you read through the article. Anyways, I don't like that we link everything to the Mythril Equipment page. Those pages are just awful. Bloated with too must information. Personally, those pages should be transformed into our weapon type style pages. Just list the Mythril equipment and link to their appropriate list of weapon pages. If you want to go ahead, you can do a test run. I'm supporting it, maybe on sandbox? Fenrir9 (talk) 23:48, January 30, 2015 (UTC)

Yep, lots of the same weapons have the same names in the Japanese version, but the English version have multiple names for the same weapon. I remember one of the translators mentioning that they have a database sothey can keep the same recurring names... well what he said was pure BS. Also, don't forget the redirect to those disambigs pages for the alternate names. Fenrir9 (talk) 06:56, February 2, 2015 (UTC)

I'll keep a lookout for them as well, I've been finding some redirects that leads to older pages that no longer have said information. Stuff we've separates/remove from articles dues to various reasons. Fenrir9 (talk) 07:18, February 2, 2015 (UTC)

FFVI and sandbox queries Edit

Hey there, I've been doing some work on FFVI pages again, this time for adding drop rates and morph rates on all (still not sure completely how morph rates work other than "25% each", or at least, not sure how it works for morphs where there's less than 4), and I remembered your sandbox with enemy formations. I was just wondering if you had any plans for that? Because the next time I fix up morph and drop rates, I might be able to also add enemy formation data like this along with that (or you could, ofc, so I don't steal your thunder :p) and I was just wondering if you wanted to do anything with that. I can also get the formation data from my ROM emulator too. Will the stuff in your sandbox be a "List of Final Fantasy VI Enemy Formations" page or something?--Magicite-ffvi-ios Technobliterator TC 17:11, January 30, 2015 (UTC)

I know the worst morph rate is 0%, than after that its 12.5%, etc. So its not divided by 25% across all four items. Bosses are all set to 0%. As for the formation on my sandbox, it's a project that I started but don't have the time to finish sadly. Still missing the GBA data at the end. If I were to place it on the main space, I would have done it like the FFIX enemy pages. If you are willing to continue it, finish it, and place it on the main space. You are more than welcome to take the data I collected so far. Speaking of the FFVI enemy template, would it be possible to share the Control section with the Confuse status (new section right bellow Control). The confuse script takes the Control abilities when enemies are confused. I tried putting an example for you here, but I can't make it work. So I hope you understand what I mean. Fenrir9 (talk) 23:41, January 30, 2015 (UTC)
Hmm. Are the control and confuse immunities the same as well as the abilities? I could probably just make it so "confuse = Immune" automatically adds immunity to control, and so "control = Attack, Firaga" etc automatically shows the same for confuse. The tricky thing with morphs is that the ROM editor I use just shows morph miss rates, instead of hit rates, which means it's even harder to work out what the morph rate for each individual item is. I'd love to continue the Enemy Formations stuff for you, I'd just need a GBA ROM editor to do it. Or there's this...hmm...--Magicite-ffvi-ios Technobliterator TC 10:47, January 31, 2015 (UTC)
The link I'm posting explains metamorphose, section "Further Regarding the Esper": Nope, Confuse immunity is separate from Control immunity. Example of what I'm trying to say:
Control Attack, Hit (rowspan="2")
Confuse Attack, Hit (rowspan="2")

Both "Attack, Hit" should only appear once in a single large square for both Control and Confuse entries, similar to the rowspan="2" when used in tables. Fenrir9 (talk) 11:27, January 31, 2015 (UTC)

Done.--Magicite-ffvi-ios Technobliterator TC 11:35, January 31, 2015 (UTC)

Alright, I've found out more about morphs and I'm going to update the template with those in a bit, and I've also found an FFVI GBA rom editor, but it doesn't have the monster formations yet. I've asked the developer if they're planning on introducing monster formations any time in the future, maybe then we can finish it when that happens. I had a question though, not sure if you know: from looking, I found the enemies have a flag called "no physical harm". Does this mean they don't take any physical damage? Or any damage at all? I originally had a "damage = Immune" in the template that was used for the Dragon's Den version of Red Dragon in GBA/iOS with immunity to all damage, which I could change to something else if it's true for more enemies.--Magicite-ffvi-ios Technobliterator TC 21:38, January 31, 2015 (UTC)

The "no physical harm" is associated with the enemy's Special or Special Attack. This is used for when an enemy either inflicts or grants a status to a target. Example, Ninja's special; Stealth grant Invisible to a single target. So it shouldn't damage the target because that just doesn't make any sense. It's like the spell Protect should damage one target and grant the Protect status. There is only one status in the game and it's called Invincible which nullifies all physical and magical damage, used only twice by Guardian if I recall correctly. Any dmg should be change to Invincible since the status exist. I've check the Guardian's page and found a few mistakes. The Steal % bit for SNES/PS should be Sneak Ring instead of Thief's Bracer. SNES/PS entried, Sap should be Seizure. That's all. Fenrir9 (talk) 03:04, February 1, 2015 (UTC)
Alright, thanks, done that. I'm going to take a closer look at formation data for GBA, we're just missing introduction and AP awarded though, right? I could probably just find those manually by playing the game though, honestly. Also, if you have any input over here, I'd appreciate it. ^.^--Magicite-ffvi-ios Technobliterator TC 14:16, February 1, 2015 (UTC)
Update: JBed has found this thing with monster formations. So maybe data can be updated with that.--Magicite-ffvi-ios Technobliterator TC 17:47, February 1, 2015 (UTC)
Xenomic gave me this link a while back so you can fight what you want and save time, essentially eliminating random encounters by using cheat codes; Cntrl + F Battle Encounters on that page. Only thing that'll be hard to document would be if said formation can pincer, back attack, etc the party. This information was documented for the SNES formation, but not the GBA ones. We'll need a hacker, editor or something for that info. JBed's link will be good to cross reference what I already have gathered. Especially that formation numbers. I wouldn't be surprise if I made a mistake on my end, because I clearly remember doing some mistakes when typing it up. Fenrir9 (talk) 07:06, February 2, 2015 (UTC)
The link gives the battle types. It gives the ID (in dec and hex), the AP, the battle types (canNormal, canBack, canPincer, canSide), and also the enemies in the six enemy slots -- which to its left has whether the enemy is in play at the start of battle or not (like Merchant does, Birthday Suit does not). 18:05, February 2, 2015 (UTC)

Ah, well if all the information is all there. Than we've got all the information needed. I just open the file and browse thru it quickly without reading the top. One last thing Technobliterator, we should use the real name for Ragnarok's Morph on the enemy template; Metamorph (SNES/PS) and Metamorphose (GBA/iOS). Fenrir9 (talk) 04:46, February 3, 2015 (UTC)

Replied on the template's talk page with example. Also, User:Technobliterator/Workplace/VI Formations :) I'll copypaste this to a mainspace page once done, then make a template and add to each enemy page. You're more than welcome to help me out and do a few more of those. Also, I got your request for an EasyType tab added on FFIV; we're going to remove the J2e tab (Forum:Fan Translations) and I want to add formations for IV as well, so I will do all that after we're finished on FFVI formation data.--Magicite-ffvi-ios Technobliterator TC 20:59, February 6, 2015 (UTC)

It looks great, I have no complains. Great work! Just one minor error for entry 056, enemy name and side encounter should be swapped. I'll would help you guys out, but I'm planing on adding the Japanese name for Easy Type weapons/armor/items/etc on the Translation page. If J2e is removed, that would ease my Easy Type column for the translation page. I'll simply just rename J2e to Easy Type. If I remember correctly, I believe they are all documented on the Japanese wikia. Fenrir9 (talk) 03:21, February 7, 2015 (UTC)
Cheers! I'm nearly finished now :D Or at least, I'm almost 2/3 of the way through checking each one and reformatting. A couple questions though, are you sure the Kefka enemy is called "Kefka (Bridge)"? The source I'm using for those encounters doesn't list any text. Also, I corrected "Red Ifrit" to "Unnamed esper" (that would be wrong because he's not red in the iOS version :p). Anyways, any feedback/help you can offer would be appreciated. :)--Magicite-ffvi-ios Technobliterator TC 22:58, February 9, 2015 (UTC)
Hmm... I put that there for myself as a marker. Honestly, I don't remember the reason why. Probably because it was associated with the bridge event. I do know that the list wasn't going to be the final product. I remember that it took quite some time myself typing all those up. It's nearing the end. The only errors are 392 and 393, just need to swap Enemies and Side entries. Fenrir9 (talk) 16:50, February 10, 2015 (UTC)
Phew...nearly finished. Just a couple questions though. What is the introduction column for ("sides, individual" etc)? And should I rename "Kefka (Bridge)" if it was just a thing for you to use? I'm also wondering if I can use ticks and crosses for flags like "cannot flee", "hides start messages", or maybe a "notes column" to put it all in one row...hmm.
Once this is all done I'll copypaste to a mainspace page but credit you in edit summary, and then add to each enemy page. Hopefully work on enemy formations for FFIV, too.--Magicite-ffvi-ios Technobliterator TC 10:23, February 11, 2015 (UTC)

For the bridge, just go with Kefka. The introduction column is for how monsters are introduced at the start of battle. When a battle starts, enemies are introduced in numerous ways before the fighting begins; some come out of the water, while others drop down from the sky, etc. You could test a few entries for your new ticks and crosses and compare both. Fenrir9 (talk) 10:35, February 11, 2015 (UTC)

Finished! :D Or mostly at least. The GBA rom editor I use doesn't let me find formation data so I'm going by what the link says (and it doesn't include introduction, sadly). I'd like to double check this once the ROM editor is updated, the author said he'd add next update but gave no release date. Any help/feedback would be appreciated. :) I'll go about getting templates ready and stuff to add to enemy pages but the GBA ones won't be 100% complete. btw, I found out what Kefka (Bridge) was, there's a special events flag called "bridge" in the formations.--Magicite-ffvi-ios Technobliterator TC 23:09, February 12, 2015 (UTC)
Few errors, GBA bosses would have the boss theme. I don't remember Omega Weapon or Kaiser Dragon's boss theme. Youtube could help you out on this, they do have all boss battles. The intros for the non-boss battles would be the same for the regular encounters I assume. Boss intros could be the same as their palette swaps. Again, youtubing this could confirm it... or playing/replaying the Dragons' Den. Youtube would be faster. Two AP entries are missing, are they missing on the Japanese txt file? These can easily be gotten by youtubing it too for entry 635 and 621. Starting from entry 577, encounter flags are one collumn wrong. It starts with Back and ends with introduction flag. Hard to explain it, but I think you'll understand when seeing it. Entry 580 and 589 has a separation section, don't know why. Kefka's name error found in "note" or extra info; 485, 388 (bad link for Leo on this entry). Enemies that appear later during the battle should probably be in italic instead of brackets, entry 456 made me come to this conclusion. It would look a little easier on the eyes. Other than that, it looks great! Good job. I would make these changes myself, but I want to finish the Easy Type translations today. Fenrir9 (talk) 14:20, February 13, 2015 (UTC)
A lot of those errors were sloppiness on my part. >.< Thanks, I've fixed the errors. I'm suspicious of the AP for all GBA encounters on the Japanese text file (they're either 31 or 0???), but those can be fixed when the ROM editor is updated with enemy formations. Kaiser Dragon and Omega Weapon use Battle to the Death. Anyway, there ya go. Next job, adding to enemy pages, and probably to location pages as well. I would love to know if there was a way to find out which exact counters are used in which locations, but I mean, the location pages already have the encounters if not the encounter'll just be a problem of knowing which IDs are used in the encounters and which are dummied since some encounters are duplicates. But I guess youtubing and matching the AP with the correct one could help. Lemme know if there's anything else that needs doing and I'll get it done, thanks for all your help on this project, I really appreciate it. :)--Magicite-ffvi-ios Technobliterator TC 16:37, February 13, 2015 (UTC)

Pretty much finished, nothing else I see that's missing. Yeah, youtube is pretty much how I got some late game information instead of playing the entire game just to check said information. Glad some people made those let's play vids. No problem, was planing on doing it but yours turned out way better than what I would of made. Fenrir9 (talk) 17:03, February 13, 2015 (UTC)

Speaking that editor, under "Form", check the "Packs". Is this what you are searching for? Fenrir9 (talk) 17:05, February 13, 2015 (UTC)
Sorry, missed this. Nope, my GBA rom editor doesn't have that. Only options are Monster, Graphic, Item, Spell and Actor editors.--Magicite-ffvi-ios Technobliterator TC 00:15, February 17, 2015 (UTC)

FF4 Easy Type Edit

I confess I didn't fully understand your request in the forum, but if you have something in mind for the FF4 templates in regards to replacing the J2e coverage with Easy Type, I'm fine with it. Just don't break anything. :p Drake Clawfang (talk) 20:08, February 8, 2015 (UTC)

Well, I just finish the Characters section. Nothing broken yet lol. I'm done for today, if you can make it any better, now is the chance. I'll be more or less copying the Character section. Fenrir9 (talk) 20:21, February 8, 2015 (UTC)
To clarify, are there any differences between the official NA release and the Easytype version? There seems to be some confusion among others in that. Drake Clawfang (talk) 20:43, February 8, 2015 (UTC)
Easy Type uses simpler Japanese names that are easier to read for Japanese players, or what it looks like; It gets straight to the point for some weapons. It's pretty hard to actually explain since I don't really know how to explain it myself, so here are some examples of these changes. Hell Claws was rename to Poison Claws and Faerie Claws to Tempting Claws. Most of the changes pretty much tells what the weapon does for the most parts. But some do not, Artemis's Bow was renamed to Goddess's Bow. Kunai renamed to Katana. Yeah, beside the name change for Kunai. It still has the same stats as the original. Some weapon's stats were increased, altered, or outright change. Two "new" weapons were introduced, the Coral Sword (made from the Ancient Sword) and Piglet Sword (made from the Mythril Sword), the later is not metallic... making a cave very easy to get through. Now, "complex" items/commands were removed to simplify the battle system by removing "useless" commands like Salve, Recall, etc. They left the Darkness command on Cecil, so he can use it. More healing items are dropped from enemies, meaning that the player get less "crap" from them and more valuable/useful stuff out of it. Summon Books (free summons - 0MP - can see summons before recruiting them) drops from various monsters. Golden Apple and Silver Apple are dropped from monsters as well. Fenrir9 (talk) 22:13, February 8, 2015 (UTC)
Hm, okay. What we're looking at doing is, because it was pointed out that the Japanese SNES and NA releases were changed in some ways for monster drops, the enemy templates may acquire sub-tabs for the two versions, if there are differences. Perhaps the EasyType version can do in there too? Drake Clawfang (talk) 22:24, February 8, 2015 (UTC)

Just check the enemy abilities a few moments ago, some of the enemy abilities were renamed and I'll be using the literal translation for them. There is about half of the enemies that were renamed too. This is something that I forgot to mentioned yesterday. Fenrir9 (talk) 17:27, February 9, 2015 (UTC)

Eight Legendary Dragons Edit

Ohhh, whoops. I swear to god I had the bot do that. I put the commands in and the bot said it was done, I normally check Special:Whatlinkshere after the bot is finished but then links in navboxes break that until the servers refresh later. Anyway, thanks for relinking that, and sorry that you had to do that >.<--Magicite-ffvi-ios Technobliterator TC 00:12, February 17, 2015 (UTC)

You should check or redo all five of them just to be sure it worked since one of the five didn't work... or check only once manually to other four articles in question if the redirect were corrected. Actually, I saw some minor errors within said articles that even a bot couldn't have fix lol. So, we got something out of that. Fenrir9 (talk) 14:45, February 17, 2015 (UTC)

Willing to help?Edit

I'm pretty occupied on my end, still have to do some stuff for the wiki that I want to take care of since I keep putting things off. So I'll be focusing on those before taking extra stuff. Fenrir9 (talk) 20:03, February 23, 2015 (UTC)

Man, I am so envious that you've got a working DS emulator. One is very slow for me, even with the music turned off while the other make the text overlap on itself and eventually makes the game... er... indistinguishable after a certain amount of text is diplayed. Yeah, can't really take screenshots for the wiki with that one. Anyways, those are stuff that would be needed to be documented on the wiki for sure. Are there a lot of removed stuff? Any more songs? If those "items" have an effect within battle, and there are "new" songs that didn't make the cut. If there are, we'll need to take a screenshot of those abilities in action and add them to the Song article for FFIII, the parent page of those song's articles, and mention it on the Dummy Content article. If you want them to be authentic, have a Bard use the song item, not necessary, but would look nice or realistic. Man, just notice the link you posted here, well I don't feel like re-editing what I written above. I'll comment on the talk page as well. Fenrir9 (talk) 17:25, February 28, 2015 (UTC)

The only thing that I could seen not used in FFIV would be the Assassin Dagger and Hand Axe. If you do indeed make it work, screenshots of those weapon's model would be great since the wiki is only missing these two weapons if I am not mistaken along with their attributes. That's pretty much it. Doubt there's anything else dummied, but worth the confirmation nevertheless. No$GBA, that's the crappy one. Desmume rings a bell, might be the second one that I used back in the day. It was slow for me. Add: Also, is the DS weapon/armor description any different from the PSP description already present on the 3D weapon/armor articles? That is something to look into if you can get that code working. Fenrir9 (talk) 04:26, March 1, 2015 (UTC)

Etymology Edit

Hey there, great work on the Etymology, but I should point you to Project:Etymology, because we have a new system for that. Instead of what you're doing, you would put the etymology on a page in Etymology with that namespace and transclude it with the {{etym}} template on other pages. So if you wanted to create an etymology for "Cooldown", you would make the page at "Etymology:Cooldown", and then when adding to pages, just add {{etym|Cooldown}}. This way, we can add the Cooldown etymology across several pages that need it, and any edit to one Cooldown etymology section will change all of them.

Oh, and btw, if you get the chance, can you have a look at List of Final Fantasy VI Stats? Was wondering if you'd be interested in it. I'm thinking of creating pages like that for all games (see Forum:List of Stats Pages) and possibly mechanics listing pages too.--Magicite-ffvi-ios Technobliterator TC 21:41, March 19, 2015 (UTC)

Oh man, how much I'd wish that I knew about the new system sooner. I'll do this from now on. For the stats article, I'll look over it in roughly 2 hours from now. Fenrir9 (talk) 00:25, March 20, 2015 (UTC)

Heads upEdit

We don't need etymology sections for common phrases in English. Fëasindë Peth 02:22, March 21, 2015 (UTC)

I didn't check the translation articles, but if that's the case, than Beam should be a disambiguation page with the non-Japanese Beams. The current Beam article should be moved to a recurring Beam article. Fenrir9 (talk) 05:49, March 22, 2015 (UTC)

Now that I think about it, Beam (Ability) for the recurring article wouldn't work because the other abilities are also abilities themselves... yeah, these tags really needs to be look over because I have no idea what the recurring article should be tag. Fenrir9 (talk) 06:12, March 22, 2015 (UTC)

Reminder: English language phrases need no etymology unless obscureEdit

Also, “Red Dragon” and “While Dragon” are hardly beasts that are unique to the British Isles, so we cannot claim that their usage as standards is what the writers intended for every single incarnation throughout the series Fëasindë Peth 19:48, March 24, 2015 (UTC)

Yes, that's the one. Fenrir9 (talk) 03:41, March 25, 2015 (UTC)
FFA's enemy ability gallery was integrated within the list of enemy abilities article. As for the Legend series, I'll get to it this week. Fenrir9 (talk) 18:42, March 31, 2015 (UTC)

Stats Edit

Thanks for the help with Stats, it's really appreciated. ^.^ A few favours to ask, if you get the time; can you take a look at Attack Power and see if I've missed anything? Also, do you know how the stats work in the SNES games? I only know how they're calculated in FFVI, not the others.--Magicite-ffvi-ios Technobliterator TC 23:05, April 5, 2015 (UTC)

I'll looks over the articles in a few hours, but I'm sure everything is great. If I see something missing, I'll add it in. I don't know much about FFV sadly, I'll try to find something for FFIV. I remember seeing something for it somewhere. For the article name, shouldn't Attack Power be Attack (Stat)? The last time I've seen Attack Power was in the SNES era under Battle Power. I know the newest translations they went with Attack. The same for Magic Power, it should also be Magic (Stat) as well. I believe there was a discussion about this somewhere on the wiki. FFVI Escape Success and Level Averaging Edit

Hey, as you may or may not have seen, I'm working on FFVI stats again to try and add character details in. I'm planning on adding the HP and MP growth of each character eventually, but before that I want to add the base stats for each character. I wanted to know if you know what the "level averaging" and "escape success" stats mean? Although they're unlisted in the game menus, we should still add them to the page.--Magicite-ffvi-ios Technobliterator TC 20:21, May 6, 2015 (UTC)

The Escape Success is fully describe/explain in the Escape/Flee section on the wiki. I remember seeing said info for the wiki. It's a hidden stat, so yeah it would need to be on the list of stat article. I don't remember if I've seen the info on the Level article for level averaging, but I do remember that I wanted to create a level averaging article at one point for the wiki since "level averaging" reoccurs in quite a few games such as FFIV, FFT series, and many more. Anyways, here is the info for level averaging: When a character joins the party, their level is calculated based on the average level of the current party members. The level for each characters are also recalculated at other points in the game. The new character's level equals the average of all current member's level and rounded down. If a character is joining in the World of Ruin, then the new level will never be lower than their old level. If a character is joining for the first time, then a value is added to the average party level to determine their new level. Fenrir9 (talk) 11:35, May 7, 2015 (UTC)
Ah, thanks. Do you think this info should go in the LV section on the List of Stats page, then?--Magicite-ffvi-ios Technobliterator TC 14:58, May 7, 2015 (UTC)
It should be mentioned within the LV section because it affects the LV stat and affects gameplay for some people (speedruns, min-maxing, etc). All characters, including party members and guest are affected by level averaging. Fenrir9 (talk) 15:57, May 7, 2015 (UTC)

Okay, sorry to bother you again, but I'm confused by one thing, do you know how HP/MP/EXP evolution works in this game? When I got the "actors evolution" thing for HP/MP/EXP, I managed to put together a stats table you can see here, but it didn't give me a varying one for different characters. My question now is whether it's just that the characters all have some variation of what's on that table? Or if it's just that I'm doing it wrong and not knowing how to get the values for the other characters? Hope that makes sense...?_?--Magicite-ffvi-ios Technobliterator TC 18:45, May 9, 2015 (UTC)

I never bothered learning how character's gained levels and all that stuff, so I can't help you there. But if I have to take a guess, it probably has something to do with the HP/MP gain since all character's have different values. So the "growth" could be statistic/never changing. What is different is each character's personal values (HP Gain/MP Gain). That's all I can come up with. Fenrir9 (talk) 19:01, May 9, 2015 (UTC)

FFVI Images ReduxEdit

Nope, haven't been playing Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. I just happen to come across some info on it while browsing the internet and the wiki didn't have it so I wrote it for the wiki. But I did recently finish Bahamut Lagoon, which is quite a fantastic RPG. As for the images, I kind of gave up on Airborne Brigade and remotely not interested in Record Keeper. These two are just never-ending games, and I am not a fan of never-ending games. I've never played the iOS version of FFVI, so can't really help you there. Fenrir9 (talk) 14:11, June 7, 2015 (UTC)

Bahamut Lagoon was completely translated quite a while back, I believe since 2002. Bahamut Lagoon is pretty much Squaresoft's Fire Emblem with a Final Fantasy twist added to it. I'll check out the newly articles you've made. Fenrir9 (talk) 16:54, June 8, 2015 (UTC)

Redirect Bot Edit

Hey, just letting you know, I just added a new script for Intangir Bot which can automatically create links to {{A}} sections on a page. I tested it with my own account first (so mistakes would show up in recentchanges), but I can confirm it is now working. So if you ever need to make lots of redirects again, just post on Intangir Bot's request page.--Magicite-ffvi-ios Technobliterator TC 20:26, July 1, 2015 (UTC)

Thank for the heads up, I'll definitely take note of this. Fenrir9 (talk) 22:28, July 1, 2015 (UTC)

New Project? Edit

I finally manage to find a DS emulator that works, its a little slow, but not that slow like those other ones I've used before. Yep, I'm currently playing the game right now and getting all the icons from the game and a few other screenshots here and there. I can't really comment on if its good or not yet, still at the beginning of the game. The game is pretty much my summer project so to speak. Going to fix up a few articles while I'm playing the game. Fenrir9 (talk) 23:22, July 4, 2015 (UTC)

Nice to see your playing 4 Heroes. I thought the game was great. :) Unexpectedly hard seeing that it looks like "baby's first FF" by its style.Keltainentoukokuu (talk)

Yeah, the artwork does make it look like that, doesn't it. It's a little hard, I'll admit to that but the story is not doing it for me yet. It's pretty generic at the moment (got around 6-7 crowns at the moment), so I hope it gets a little better story wise. Oh, I don't really know much about 4 Heroes, so its not like I read all the story section yet. Well, I haven't read any of our location article yet. I haven't bothers with those yet. Kingdom Hearts, it was either me playing this game or starting the Kingdom Heart series. I already own the Kingdom Heart 1.5 HD and waiting for Kingdom Heart 2.5 HD to arrive in the mail. I guess I'll start them after finishing 4 Heroes. Don't really know much about those games either, but looking forward to playing them. Fenrir9 (talk) 13:29, July 5, 2015 (UTC)
4 Heroes is like a re-imagination of FF1 so the story is pretty similar/same. It's pretty lighthearted but I enjoyed it.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 16:55, July 5, 2015 (UTC)
It actually reminds me of a lot of FFIII, with all the transformations and all in order to access certain areas. Fenrir9 (talk) 18:10, July 5, 2015 (UTC)

Sorry, I pretty much have my hands full with the Final Fantasy: 4 Heroes of Light articles. Fenrir9 (talk) 17:26, July 24, 2015 (UTC)

Found the information on the Japanese wiki. I knew about it for some time, since a couple of months ago. Back then, there was not much information on these items. They were red links at the time. So today, I decided to check that out when I notices the site within my bookmarks. So I decided to put the information on this wiki. As for archiving, I'll do that tomorrow during the day. Fenrir9 (talk)

You created the 18,000th article :)Edit

Dark Magic (The 4 Heroes of Light) to be exact!Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 01:26, August 3, 2015 (UTC)

Awesome :) Now I have to ask how can anyone know that? Even I didn't know, so I'm curious about this. Fenrir9 (talk) 15:26, August 3, 2015 (UTC)
Well I just saw 18,000th had been created and looked at the Special:Newpages.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 17:09, August 3, 2015 (UTC)
