I was checking your userpage and you say you want to play FFX. The game is good but is far from being one of the bests, you may love it or hate it. If you have a PSP or a PS1, you should play FFT, that's a truly masterpiece but again, is just my opinion.

I've played FFT. I got bored very quickly, I didn't much care for the battle system and the intro was so long I just didn't care to sit through it. I hear many great things about FFT, but I just don't think it's for me. Drake Clawfang 16:48, 8 July 2009 (UTC)

Archive[edit source]

Do you have an archive for your Dragon's Den thing? I saw your Transformers 2 review a while ago, but didn't read it because I hadn't seen the movie. I just saw the movie and was interested in what you thought about it. Silver Dragon XXVIII 22:53, 9 July 2009 (UTC)

I don't, but here, you can look at the previous revision of the page. Drake Clawfang 23:03, 9 July 2009 (UTC)

Thanks. There are two changes in the movies that I think were a good choice:

  1. Megatron transforming into a spaceship. I always thought that him turning into a gun was really stupid. What if no one was there to fire for him?
  2. Soundwave as a satellite is way cooler than as a boombox. Silver Dragon XXVIII 16:20, 10 July 2009 (UTC)

Haley's no knight!![edit source]

So, Haley Joel Osmond isn't the Onion Knight? Sorry for goofing off. I can be a real idiot sometimes. I hope this is doesn't happen again. Werehog22 7/9/2009 4:27 PM (UTC)

HJO was 14 when he voiced Sora seven years ago, now he's 21. That OK sounds like Sora should be a clear indication that it's not HJO. Drake Clawfang 23:36, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
Well, this time, I think I'll just let other users take their guesses of who's who and stay out of it. Still, Laura Bailey, I didn't expect Lust from Fullmetal Alchemist to do COD. Werehog22 7/9/2009 4:39 PM (UTC)

Why, thank you very much for the welcome! I was thinking about writing a walkthrough or two, if anything it's just for fun. I probably won't get started on it until next weekend. Read some of yours, liked 'em! If you can, let me know what the rules or policies are for walkthroughs. Thanks a lot! Flint Marco 03:56, 10 July 2009 (UTC)Flint Marco

Poll[edit source]

Squall EX Mode[edit source]

During Destiny Odyssey 1, when Squall leaps at Sephiroth, he turned his Revolver into the Lionheart, right? That's why it glowed blue, I thought.

Zalbaag 22:47, 10 July 2009 (UTC)

......again, huh? Drake Clawfang 22:51, 10 July 2009 (UTC)

Destiny Odyssey 1 is the huge battle that serves as the intro. When it switches to Squall vs. Sephiroth, Sephiroth jumps into the air, and Squall follows him. When it shows him leaping towards him, his Gunblade glows blue, and they start slashing at each other. It only ever turns blue when it turns from the Revolver to the Lionheart.

Plans for a new Page.[edit source]

I was thinking about how many people can disagree on most of the voices of Dissidia: Final Fantasy, and it got me wondering. "Isn't there a way to solve this problem without jumping to conclusions?" Then I had an idea, why not set up a page like the Dragon's Neck Colosseum, except instead of pitting characters against each other, we can make a voting page for upcoming English voices. We can compare videos with the video of the character, see which one matches, cast the votes, and make the final decision!

...Stupid, right? Werehog22 10:37 PM 7/10/2009 (UTC)

Right. Drake Clawfang 05:40, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
Sorry. I thought it would be a good idea since alot of people are starting to act too hastily, and beleive whatever fantasy they want. Remember when I put up those quotes on the character pages without waiting for the English dubbed version? These users are doing the same thing, except with the voice actors. For all we know, Christopher Sabat might not be doing the voice of Garland (silly to hear, I know), and instead, it's an actor who sounds almost identical to him. Is there another way? FFIX Orichalcon[edit source]

(Original message added to and removed from Drake's Talk Archive 8) 8bit 18:09, 12 July 2009 (UTC)

I uploaded the image last year from the Japanese V-Jump artbook (which is essentially the same thing as "Art of FFIX" by BradyGames). I cannot read Japanese, so I arrived at this conclusion through process of elimination. I still continue to receive e-mails for this "mistake" (if that is what it is). If you feel that this is an error, then by all means have the image deleted. icysugarspike 18:05, 12 July 2009 (UTC)

My sentiments exactly, O smarter-than-I Orichalcon Master. icysugarspike 18:52, 12 July 2009 (UTC)

Sephiroth/Dissidia[edit source]

It's precicely the fact that Jecht doesn't have his weapon. That's what I'm trying to say, they don't carry them around everytime. And kuja summoned an orb, as drawing a sword, notice the absence of his magic balls? I just want the best detail on articles. - Kyrel

If what you want is detailed information, then fix the information, don't remove it. Removing poorly worded information is not the proper course of action when you can reword it to make more sense. Drake Clawfang 01:15, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

Yet you fail to admit I have a point. As I'm doing now in your case. - Kyrel

And your point is what, then? You removed information that you could have reworded, and rather than explain yourself when you were reverted you just removed it again. You handled the problem poorly. Drake Clawfang 01:18, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

Instead of facing me with low personal attacks of what I (could) have done. Focus on what I said about that cuscene. Jecht is not carrying his weapon - Disproof that all Chaos warriors have their weapons with them all the time Kuja's absence of magic balls - proof that he doesn't have his "weapon" with him, yet he summons one magic ball as if he would draw his sword. - Kyrel

I care more about how people edit than why. It doesn't matter if you have the best intentions at heart, if your edit isn't helpful it still isn't helpful. And though your intentions were valid the course of action you took to fulfil them wasn't. As I said, rather than fix faulty information that you could have fixed yourself, you elected to just remove it. And you didn't explain why when reverted, you just removed it again, and you also haven't commented on a small discussion topic about the removal. I don't care what you said, I care about what you did. And what you did was handle the situation poorly. Learn from your mistakes and move on. Drake Clawfang 01:26, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

Your shame in this situation on behalf of your mistake is but an enough humorous victory for me. And as you wish I will have my say in that discussion. - Kyrel

Uhm..[edit source]

Yeah. If you paid attention to the video updates made to IGN and GameSpy...you'd know they're more than "speculation." So lay the frick off. :<

Alright. Then how bout common sense. >_> Seriously. Lay off.

How I recall, vandalism refers to VANDALIZING a page. Never thought adding in the correct information fit in with that. As for the admin. Maybe it's time you tell him he/she's wrong?

I'M wrong? The official demo is out in about 2 hours. When it's out, and you've confirmed it again...I DARE you to tell me I'm wrong.

Is this about the edit on Bartz Klauser's page? Werehog22 3:50 PM 7/23/2009 (UTC)

Hey.[edit source]

drake, i would like it if you comment on [1] tell me what you think of it on my talk page. thanks kiff15

Ifrit[edit source]

The Eidolon shown doesn't match previous concept art or the Ifrit shown in a CG scene, and Gamespot, while reliable, isn't an official source and has been wrong before. I think it's perfectly reasonable to play it safe and name that summon when Square-Enix does. Magugag 20:27, September 28, 2009 (UTC)

I think I provided ample reason to doubt, and I don't see why you insist on explicitly naming this summon when it has not been officially revealed by Squeenix, even on their Japanese site. Come on, there's really no reason at all to name it when it could still be in question, and if it turns out that you're wrong then IGN and Gamespot can't be used as reliable sources anymore.
I would also like to reiterate that there is a rendered CG scene of Ifrit, not just concept art, that falls in line with what we've already been shown. Magugag 20:33, September 28, 2009 (UTC)
Well then, since you seem unyielding on sticking to information that hasn't been officially confirmed- again, Gamespot is not Square-Enix, however much you insist they're reliable- I'll leave it there. However, if this Eidolon does turn out not to be Ifrit, Gamespot and IGN can no longer be considered completely reliable sources. I'll let you have your way until official word confirms one way or the other.

What does that have to do with anything?[edit source]

Hi,

You just deleted my edit in Lightning's article because, as far as I know, you thought it had nothing to do with her or her story. You asked "what does that have to do with anything?", so let me reply. I believe that Lightning's relationship with the other characters in the game counts as part of her story. I also think that writing solid information in any wiki article is very important because many people research info and get to know things with Wikipedia and other wikis. Many people get to know ff characters here so I really think that hiding information from people is extremely innapropriate. What I wrote in Lightning's article is solid information. It is a fact and a reality they will develop a "unique" relationship. I will not undo your edit. That is up to you. I am not being disrespectful, and I am not going to be duking it out in any case. Feel free to tell me what you think.

Are you sure....[edit source]

As I was browsing through the pages I saw this:

"Exdeath was the first villain to successfully kill a main character"

I don't think that is right. If I remember correctly, the Emperor successfully killed Ricard Highwind in Final Fantasy II thereby making him the first villian to successfully kill a main character.

Bye Drake[edit source]

Yay! Fellow wiki-hater! I hate the wiki yet I keep coming back. Second thing: Stress! I'm a normal, stressed guy, who goes to the FFWiki and leaves even more stressed. I takes things too seriously. Cuz ppl r stupid. Thirdly, New Divide is an awesome track, Linkin Park is awesomes. Though I think it will be hard for them to beat Numb. Fourthly, yeah, I believe it's you. Usually you can tell it's a user, and not a vandal because of the lack of vandalising. But then, that's how some vandals work. They'll slip something believable into Wikipedia pages. Re: Dissidia Voices[edit source]

I decided to coninue the discussion here because my talk page has had several new discussions sprout up ^^

How did they not tell Kuja's voice actor about Kuja's persona?!?! Especially when he's one of the most detailed and personality-rich villains in the enire stable. And not allowing all the VAs to meet each other and have a "Dissidia EBULs" party is lame. ^^ 8bit 21:06, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

I felt piss too because Kuja is a kickass villain in so many ways but remember, this is Square we are talking about. --TenzaZangetsu 23 August 2009 (UTC)
Ditto, that just like Square screwing up the only good character of IX. At lest Terra and Kefka's voices are good.  NeoZEROX Dissicon ff6 Ter4.png 21:18, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
You're wrong, Kuja isn't the only good characters of FFIX, I can make a whole list of that. --TenzaZangetsu 23 August 2009 (UTC)
Don't bother, your talking to a guy who hate IX because in this wiki it majorly overrate and think Zidane is this best main character. Kuja is my only favorite character in IX. So don't try to convince me IX is good.  NeoZEROX Dissicon ff6 Ter4.png 21:26, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

Rosa/Porom's spell learning rate[edit source]

I saw you adjusted the wording on Rosa's page regarding her rate of learning spells compared to Porom. I feel the wording I had used was still much more accurate for this instance, but didn't want to start an edit war. The only high-level spell that Porom learns faster than Rosa is Holy. This is an exception to the trend, not the case that should be used to describe her capabilities. Rosa learns every spell other than Holy from Haste on (Haste, Float, Reflect, Curaja, and Arise) at a lower level than Porom. (Note when you're comparing the tables that Arise and Holy are listed in a different order in each table, since they learn them in the opposite order from each other.) If anything, you could easily say she generally learns spells faster than Porom. But because there are exceptions, I restored older wording that stated they simply learn them at different levels.

Note that this all started due to a misconception I've seen many times that Porom learns spells faster than Rosa. Porom's page even said that she learned every spell at a lower level than Rosa before I corrected it. I don't know where this idea got started, but it has never been true in any version of FF4, as the tables on their pages or any of the many guides available all clearly show. Teratron 22:00, September 9, 2009 (UTC)

Look at their tables, yeah, Rosa is faster. I had their pages open for comparison when I did the edit and guess I got them confused. Sorry, change them back then. Drake Clawfang 22:52, September 9, 2009 (UTC)
OK, I went ahead and changed it back. Like I said earlier, this is apparently a very common misconception. I'm not sure how it got started or why it's so widespread, but I see it come up often. Especially now in TAY discussions, which is what got me checking here. It's so widespread that I actually was assuming it was more or less true when I set out to objectively compare them. I was very surprised to see that not only was Rosa faster, but that she was actually MUCH faster in the original version of the game. The order of Arise and Holy in the two tables adds to the confusion, since it looks like Porom's faster on both spells if you just compare the numbers at those positions in the table without noticing which spell the levels actually correspond to. I actually started to think I had been wrong for a minute when I went to double-check the numbers. <_<; Teratron 05:45, September 10, 2009 (UTC)

Well, That's That I Guess[edit source]

Well, managed to actually get through all of that. Holy hell was that a LOT to do though...and there's still Instruments and Throwing weapons to put on that page. I think I'll leave that to someone else......this is already going to cause some more weapon articles to be made x_x.

I might disappear again too after making some more of these articles, just a heads-up in case you wonder where I go or whatnot. Depends if I find anything else to do here or not, or if I get too wrapped up in my RPG or vid walkthroughs. Now if only I could do what I do for this wiki and put it into getting a job.....^^;; Xenomic 06:32, September 10, 2009 (UTC)

Greetings. I haven't been around in a long while and you seem to be an active staff member, so I thought I'd ask you this question. I noticed the on the media page the wiki now seems to have it's own YouTube account. I was wondering who I ask to get the password to access it. I'd like to add the EX Bursts from Dissidia.

That the Wiki even has a YouTube account is news to me. I'd imagine, though, you'd want to ask an Admin about that. Drake Clawfang 08:50, September 10, 2009 (UTC)

Dissidia opening quotes[edit source]

I'm not trying to spam. But I ask because I don't know if each of the quotes has an "allusion" standing or not. Hence this is requires the aid of others who can see such allusions.131.247.244.22 15:08, September 10, 2009 (UTC)

Manikins[edit source]

Since there is almost no information on Manikins, I can't see what more that page would have other than the list of manikins and their descriptions. Also, I do think a page describing where all the battle pieces can be found is interesting. I would name it simply "List of Battle Piece Locations". - Henryacores^ 17:59, September 17, 2009 (UTC)

You're kidding me right? That list hardly makes a page! Put it on a section on Battle Piece. About the Manikin page, do what you wish. - Henryacores^ 18:35, September 17, 2009 (UTC)

Re: Garnet[edit source]

Well, yeah, but I always liked Garnet for her persona as well as her her physical appearance... hair in particular. She's so serene in this image. The portrayal of her as a quiet, prayerful, internally beautiful person that is attractive to me.

Of course, you would find the image of her half-clothed. :P 8bit 21:05, September 25, 2009 (UTC)

Japanese[edit source]

"The kanji for Meteor is "メテオ", while the kanji for Starfall is "いんせき""

Actually, neither of those are kanji. The first is katakana, used for loan words taken from other languages, onomatopoeia, and names. The second is in hiragana, which is used when neither kanji nor katakana is appropriate. Kanji refers only to Chinese characters, while romaji is the transcription of Japanese with the Latin alphabet. Hope you don't mind me giving you a heads up. ^^ — YuanSalve!Acta 07:05, September 28, 2009 (UTC)

Scathe is mostly correct - there's just one thing which I'm going to nitpick about, since I'm a language geek. ^^;

  • Katakana - boxy and angular. Simplest to write.
  • Hiragana - Curvy, slightly more complicated than Katakana
  • Kanji - most complicated.

The first two are scripts; each kana represents a syllable which make up words. You can think of it as a sort of alphabet. Hecko made a handy flash chart here (scroll down), if you'd like a reference.

Kanji are logograms. Scathe was slightly wrong in saying they make words by themselves - while they can have meaning by themselves, they are often found in conjunction with other kanji or hiragana (in Chinese, almost all characters are found in compounds). Compounds can also vary wildly in meaning from their components. Each kanji has a number of readings that can be written in hiragana. The reading varies depending whether the character is in a compound or by itself.

For example, take the character "人", meaning person. By itself it is read as "hito". When placed with the character "気" (spirit) it makes "ninki", popularity.

From what I've seen translating things on the wiki, most enemy and character names are in katakana, meaning they have generally been taken from English, transcripted in Japanese and back again. Mistranslations are basically like accidents in a multi-lingual game of Chinese Whispers. — YuanSalve!Acta 06:26, September 29, 2009 (UTC)

Advent Children Whitney Subtitles[edit source]

I saw you reverted the mention of the fan made joke subtitles for Advent Children. No reason was given. It seems kosher under Scope rule 7 (non-cannon FF related fan work), so I put it back. I always have difficulty finding it so I figured I'd put it on the wiki. What's the beef?

Thank you, everyone. I'm alright, I'm dealing. I don't get breakdowns or anything, I've cried my tears and said my goodbyes. As I said, she went peacefully, she was unconscious when she got to the hospital. She had said she didn't want to be kept alive by machines, and they told us she wasn't going to wake up, so once we all said our goodbyes they unplugged her and let her go. Myself and almost all of her family was there with her when it happened. I do feel happy, though, that she went surrounded by family that loved her, the way anyone should die. Odin[edit source]

Hey, sorry to be bothering you again. I was just really curious about finding the screenshots with Odin fighting the party, and I was wondering if you could provide a link so I can take a look? Mind you, I don't believe the information to be unconfirmed. I'd just like to see the screenshots if you know where they are! Also, I'm very sorry to hear about your grandma, and considering the circumstances just get back to me whenever you feel you can. Magugag 06:30, October 20, 2009 (UTC)

Thanks a heap! Sorry again to bother you, especially since the shots were just on the official site! Magugag 06:49, October 20, 2009 (UTC)
My original intent was to use these screenshots as a reference discussing the topic on a forum, but looking at them, I don't think she's fighting Odin. Look at the shots: Her target in both seems to be PSICOM soldier. The words 'target' and a health bar float above the guy's head, and on the right side of the screen there's a prompt to take Odin into driving mode. She's just fighting alongside him. Magugag 06:53, October 20, 2009 (UTC)
It happens. I'm actually kind of disappointed; fighting summons to gain them is a Final Fantasy semi-tradition that I rather like. :( Magugag 06:59, October 20, 2009 (UTC)

Ultima[edit source]

Hey Drake. I'm following your walkthrough for the Dragon's Den in FFVI because I'm lazy, but I'm stuck on the Red Dragon. With my current setup, 3/4 of my party is killed by his Ultima, while Relm (who only survived due to her massive amount of HP), is killed by his final Flare. You mention in that section of your walkthrough that his strongest attack (presumably Ultima) can be absorbed, but you don't mention what equipment or relics nullify it. What is it? - +DeadlySlashSword+ 21:11, October 22, 2009 (UTC)

You didn't read closely enough, friend - Runic. Runic all his magic and he's helpless. Celes and Gogo are your friends. Drake Clawfang 21:19, October 22, 2009 (UTC)

Opinion[edit source]

ACRudeBox.PNG

The Summon template as is, no. The only way it would be worth using is if, as with most other Magic templates, we have pages for individual summon abilities for every summon in each game, but I'm not fond of that idea. The Recurring summon abilities fit into the Summon template we have now alright, if more pages are made for them it could warrant a template like this. As is now though, I'm just not sure there's enough there.

The Transportation template is good, you could implement that right now. The Limit Break and Subquest templates have potential, the subquest one just needs to be segmented into game sections. My problem with the LB one is that there's about half the games in the series don't have Limit Breaks, and some Limit Breaks don't have specific pages we can put on the Template. We've got Renzokuken and Swordplay, but no page for Cloud's Limit Breaks, or for Riot Blade (with Cloud's we probably could make a page for them and most the FF7 guys, but we don't have any titles for those pages). Drake Clawfang 09:29, November 2, 2009 (UTC)

I see. If you have any ideas on fixing em up, go right ahead and do so too. As for the Limit Break template, I'm sure that it's possible to still do, even with how they didn't show up until FFVI. It probably would be easy to split the articles for the FF characters (just call them by their names, like Omnislash, Finishing Touch, etc. Heck, all of Cloud's Limit Breaks can have their own page with how many times they've appeared). That's partly why I have Limit Break on the template for the FF7 characters, and Desperation Attack for the FF6 people. Of course....that's just that.
As for the Transportation template, just gotta figure out how to set that up on its own page then. Xenomic 09:33, November 2, 2009 (UTC)

I'm going to be clear on this[edit source]

I'm sorry circumstances weren't better. I misunderstood and made a mistake because someone (though it turned out not to be you) could not be civil. However, I don't really care much if you don't like me. My concern is that we - if necessary - cooperate civilly and productively in the wiki. No flame wars. No edit wars. No recriminations. And no personal attacks. I'm aware I superficially sound very stilted, condescending, and can seem stubborn. But I know how to be wrong. That won't mean I'm wrong all the time, otherwise I definitely wouldn't have a usefulness here. Now, I expect you to be civil with me and cooperate with me in a wiki-like fashion if we ever end up editing the same article or discussing the same talk page. And I don't want to be insulted if I have a logic gap now and then. - Gilgamesh 15:02, December 14, 2009 (UTC)

DNC[edit source]

The real question Drake, is why even bother changing it? You are clearly not as genius as TA, and TA is always going to overrule you. You are not in control of the DNC. By changing the fight you are vandalising. I'll go over to your userpage and add a random userbox. That is vandalism. Summonstone?[edit source]

Can you look on Summons (Dissidia) and see if there's anything on Summonstones that need to be explained more? I don't know know what your rationale for suggesting the page should be called "Summonstone" is, but I haven't played the game. If you could put something on the talk page explaining your position it would be helpful. 8bit 22:55, November 10, 2009 (UTC)

Well the one thing I can speculate on is that Dissidia's summons somehow need to be "charged", because I've noticed at the end of some fights a message "charging Summonstone <name>" appears. I think it may be related to if the player can use the summonstone in battle or not. Drake Clawfang 22:59, November 10, 2009 (UTC)

FFIX Template[edit source]

Because we're making ability templates for the games that have multiple abilities. FFT, Crisis Core, and XI all already do it, and we are going to add V, VIII, and IX. Also, all abilities (that aren't part of a skillset) that don't have pages are going to be made even if they only appear in one game (some player ability rule or something). ScatheMote 01:11, November 12, 2009 (UTC)

Right, but that doesn't answer my question. Those pages already have the overarching "Ability" Template, we're going to add the separate game templates to them too now? Several pages will end up with like, a dozen Templates if we do that. Drake Clawfang 01:15, November 12, 2009 (UTC)
But I don't think we're doing it with every game, just the ones with many recurring support abilities (V, VIII, IX). And I said before, we already do it for FFT, CC, and XI, so it makes sense if we do it for every applicable game. ScatheMote 01:22, November 12, 2009 (UTC)
Still not answering my question. Nevermind, do whatever. Drake Clawfang 01:23, November 12, 2009 (UTC)

Let me put it this way: This is how several Ability pages will end up looking, even if we only do specific game templates for certain games. You're good with that? Drake Clawfang 01:25, November 12, 2009 (UTC)

Eh, I see what you mean. I was just doing it because the way it was told to me I assumed we had already discussed this and decided that the clutter was irrelevant. I think we should discuss this a bit more in the forums or something. ScatheMote 01:29, November 12, 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, it's not that I don't agree with the theory, but so many abilities are in so many games, they would end up with so many Templates and it would look really ugly. We should add the "FF# Abilities" templates to the ability pages for abilities from that game, but for more broad abilities....hm....yeah, a forum might be a good idea for this. Drake Clawfang 01:34, November 12, 2009 (UTC)
I had an idea. What if we coded pages with so many templates to "hide" them? Drake Clawfang 01:40, November 12, 2009 (UTC)
That's a good idea. We could make a nav nav template that sticks all the nav templates inside. ScatheMote 01:44, November 12, 2009 (UTC)

No no, not a template for templates! I mean on the page itself, we add coding to hide the Templates. Gimme a minute, I'll show you. Drake Clawfang 01:48, November 12, 2009 (UTC)

Just found it won't work, if we were to put the Collapsible Templates inside a Collapsible Table, "Showing" the Table would "Show" the Templates inside as well. So we can't do that. Drake Clawfang 01:51, November 12, 2009 (UTC)
I already have a topic over on the forums for the templates if you guys want to talk there. Granted, I'll probably forget about the topic myself...
Anywho, I've already made my post on the subject at hand anyways there and on the FFX/FFIX/FFVIII ability templates... Xenomic 02:05, November 12, 2009 (UTC)

Hi. I would just like to ask: was there a reason for you undoing the entry I made? I'm not offended, just confused. AssassinLegend 03:05, November 25, 2009 (UTC)

Well mostly, it was a fanvid, and as with fanart I believe you need the user's permission to use those here. But also, while the work in the vid was impressive, the swords weren't entirely accurate reproductions of what is seen in the movie, and linking to the video as a whole isn't needed when several detailed diagrams of the swords and how they slot together are already present in the article. Drake Clawfang 03:07, November 25, 2009 (UTC)
Ah. Whoops. Didn't think of the first part.
The reason I uploaded it was because to those who haven't watched AC (me being one of them) would be kind of confused with the diagrams. The Korean one (or, at least I believe it is Korean), for instance, doesn't really make it clear that the two back blades are extremely thin, and connect to each other. No problem. As far as I know though, the back blades don't connect to each other, they connect to the main blade individually. Drake Clawfang 07:11, November 25, 2009 (UTC)
True. They don't really connect, but they slide and lock into place on separate sides. Whoops. AssassinLegend 20:21, November 25, 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, it's not like the movie ever gives us a clear view of exactly *how* they all connect. I'd personally like to know, since the swords all just appear to slide into the handle, what's locking them in place. Drake Clawfang 20:23, November 25, 2009 (UTC)

Yup. You can figure that out with the hollow blade, but not so for the rest, really. AssassinLegend 23:21, November 25, 2009 (UTC)

Images[edit source]

Galbana-ffxiirw.png

Yes, the .gif files are transparent, but ILHI says the PNG format is superior for....some reason, and says the .gif ones go. You're the Admin, you make the call. As for the second part, noted. Drake Clawfang 05:18, November 25, 2009 (UTC)

I do a lot of work with this kind of thing. I find that PNGs scale better, plus you have true alpha blending, where GIF can only set a color to transparent. PNG also has a better color depth, but for sprites, GIF is fine in most cases. GIF is also slightly smaller, even compared to an 8-bit PNG, so it really depends on what you're going for. 3D images would probably best be in PNG. Bluestarultor 05:26, November 25, 2009 (UTC)

Quick Question[edit source]

If you have to ask, I'm not telling. You should already know. Drake Clawfang 05:06, November 28, 2009 (UTC)

Ff13-summon-snowshiva.png

My ego has nothing to do with this. You've been long enough to know how it works, if you don't, oh well. Drake Clawfang 05:09, November 28, 2009 (UTC)

Looking at Aerith's talk page would clear things up a bit. At least be somewhat helpful, Drake. 8bit 05:14, November 28, 2009 (UTC)
I could be, yes. But for some reason, not sure why, I'm in a bad mood. Drake Clawfang 05:15, November 28, 2009 (UTC)

You think I should upload some FFXIII images? I can't find a lot to do around here lately.

If you can find some that would be helpful to use, sure why not? Drake Clawfang 22:20, December 1, 2009 (UTC)

I'll see what I can find, see Fang's page to see my first upload.

Ty[edit source]

thanks for the welcome.

Um, hello[edit source]

Hello, Mister Drake Clawfang. You probably don't know me, but I think should have seen me around the KH Wiki and sometimes here, too. I just wanted to meet you, at least once. I see you everyone on the Internet. Fanfiction.Net, YouTube, all of the wikis I go to, you're everyone. You must do a lot of things, huh? I wonder how you do it.

Since I have the courage to come here at last, I want to thank you for lending a hand to the KH Wiki sometimes. So...Thank you.

I hope you update that Dissidia fanfic of yours soon. It's the best one in the section. Everything is kinda boring. I love how you did Sephiroth and Kefa's "conversations". They make me laugh. It'd be nice if someone did a Terra and Sephiroth fanfic, don't you think so? It could make a crack in the relationships between the Heros and the Villians. Could be fun, right?

Well, I'll see seeing you. Oh, and I read some of your Inuyasha ones! They're great. I love Inuyasha so much. Have you watch the new season, Inuyasha: The Final Act?--NinjaSheik 15:31, December 13, 2009 (UTC)

Heh, thanks for the praise, it's always nice to meet a fan. In response to Inuyasha, no I haven't seen it yet, I'm waiting for the dub. Doreiku Kuroofangu 20:29, December 13, 2009 (UTC)

You reply to me! Yay! I got worried. I hope you update soon with that Dissidia fic! Everything's so boooring! Maybe you should think fo the whole Terra & Sephhiroth I mention! I was thinking about doing one, but I don't have a plot to do it. It could be fun to use in a fanfic.--NinjaSheik 20:34, December 13, 2009 (UTC)

In my story, no I won't be doing TxS. Sephiroth is interested in her, but not romantically, his interest in her stems from her relationship with Cloud and her similarities to a "certain someone". And hey, if you think of a plot, go for it. I've read some of the fanfics out there, as long as you don't insert author notes in the middle of a sentence and use proper spelling and grammar, you'll already be in the better portion of writers. Doreiku Kuroofangu 20:38, December 13, 2009 (UTC)

Aww, poopie. Well, that's okay. I still don't know if I should do it. I don't think I could capture everyone right. I'll think about it.

So...I was wondering...Can you please tell me what's going to happen in the next chapter!?! Please!? Pretty please with a cherry on top?--NinjaSheik 20:41, December 13, 2009 (UTC)

Sorry, I don't do spoilers. I'll tell you this much, it leads into another fight scene. Doreiku Kuroofangu 20:49, December 13, 2009 (UTC)

More fighting, of course! You know, you should let Sephiroth kill Kefa! He creeps me out!--NinjaSheik 20:51, December 13, 2009 (UTC)

Ha ha, good! If Kefka isn't creepy, he and I aren't doing our jobs properly. BTW, when it comes to SephyxKefka, I'm on the K-man's side. ;p Doreiku Kuroofangu 20:58, December 13, 2009 (UTC)

I'm on Sephiroth's! He's so cool, and strong, and handsome! He's so great! Kyaaa~!

EDIT: Hey, you should take a look at this. You don't have to read the whole thing, just see the part with your name in it.--NinjaSheik 20:59, December 13, 2009 (UTC)

Ah-ha, cool, thanks. I always enjoy knowing people like my work. Doreiku Kuroofangu 02:17, December 18, 2009 (UTC)

You're the best!--NinjaSheik 02:26, December 18, 2009 (UTC)

The userbase hates you? What next? You're going to tell me the userbase hates me? Who hates you? Gilgameshkun doesn't count, because he's not a member of the userbase, since userbase generally refers to the regularly active users at the time. Gilgamesh only comes when you edit one of his pages.  ILHI 17:46, December 14, 2009 (UTC)

Someone hates Mister Drake Clawfang? Why? I think he's very coool~! He have lots of talent.--NinjaSheik 22:53, December 14, 2009 (UTC)

New Guy[edit source]

Hey I've been looking around and it seems to me like you're the guy to know on here. If you, being the great Master Drake Clawfang (not sarcasm) could give any tips or pointers or anything helpful to the me, I would greatly appreciate it and will swear undying loyalty to you. LAWLZMr. Ogrekiller 23:44, December 17, 2009 (UTC)

I'd like to know how to make a dialogue box Mr. Ogrekiller 23:56, December 17, 2009 (UTC)

That brings up the question of how to make a template. I hate being the newbie. Mr. Ogrekiller 00:17, December 18, 2009 (UTC)

It's fine. Thanks anyway. I just wanna make my page cooler and contribute some humor and correct grammar Mr. Ogrekiller 00:31, December 18, 2009 (UTC)

Quick Questions[edit source]

Could you maybe make a joke commentery for the Final Fantasy VIII walkthough you made? It would be great if you can, loved the one you made for Final Fantasy VII. User:HeartlessAngel01

Admin? Blocked?[edit source]

Why? FaythOfFenrir 07:19, December 21, 2009 (UTC)

Drake isn't an admin, he's a moderator. He was blocked by Faethin for incivility. — YuanSalve!Acta 08:00, December 21, 2009 (UTC)
Which, IMO, isn't the right decision to make. By blocking a user, you stop them from helping the wiki. Being incivil is a problem, yes, but you warn the user by saying "Continue to do this and you'll get blocked". This will either make them stop, or not, in which they can be swiftly blocked. In most cases, it will make them stop, and therefore there is no need to lose a valuable member of the userbase for a couple of days.  ILHI 13:36, December 21, 2009 (UTC)
You'd be absolutely right ILHI were this the first time 1)we tell Drake to be civil 2)Drake gets blocked for failing to be civil. Faethinte audio 18:26, December 21, 2009 (UTC)

Hello[edit source]

Hello. My name is Shadowed Hellfire. I've seen you around, have seen your YouTube account (I think it's you...), and also used to see your edits to the Kingdom Hearts Wiki, where I understand many of this site's users come from or vice versa. I was hoping we could be friends. There is much I'd need done in order to contribute to this website. - Shadowed Hellfire 00:53, December 26, 2009 (UTC)

Hmmm[edit source]

Why is it when ever you decide to update the DNC in place of TA, he always shows up to change it right away? Even when he has been gone for awhile. FaythOfFenrir 23:02, December 28, 2009 (UTC)

At least it gets him out right? TA comes around to change it because he hates me changing it. Doreiku Kuroofangu 23:07, December 28, 2009 (UTC)
So thats how you get him to update... FaythOfFenrir 23:08, December 28, 2009 (UTC)
Yup. If TA is late from now on, I'll just change it myself and wait a hour or two. That should get him to come a'running. As someone on the IRC said - "His DNC-sense is tingling". ;p Doreiku Kuroofangu 23:08, December 28, 2009 (UTC)
