Talk Messages[edit source]

BS[edit source]

Okay Mr. Smart Guy, tell me. If your so intent on that the sword is not based off its Crisis Core design, then why did you put "The sword is based on its Crisis Core design." On the the LR:FFXIII section of the Buster Sword page? I would LOVE to hear why You have all the right to claim the sword is based on its Crisis Core design, yet when I try to do the same thing on a different page, suddenly your man panties get ruffled. Please, Mr. Drake, do explain.
Ixbran (talk) 11:30, July 2, 2013 (UTC)

I will be honest when I say I can not think of a single nice thing to say to, or about, you. Ever since I started editing wiki's first back in 2008 almost everything I had done was always undone by you. The thing that makes me assume you are harassing me is that, for the most part, you never explained why you ever undid any of my edits. you just removed them with no explanation as to why. You did this for a very long time, and your one of the main reasons I avoid the FF and KH wiki all together, I always feel like you're out to get me. Some times in the past we have agreed on things before and even gotten along, and I start to feel that paranoia go away. But then you go back to doing stuff like this again. That time when you changed the trivia on the lightning garb page at this point in time I was willing to let it go and decided to do some exploring. I had thought that you wee probably right and it was best to leave it alone. However when i went to the buster sword page just to do some reading up on it, out of curiosity, I saw that it had that sentence "The sword is based on its Crisis Core design.", I had figured to go and remove the statement, undo it from the history section. But then when I saw in the history section that you were the person who put that statement there, I snapped. I instantly felt that all my suspicions that you had something against me were basically 100% confirmed. The fact that you were blatantly going out of your way to undo a statement that you your self put on another page made me feel like you were making personal attacks on me. It makes me feel that my suspicions about you were right the entire time. And I'll be honest when I say I am still convinced you just might be. Given our history, you 'seemingly' going out of your way to undo everything I do constantly, and now this, makes it very hard for me to believe otherwise. It'll be a very long while before I feel I'll ever be able to trust anything you say to be true. I'm not saying this out of pure animosity or to be mean, i am saying this because it is how i truly feel about you right now. If you really want me to believe that you are not actually harassing me, and that when you undo my edits you have actual reasons, you're going to have to prove it. Otherwise the words you say mean nothing to me.
Ixbran (talk) 12:49, July 2, 2013 (UTC)

Oh bitch bitch bitch[edit source]

No, it's not dead, since I stil have the proof, and it's on other websites, not just this one. So good day and fuck you.

And I should care about a block why? It's not intimidating, and quite honestly, I don't care if I get blocked here. So, good day, shithead.

Re: Ark - Hope[edit source]

No, it was in English on the Nova Crystallis website, yes probably via the Japanese website update (and I do trust their translators). Here's the link. Should I have added that? Sorry if I've done something wrong.

Noesis mysteries[edit source]

How did you manage to turn the weapon models the way you uploaded them? I can't seem to turn them diagonally.

I didn't, I exported them and loaded them into milkshape to rotate them. Took time to export them all en masse, taking a break for the moment and will continue later today. Drake Clawfang (talk) 17:37, July 3, 2013 (UTC)

Can you explain how did you do that? I don't know much about milkshape. :/ --Pmbarbieri (talk) 17:52, July 3, 2013 (UTC)

I export from Noesis as an obj, during export I click "Flip UVs" so the textures will work in milkshape as exported, otherwise I'd have to flip them horizontally in Gimp. In Milkshape I set the background to white (preferences - choose (persp background)), import the .obj, select all the model pieces under groups, create a new Material under that tab, load the texture file as that material, then Assign and there it is. Click the Emissive button and select white to fix the edgings. Right-click in the window, Projection - Left to get a side view, then rotate as you like or go to model and rotate 45 degrees. Bows and some other weapons need to be viwed differently, but it works for most weapons. Also under the right-click menu are three Transparency options, some weapons I have to play with the options to get all parts of the weapon to show up right.

Screencap like in Noesis and then delete the model bits under Groups and import the next one. Drake Clawfang (talk) 17:58, July 3, 2013 (UTC)

When you have time, could you reupload the Dullahan's sword image? I can't see it in its original size. --Pmbarbieri (talk) 07:48, July 5, 2013 (UTC)

Huh? Drake Clawfang (talk) 13:15, July 5, 2013 (UTC)

XII enemy images[edit source]

There's "File:XII wolf render.png" and "File:Wolf-ffxii.png" but in different poses, just fyi. Also, should things like Bluesang have the same model as Dullahan does on its page? I mean, Bune is based off Dullahan as it's a rare game enemy, but I wasn't sure if the models were the same. Same problem I had with Black, Dark, and Nega elements in FFX - not sure if they share models. My OCD is annoying like that, lol. --Shockstorm (talk) 07:05, July 8, 2013 (UTC)

Judging from images it appears a lot of rare game enemies in FF12 share the same models, so yeah, I'd say go for it. As for the enemies, sorry, tag the first for deletion since the second is at the proper naming (when I'm done I'm gonna move the others around to that format) Drake Clawfang (talk) 10:05, July 8, 2013 (UTC)

Looks like there is an enemy and weapon with the same name: File:Nightmare-ffxii.png Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 15:09, July 8, 2013 (UTC)

-_- Of couuuuuurse there is. I'm on my laptop atm so I'm unable to access the usual programs and files. What should be done is what was done with Antares (Final Fantasy XII Enemy), move the current file to "Nightmare-ffxii-weapon", save the enemy image, revert the file back to the sword, then upload the enemy image to "Nightmare-ffxii-enemy". Sorry about that. Drake Clawfang (talk) 15:32, July 8, 2013 (UTC)

I edited them based on a screenshot I had. The Reaper and the Deathscythe are the only ones with that effect. BTW, soon some better images will come, because not all the models are very good (flans being an example). I'll start with a Headless with his weapon, taken directly from the game itself. --Pmbarbieri (talk) 09:14, July 13, 2013 (UTC)

Awesome. And yeah, I had to fudge the flans to get my images, fiddling with alpha layers and compositing from different screenshots, etc. Dicks. Drake Clawfang (talk) 09:19, July 13, 2013 (UTC)

Re: Army of One[edit source]

If you watched The Divine Task trailer, you must have noticed how that move is similar to Legion of One, especially with that column of light. I'll leave it for now as it is: I'm not Gomez6 to start pointless edit-warring over such thing. ;P —Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) ∙ 13:41, July 13, 2013 (UTC)

I went on the internet and I found this!

Given how you often link us to Danbooru on IRC and you like your sexy FF ladies, I wondered if you liked this xD you have permission to slap me if you don't, but I found it amusing. Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle.png 22:56, July 15, 2013 (UTC)

Hey, Drake Clawfang![edit source]

My name is NoctisXV (as my name implies, I love Noctis's character) I'm new to the wiki and just happened upon your page. I like how make Fanfics because I love a good story. Most my time I edit whenever I can. Mostly I just update my profile. Maybe consider writing a (typing) a Fanfic about Final Fantasy XIII-2's Noel Kreiss and elaborate on the story behind 'A Dying World'. We could talk about it... NoctisXV (talk) 06:46, July 16, 2013 (UTC)

A little advice for me?[edit source]

Since you've those miraculous stories I'd thought I'd ask, could ya give me some advice on this story I'm writing? It's called the Chronicles of Ygg. It's about a world where all souls are governed by the tree of Yggdrasil. Odin, its protector senses a coming danger. Ultima has forsaken the human way of life and wishes to destroy Yggdrasil. She summons Inminentis, the Destroyer. Seeing that she has done so, Odin summons its holy counterpart, Bionis Machina. Whilst they clash, Odin launches Gungnir at Ultima. She blocks and begins to cast Eschaton.

Odin begins to charge towards her while preparing Zantetsuken. In doing so it cause a fatal explosion. As Odin and Sleipnir, his horse, plummet towards, Odin begins to lose his memory. His wife, Frigga, rescues him as the Warriors of Light Banish Ultima. Odin becomes the protector of Yggdrasil henceforth bearing the name Ygg.

From within, Yggdrasil uses the soul crystals to brand New warriors to sustain the Eternal Equilibrium. From there, the world of Okktnycem is forever changed, leading into the main story.

Okktnycem is Al Bhed for Yggdrasil. I'd thought it would be cool to do so. NoctisXV (talk) 07:23, July 16, 2013 (UTC)

Need Input[edit source]

I wouldn't see a problem with that. Drake Clawfang (talk) 03:51, September 5, 2013 (UTC)

No problem, I know your pain in getting info. If you do TAY, protip, use my walkthrough, I'm thorough :)

Also would help me, think you can run down the Clan Primer and offer some opinions? A lot of the topics there are from me and have little if no input so far. Drake Clawfang (talk) 04:01, September 5, 2013 (UTC)

Re:Log In[edit source]

Hope you don't mind me putting this here but I am really sorry, I feel really brain dead about forgetting to log in, I realize I can't really make excuses about it and I'm sorry you had to go through and delete them all. My fault completely. Axamin 17:01, September 7th, 2013 UTC.

No problem and no need to apologize, happens all the time with these tournaments and such. Drake Clawfang (talk) 17:02, September 7, 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for understanding, and would you mind if I asked a few questions since I'm trying to do more for the wiki? Axamin 17:38, September 7, 2013 (UTC)
Sure, what's up? Drake Clawfang (talk) 18:02, September 7, 2013 (UTC)
For the tables for Dimensions enemies, a lot of the information is difficult to get if at all possible in game, so what do I do there? I'm also not sure when to take off stub tags, if I'm even supposed to do that, if I'm not, who do I tell to get them to check to see if it can be removed? Axamin 18:50, September 7, 2013 (UTC)
Haven't played Dimensions, no comment. Stubs, use your best judgment is the section is large enough to consider no longer a stub. Drake Clawfang (talk) 19:04, September 7, 2013 (UTC)
Ok, also am I allowed to remove the not enough photo tags after I add some and when is a good length to consider something not a stub, thanks again for the help Axamin 19:10, September 7, 2013 (UTC)
You can remove the not enough images template when there is enough images (for lists that have images, that's at least one image of everything covered, else use your best judgement). As for stubs, there's no hard guideline. When you think there's not much more that can be said on the subject, you remove the stub. -- Some Color Mage ~ (Talk) 22:51, September 7, 2013 (UTC)
Thanks a ton, this helps out a lot, I'm really wanting to help revamp dimensions stuff since I feel its underdone and I have the resources to. Thank you both Axamin 23:13, September 7th, 2013 (UTC)

Final Fantasy VI walkthrough error[edit source] 17:53, September 22, 2013 (UTC) Dear Drake,

I've been following your Wiki for Final Fantasy VI and it's been top-notch thus far. However, I just got Mog and saw that you had a list of the different dances he could learn and where to learn them. I went ahead and availed myself of the various opportunities to get his dances, including jumping into the Serpent Trench south of the Veldt. Big mistake.

Figaro Castle is not in the desert between South Figaro and Narshe, so I can't get out west...South Figaro is under occupation...and of course the only thing Mt. Kolts leads to is the Returner Hideout, which is a dead end. So I can't get back to the eastern part of the north continent to grab my airship (I had to leave it to jump into the Serpent Trench). I can't get to Barren Falls at all to try to get back to the Veldt.

If you know of something I'm missing, please let me know, but otherwise I would recommend updating that section of the walkthrough so that others don't get stuck like I did. I'm going to see how far back I have a save-state (running on an emulator)...wish me luck! 17:53, September 22, 2013 (UTC)

Can you explain further what the problem is? If you lept in the Serpent Trench then you should be in Nikeah, nowhere near South Figaro. Drake Clawfang (talk) 18:20, September 22, 2013 (UTC)

Seymour[edit source]

I didn't remember that one was already uploaded, nor that Seymour didn't have his staff during the boss fight. Guess the other image only works for the FFX-2 boss fight.

Anyway, if you need help with the other monster models, you can take them from my wiki. --Pmbarbieri (talk) 09:49, September 28, 2013 (UTC)

Red Mage[edit source]

Why did you move "Red Mage (Job)" back over the disambig? You didn't leave any reason or consult with anyone. Also, you didn't bother fixing the links. I hope you didn't do that to additional pages. --Shockstorm (talk) 19:44, October 2, 2013 (UTC)

Well at a glance for why you moved it yourself, I would wager it's because the MLASK enemy falls under the scope of the Red Mage as a job, so there was no need for a tag. Link fixing, I offer no excuse, can barely remember my thought processes a week ago, let alone a month, dunno why I didn't. Drake Clawfang (talk) 19:47, October 2, 2013 (UTC)
Yeah, on second thought, it's not a big deal. I had a stressful day today so that kinda clouded my judgment :p --Shockstorm (talk) 00:19, October 3, 2013 (UTC)

Ahriman[edit source]

I think it's bad bone rotation by Noesis. It's not just the eye, but also the wings are screwed up. You can check my wiki, though: I have all the renders, taken directly from Final Fantasy X-2 by using lv 3 Sensor. --Pmbarbieri (talk) 18:24, October 4, 2013 (UTC)

Well, if you have them then I'd rather let you upload them, I can grab whatever ones you lack in the meantime. Drake Clawfang (talk) 18:27, October 4, 2013 (UTC)

Question~[edit source]

You just have to save, don't need to play through the end again. With Rydia's Tale though, if you didn't get the parts to fix the dolls and do later, you do need to play through the end to have that register.

As for the IRC, you'll have to talk to me here from now on, I don't go on the IRC anymore. Drake Clawfang (talk) 14:50, October 19, 2013 (UTC)

Yeah, Rydia's Challenge Dungeon is brutal, Bio and lots of Tents are advised.

Hope you're using my walkthrough, I'm rather thorough ;p Drake Clawfang (talk) 20:41, October 19, 2013 (UTC)

In TAY Bio is the Disc One Nuke. It has no charge time, no elemental affinity, and has higher power than the -ra spells, so it's your go-to answer for everything. Later on I find Quake has a similar utility :) The same for Slow, Slow every boss in TAY, it's awesome. And for Trap Doors, Stop. Drake Clawfang (talk) 21:10, October 19, 2013 (UTC)

Yeah, a lot of challenge dungeons have enemies like Lamias, Coeurls, and Mad Ogres, against them Sleep, Slow and Stop are lifesavers. Especially in mage chapters. Drake Clawfang (talk) 21:27, October 19, 2013 (UTC)

Nothing comes to mind, though my walkthrough would note if there was something big you could miss. Drake Clawfang (talk) 21:58, October 19, 2013 (UTC)

You poor bastard, I don't blame you. At least the gameplay is passable eh? And yeah, Lost Babil is a total joke, one of the easiest "superbosses" ever.

I confess I have no idea what images we would need in the first place, and I can't use my PSP's UMD slot (busted) so I couldn't even check. Is there something in particular you're unsure of? Drake Clawfang (talk) 02:24, October 30, 2013 (UTC)

Edit Conflict: Missing images of Toad/Pig/Mini portrait of Biggs, Wedge, Palom, Porom, and Fusoya. The last weapon which can be obtain normally: Scrap Metal from the original FFIV. The remaining images are gotten from cheat codes. Fenrir9 (talk) 02:32, October 30, 2013 (UTC)

1. Sorry about the tables.

2. I'm having trouble turning a print screen image into a picture. Do you know how to do that? I plan to add images to the Dark Note section.

Final Fantasy Guided Tour[edit source]

Hey there, Drake Clawfang! My name is Doug and I'm a member of Wikia's Community Development Team! Us folks at Wikia have created a fun bi-weekly project called Guided Tours that we post over on These Guided Tours serve as a in-depth look at particular genres of media: books, movies, games, recipes, you name it! So far, we've done Guided Tours on Space Operas, Children's Fantasy, and Horror Games. At the end of the month, I suggested we did a Guided Tour on Final Fantasy!

I was stopping by to ask whether you or any of the other admins here would be interested in writing a little blurb about your experiences with Final Fantasy: What are your favorite FF games? What makes them popular? Best Gameplay features? Best Characters? Best Romance Subplot? Things like that. Along with a little write up about the history of the series, we'll have three users chime in about what makes the games great, and which of the games in the series they would recommend to new players.

What would work best in my mind, would be to have one person who's really into the earlier games (1-6), someone who's really into the later games (7-13), and then someone who's really into the online games (11/14). If you could point me into the direction of any admin has the best knowledge about each era, that would be appreciated. I'm extending this offer to you and any other admin who'd be interested, though we'll need to limit it to 3 users!

Let me know how this sounds and whether you're interested or have any other questions! Have a great one! TheBlueRogue (profile)•(talk)•(email) 01:15, November 15, 2013 (UTC)

It's certainly of interest to me, I'll bring it to the attention of the community for discussion. Thank you for the offer. Drake Clawfang (talk) 01:30, November 15, 2013 (UTC)

Theatrhythm Pics[edit source]

I've print screened several images from Theatrhythm, for the FMS and the BMS sections, but they can also be put into their respective pages. However, I'm unsuccessful inserting the images into the editor. Do you want me to to email them to you, or is their a solution?

Thanks Vapor Rub (talk) 13:56, November 15, 2013 (UTC)

What do you mean inserting them into the editor? Drake Clawfang (talk) 13:57, November 15, 2013 (UTC)

When I copy and paste, nothing appears E.g. File:TFF - Image - 200px etc. The images are saved as .png in the pictures file. Vapor Rub (talk) 23:53, November 15, 2013 (UTC)

You need to do File: followed by the name of the image and the extension. Then use a pipe- | - and then put in the size of the image. Another pipe can then be used to align the image left, right or centre. Does that help any? Tia-LewiseRydia - Young battle.png 00:05, November 16, 2013 (UTC)

Nope, no luck at all. I entered the File:TFF with my images, but when I copy and paste said image, nothing is pasted. How do I insert them into the TFF File? Vapor Rub (talk) 13:12, November 16, 2013 (UTC)

Did you try reading this hopefully up-to-date this Help file, Vapor?—Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) ∙ 13:27, November 16, 2013 (UTC)

Thanks Guys, I think I've figured it out Vapor Rub (talk) 15:56, November 16, 2013 (UTC)

Once again, thanks for the help guys. I'll be adding more images later on in their respective sections. I'll also be adding the Dark Note exclusive backgrounds in the Dark Note section, complete with table. Vapor Rub (talk) 16:19, November 16, 2013 (UTC)

Shinra News Q+A[edit source]

If you happen to find a story that seems relevant to Final Fantasy, but you're not a "reporter" for Shinra News, do you post the story yourself, or do you let one of the "reporters" know about the FF-related news? MechaKaiser, who else? (talk) 16:55, November 22, 2013 (UTC)

There are no such reporters. Anyone who finds a story can post it, just please do it properly. :) Drake Clawfang (talk) 18:20, November 22, 2013 (UTC)

X-XIII[edit source]

We've still got this slot free for Guided Tours, and we need to offer it to someone! My first thought to be honest is BlueHighwind provided he cuts back on the snark (lucky I took VIII!). JC Holy Knight has offered but he hasn't played XIII, so we're maybe a little limited. Ignore all that, Kaimi is writing it! Sorry for the needless notification. Wikia Community Podcast[edit source]

Hey Drake, it's Doug from Wikia again! Wanted to stop by to ask you on whether you were interested in appearing in our Wikia Community Podcast? Every two weeks, we record a new episode and feature a "Wiki of the Week" where we interview an admin from a wiki on our network. All you need is a microphone and a Skype account and we can record a 10-20 min segment with ya! Asking you questions about how you became admin on here, how you got into Final Fantasy, and your personal tips/tricks for maintaining a wiki. Are you interested in taking part?

We would need to record sometime this week, if you're willing and have any free time let me know! If you're not interested, the offer can also be extended to any of other other admins here :>

Guided Tour is going well, and is set to go live this Friday as well! Hope things have been well for ya

TFF[edit source]

I will be rearranging the abilities section in Theatrhythm e.g. Reactive and Proactive, and then rearrange each of the characters abilities appropriately. Is that alright? Vapor Rub (talk) 14:30, December 6, 2013 (UTC)

Sure, no problem. Drake Clawfang (talk) 16:02, December 6, 2013 (UTC)

Wikia Podcast is live![edit source]

Hey Drake, here's that heads up of the Podcast being live! You're featured in the Wiki of the Week section, which is about 33 minutes in! You can listen to the podcast on our Podcast Community Central page or through this direct link. You gave a great interview man, the entire team appreciated it!

The Guided Tour will be up later this weekend, and I'll be sure to reply here to link you with that as well. Have a great weekend! TheBlueRogue (profile)•(talk)•(email) 01:18, December 7, 2013 (UTC)

Thank you. Drake Clawfang (talk) 01:26, December 7, 2013 (UTC)

You should know...[edit source]

I'll have you know that removing Buy and Sell off the table is rather pointless, like not all weapons/armor are like that for a price depending on where you buy or find. Otherwise, it would rather be too confusing without Buy and Sell on the table. And G is just for short for gil. We can still put the word gil on some pages, but I had a good reason to put the letter G just on any table for any item list. Besides, think about that Final Fantasy III for PSP may actually have "G", but at every INN, the innkeepers still would had said "Gil" in the game. Now do you understand what I'm getting at here?(RocBlaze (talk) 06:16, December 9, 2013 (UTC))

"I'll have you know that removing Buy and Sell off the table is rather pointless, like not all weapons/armor are like that for a price depending on where you buy or find." - that statement simply does not make sense. If a weapon can be bought or not is already noted with how under the "Acquirement" column, weapons that can be bought are listed where they can be bought, if they are not bought, they are said to be Found somewhere. All that listing the Sell prices does is just that, tell people what the sell price is, and as I said, this is near universal for the series and does not need a column to be listed all down one page. A simple note at the top "most weapons sell for either half their purchasing price, or for 100 gil for unique weapons, with a handful of exceptions" would suffice, but even then I don't consider it needed. But as I said, if you disagree, you can take it to the talk page and look for other opinions.
"And G is just for short for gil. We can still put the word gil on some pages, but I had a good reason to put the letter G just on any table for any item list. Besides, think about that Final Fantasy III for PSP may actually have "G", but at every INN, the innkeepers still would had said "Gil" in the game." - again, denoting the name of the currency is pointless for these sorts of tables, no matter the game. Gil, G, GP, rupees, Kupo, coins, whatever the currency is, the weapons costs the same, Easy or Hard mode aside, so the name of the currency is irrelevant. Unless a game uses different types of currency, such as Dissidia 012 with Kupo and gil, we do not need to specify the type of currency used for these tables. Final Fantasy does not do this, so denoting the currency is unnecessary.
"Now do you understand what I'm getting at here?" - I've always understood, it's just that what you're getting at does not need to be gotten. Drake Clawfang (talk) 06:24, December 9, 2013 (UTC)
And why are you threatening me? You really make me sad now. I was just being nice with good informations, but you're like chewing me up and spit me out like you're beginning to hate me and you know I don't like that. Really, you can't just misjudge me like that. I played FFI before with all the items for Buy and Sell Price for a good reasons to edit, and yet you still don't believe me. I'm afraid I had enough reasons to give, but the least I need you to do is give me a chance and trust me. Until I expect for an apology, I won't edit this page anymore. (RocBlaze (talk) 07:26, December 9, 2013 (UTC))

Why not Sell Price on table?[edit source]

You ruined all my hard work for Weapons Sell Price I've done so much with all my heart and soul for readers, and now Armor and Items too? Why are you keep doing this to me? RocBlaze (talk) 22:26, December 10, 2013 (UTC)

I have explained to you carefully and patiently why we do not need those columns. Quit playing a victim. Drake Clawfang (talk) 22:31, December 10, 2013 (UTC)
No offense, but you only doubt me just because I just signed up for that matter. Don't misjudge me, I played Final Fantasy I-XIII games (except XI & XIV) and edit only for a good reasons, its the truth. Just let me add Sell Price and give me a chance for a change, please I begged you. Thats all I asked. RocBlaze (talk) 23:15, December 10, 2013 (UTC)
No, I am opposed to the addition of Sell columns because they are not needed and just clutter the tables even more then they already are. The rest of your post is of no interest to me because this is not a personal matter no matter how much you act like it is. Drake Clawfang (talk) 23:17, December 10, 2013 (UTC)
Fine. But whenever you change you mind, I expect for an apology. RocBlaze (talk) 23:24, December 10, 2013 (UTC)
Hold your breath. Drake Clawfang (talk) 23:28, December 10, 2013 (UTC)

Pardon my rudeness[edit source]

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that I am truly sorry for keep questioning you with all those pointless messages. You see, I was only hoping if you like me ideas, but oh well. So could you ever forgive me with no hard feelings at all? RocBlaze (talk) 02:14, December 11, 2013 (UTC)

Hey Drake, just wanted to drop a message to thank you for your excellent walk through of FFVIII. I thoroughly enjoyed it, as do I enjoy the game. So thanks very much for writing it, and have a good day :) NugLionheart (talk) 22:30, December 16, 2013 (UTC)NugLionheart

Guided Tour is Live + Expert Showcase[edit source]

Hey Drake, wanted to let you know that the Guided Tour is live! Currently sitting at, you can find the link to the post here:

Also, I wanted to extend the invitation for you to appear on a Wikia Expert Showcase. An Expert Showcase is a short of recorded discussion about a particular topic, and we use Skype with audio and video to record. It's usually a small panel of three folks, including a host (which would be me!). You did a kickass job on the podcast, so we wanted to extend the invitation for you to appear on it. Do you know a lot about other JRPGs as well? That'd be a big bonus.

We'd record for that sometime in mid-January, let me know if you're interested in taking part! TheBlueRogue (profile)•(talk)•(email) 21:19, December 17, 2013 (UTC)

I know a lot about KH, FF, Pokemon, and a bit about Disgaea, but that's about it. If that's still cool, I'd be happy to take part. :) Drake Clawfang (talk) 21:28, December 17, 2013 (UTC)

FF Guided Tour[edit source]

I'd like to congratulate you all that participated in the Guided Tour, for you did a great job! I liked it very much, the page is very well written and explains a lot about our beloved series. JC Holy Knight (talk) 01:44, December 18, 2013 (UTC)

FFXIII Images[edit source]

Hey, Drakey! How did you got yourself these shiny FFXIII renders and icon images? Extracted models from the X360 version?—Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) ∙ 17:29, December 19, 2013 (UTC)

The icons are from Spriter's Resource, they got them a couple days ago. The renders I found on-line through Google, but are limited to the party and random background objects, and the party renders have no animations and are stuck in a T-pose. I've contacted the uploader regarding getting other renders and will see if they know how to get animations going, in which case many more renders will follow. Drake Clawfang (talk) 17:30, December 19, 2013 (UTC)
Ah, thank you.—Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) ∙ 17:36, December 19, 2013 (UTC)

FFVI-2 The Game[edit source]

Hi, I just wanted to tell you that your Final Fantasy VI-2 story is great, I liked so much I decided to make it into a game, I have already started usig Rpg Maker 2003, but don't worry I'll give you credit for "Original Story & Concept", hope you don't mind. Maybe I'll publish a Demo soon, on common Rpg Maker sites, so be on the lookout. If you wish to contact me email me at

Re: FFXIII Images[edit source]

No, it's just Wikia, that doesn't always show the images properly, so I reupload the old versions and then put them back to normal: it usually works. Damn Wikia... --Pmbarbieri (talk) 18:25, December 22, 2013 (UTC)

Um, you don't have to. Wikia does that all the time for all sorts of images, just leave them and they update eventually, usually within a day. Drake Clawfang (talk) 18:28, December 22, 2013 (UTC)

Who made those FFXIII renders by the way? Is there a program that can be used to see their animations? --Pmbarbieri (talk) 11:11, December 23, 2013 (UTC)

I found them on-line through Google. The animations came with them. Drake Clawfang (talk) 16:11, December 23, 2013 (UTC)

No worries, Drake. I'm very glad that we're finally getting some good quality renders of those. ;) —Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) ∙ 19:47, December 23, 2013 (UTC)

I don't seem to find them anywhere though. What did you search exactly? --Pmbarbieri (talk) 20:19, December 23, 2013 (UTC)

I was looking specifically for FF13 voice files, but found a guy that had extracted all of it. Drake Clawfang (talk) 20:43, December 23, 2013 (UTC)

Can you link the site to me, by any chance? --Pmbarbieri (talk) 20:51, December 23, 2013 (UTC)

If you want the download links I can just link you or direct you to the DA profile of the guy who passed them along to me -_- Drake Clawfang (talk) 20:55, December 23, 2013 (UTC)

That's fine. Sorry if I'm bothering you, but I really like viewing the game models of my favourite games. --Pmbarbieri (talk) 20:58, December 23, 2013 (UTC)

No problem, I understand, I'd just prefer to ask rather than play 20 questions is all. Here's the links I was given, they're pretty big though, so get a drink. To open then, you need the most recent version of Noesis. Then open the .bin links via Noesis, and you'll be prompted to open the appropriate model to go with the animations. What I found is the high-poly versions of the characters don't like the animations, you have to use the low-poly. Hence why some of my uploads are in T-poses, no animations and the low-poly versions sucked, and Sazh's gun pairs each use a separate model since they transform differently, hence no uploads for them. Same for a couple of Hope's boomerangs, some of their meshes don't want to work like they look in-game. If you can figure out how to get this stuff working though and get the images I can't, awesome, plz do :). - party characters - misc objects - summons - weapons - enemies - NPCs - sounds - motion files - plug-in for sound files
And that's all of them. Drake Clawfang (talk) 21:12, December 23, 2013 (UTC)

The first two links are not right :/ --Pmbarbieri (talk) 21:18, December 23, 2013 (UTC)

I just uploaded one of the boomerangs. The other will require some more time to do. As for Sazh's guns, you can still take their textures and put them manually on Noesis, so you can at least upload the gun form, while the carabine form... well, we still have the Ultimania scans for those ;) --Pmbarbieri (talk) 21:43, December 23, 2013 (UTC)

Unfortunately no, the guns have transformation bits showing through the handles, and according to Noesis it's all one mesh so no turning them off. Drake Clawfang (talk) 21:48, December 23, 2013 (UTC)

In that case, I'll try to use Gimp to remove that part. Also, I have some problems animating Alexander and Hecatoncheir. --Pmbarbieri (talk) 22:00, December 23, 2013 (UTC)

Hm, not sure what to tell you there. They animated fine for me, though Alex's gestalt mode textures didn't work right. Drake Clawfang (talk) 22:03, December 23, 2013 (UTC)

Do you know if this guy also ripped FFXIII-2? Also, you'll maybe like to know I'm going to rip Lightning Returns: I found the procedure on how to do it with that specific game. --Pmbarbieri (talk) 22:18, December 23, 2013 (UTC)

I didn't ask, but here's his DA to get in touch with him - LR, sounds good. Drake Clawfang (talk) 22:20, December 23, 2013 (UTC)

In FFXIII-2 there are alternate textures for ALL the Eidolons, like a blue Brynhildr or a green Hecatoncheir. I think that will be very interesting to finally see them in full animation :D. Also, I'll try to get Alexander's gestalt mode: it's just a matter of playing with the textures, like many FFXII monsters.

One thing more: did you try to view Snow's coats? Do they work? --Pmbarbieri (talk) 22:28, December 23, 2013 (UTC)

Oh, I could get his, if I wanted. The problem is that the textures are their own model files, and the coats themselves are non-existent, the textures get applied directly to Snow. So while I could defo get them, it would mean opening the coat model file with the textures, screencap the texture in Noesis, paste into Gimp, drag and drop onto Snow. I just didn't get like it. Go nuts if you like of course, I make no excuses for my laziness. Drake Clawfang (talk) 22:38, December 23, 2013 (UTC)

No problemo, it's actually easier than it looks: I will upload them ;) --Pmbarbieri (talk) 22:55, December 23, 2013 (UTC)

Re: Snow[edit source]

Will remember for the future, although models do look prettier with shading turned on. Also, some models appear to have terrible hair problems, like Lebreau and Yuj: will need to figure out how to render them. I think that some XNALara models exist for them on the net: it's just a matter of finding links, downloading and playing a bit with bones, even for a standard 'standing pose' with arms pointing the floor, nothing unique. And sometimes these motion files don't have all cloth part properly 'motioned' so it looks quite weird.—Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) ∙ 23:49, December 27, 2013 (UTC)

Possible block evasion[edit source]

Hundred bucks says the anon who this thread was the one trying to blank Spoony's page earlier. Same focus on FFXIII, same "grr someone's wrong on the internet they must die" angle, and same vibe of "idiot looking for other people to call idiots". Plus the way he worded the post is blockworthy in itself, I'd assume. Lord Grammaticus (talk) 20:11, December 29, 2013 (UTC)

I blocked him, there isn't really any reason to let people spew vitirol on the forum. C A T U S E 20:28, December 29, 2013 (UTC)
