Serah Returns[edit source]

Will Serah be in Lightning Returns?90.201.254.112 19:21, January 7, 2013 (UTC)

Yes, her decapitated head shall be carried by Snow as a Companion Cube since he's gone insane and now think it's alive and he has to kill Lightning to save the world. He will be fought as a boss where he swings Serah's head by the hair to attack. If you've played KH3D, it will be like Sora's Link with the Cat Dream Eater. Apology[edit source]

Thank you for the clarification and the example. I'm still new here and didn't know what the issue was... I have more to contribute, but I will reformat before I do. Zupobafono (talk) 04:14, February 8, 2013 (UTC) (apparently wasn't logged in)

No problem. If you're not sure how to format the template I'll be happy to explain it and help you out. Doreiku Kuroofangu 04:17, February 8, 2013 (UTC)

Walkthrough[edit source]

Hey Drake, I've been playing through Final Fantasy IV: The After Years using your walkthrough, mostly to fix up the TAY stat tables on all of the playable characters that are unfinished, and I just got to Edward's story. In Part 19 you stated the rewards, and in regards to your investigation to the Level Band, the 1.25x increase in EXP counts for the whole team. Thanks for the walkthrough though. You're great!

We have Pyroclasm, Time Crush, and the Double Summons. Hundred Fists is a passive ability, no image can be gotten for it really.

You'll have them over the course of tonight. Doreiku Kuroofangu 04:18, February 10, 2013 (UTC)

In the meantime you could help me out with a D012 EX Burst image category, to separate them from the normal attacks. Doreiku Kuroofangu 04:22, February 10, 2013 (UTC)

Songs and Dances and other stuff maybe[edit source]

ACRudeBox.PNG

I've been doing with what's actually named. And what's Brave Ballad? Doreiku Kuroofangu 04:42, March 1, 2013 (UTC)

ACRudeBox.PNG

Well according to our translation page, Brave Ballad is "Chikara no uta"...which would actually be Sinewy Etude. What's currently on the Dimensions section there, Aiding Anthem, is "Tairyoku no Uta", which would be Mighty March from FF5 making that a recurring song. So yeah, I'm incompetent ;p. Doreiku Kuroofangu 04:51, March 1, 2013 (UTC)

By the way, my passing interest in the Skillset Navs has passed for the moment and it seems I missed Paeon, be a doll and handle it for me? :) Doreiku Kuroofangu 04:53, March 1, 2013 (UTC)
ACRudeBox.PNG

Oh no, what's confusing as hell is trying to track down the Japanese name of every single song when a good portion of the pages don't name the individual songs on their translation pages, and cross-referencing an old version of the Dimensions Bard page with the translation page because the English names are so different and the translation page doesn't note the English names directly, forcing me to check "okay Japanese name is blah blah which is power song which is job level 5 which is sinewy etude, what about TA2's song with a similar effect, damn no translation for it, well let's use the Tactics translation for the song of the same name and hope they're the same in Japanese too, I can't tell because GOD OUR TRANSLATION PAGES SUCK ANYMORE"...are you seeing how I got mixed up? Doreiku Kuroofangu 04:59, March 1, 2013 (UTC)

ACRudeBox.PNG

To list the status of our translation pages with regards to the names of Bardsong Songs - FF3 doesn't list them, Ff4 does, TAY doesn't, FF5 does, X-2 doesn't, XI HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, Tactics does, TA2 doesn't, 4 Heroes doesn't, Dimensions does, Theatrhythm HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Really, there are so many songs with similar effects it would not surprise me if there's mergings to be done, I really don't know because I can't check the Japanese names to confirm they're the same ability, a good half of the games I was checking data for had no data for me to check. The best I could do was Google "Final Fantasy <Japanese name>" and I'd usually find some sort of database listing the song's appearances in each game, but I know first-hand from doing it the site isn't fully reliable. I don't even know what it is you were doing with Dance. Doreiku Kuroofangu 05:11, March 3, 2013 (UTC)

ACRudeBox.PNG

Makes sense to me, as long as all the data is still located somewhere logical that can be linked to. I thought once upon a time that if it was lengthy enough to need it all skillsets in individual games would get their own pages, like Mog's Dances, but I guess that's something to be discussed at large. Kain's DS Render[edit source]

Umm hi Drake. I just wanted to ask if you could get rid of the white background in Kain's DS render and change it to a .png file? I'm doing a FFIV iOs walkthrough and the .jpg file extension will make Kain's character box look really ugly. And umm, thanks. Peace. s̅̅s̅̅o̅̅r̅̅c̅̅̅̅e̅̅n̅̅i̅̅v̅̅i̅̅d̅̅ 17:43, March 3, 2013 (UTC)

If it were that simple I'd have done it. Unfortunately as a jpg, simply deleting the white background results in jagged and uneven edges along the edges of the image, and Kain's hair, because its so close to white, ends up a total mess because the image editor I use can't tell what's background and what's hair. Doreiku Kuroofangu 17:56, March 3, 2013 (UTC)

Eww. Gah, this is ugly. Thanks anyway~ s̅̅s̅̅o̅̅r̅̅c̅̅̅̅e̅̅n̅̅i̅̅v̅̅i̅̅d̅̅ 02:26, March 4, 2013 (UTC)

Hey, um wait! You're saying that for the in-game DS render, right? I need the CG one, I forgot to point that out...sorry. s̅̅s̅̅o̅̅r̅̅c̅̅̅̅e̅̅n̅̅i̅̅v̅̅i̅̅d̅̅ 03:21, March 4, 2013 (UTC)

Hi Drake, Espritduo did it for me. Thanks anyway and sorry for bothering you. s̅̅s̅̅o̅̅r̅̅c̅̅̅̅e̅̅n̅̅i̅̅v̅̅i̅̅d̅̅ 04:55, March 4, 2013 (UTC)

Red Ifrit[edit source]

I'm wondering if you can make a second "tab" on Ifrit (Final Fantasy VI) for Red Ifrit or Thamasa when you have the time, I should mention that Red Ifrit goes unnamed in the game and within the data. I'm asking you because you once help me with the enemy template. I can't seem to pull it off and make it work. I've uploaded the picture already - FFVI Red Ifrit.png, and I can take care of the statistic data once its done. Thank you. Fenrir9 (talk) 05:58, March 4, 2013 (UTC)

I don't know if that's really thing right thing to do. It's not actually Ifrit at all, just a random Esper that uses a palette swap of him, with completely different stats, name (none), and place in the game. I would make it its own enemy page, although I'm unsure what we would call it. I suppose Red Ifrit with the "unofficial name" tag would do. Espritduo (talk) 09:58, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
I'm not sure its needed, as Esprit said it has no name, and its just a palette swap used for a short cutscene. Doreiku Kuroofangu 12:40, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
The thing is, it does actually have a full set of stats and all that. As far as the game mechanics go, it's a fully functioning enemy. You just never fight it in a real battle. I don't know how we handle those. I mean, we cover every "enemy" in FFIV, such as Bard, Girl, and whatnot, and even the developer's room "enemies" which often times aren't really fightable either, since many of their "battles" are just in-battle cutscenes. So I wouldn't say don't include the red Ifrit at all, I'm just not sure what we should call it if we do make a page. Maybe just throw its info box on the general FFVI Esper page where its discussed? Espritduo (talk) 13:23, March 4, 2013 (UTC)

True., hmm.. I'll try something on the Esper page a little later. Fenrir9 (talk) 13:41, March 4, 2013 (UTC)

Espirit makes a good point...still, given that "Red Ifrit" is a made-up name, not right to have it on Ifrit's page. It can have its own page I suppose, just remember to tag it as nameless. (a pity it has no name in the data even) But it can still go on Ifrit's page as a "See Also", like other palette swaps. Doreiku Kuroofangu 14:24, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
Actually, I've decided to place it on the Esper page of FFVI. I'll figure out something unless someones beats me to it. It'll most likely be under the Other Espers section with a full description of that Ifrit, statistic will go into a simple table, mentioning its nameless officially, madeup name was used to describe it, etc. While we are talking about espers Espritduo, does any of your books mentions why the summon orbs are different by any chance. Also, does the symbol inside that orb mean anything? Is it a Japanese character or something? A picture can be found in the trivia section of the Esper (Final Fantasy VI) page itself. Fenrir9 (talk) 14:50, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
Well, are there enough stats to do a full infobox like a normal enemy? If so, it may be better to put it on its own page. Also, gonna make a Gallery to show the Esper field sprites and add on to that Other Espers section. Doreiku Kuroofangu 14:52, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
The only difference between Ifrit and Red Ifrit are its stats (Level, HP, MP, Attack, Defense, Evasion, Magic, Magic Defense, Magic Evasion, Speed, Hit Rate). and the AI script. It appears that the monster infobox for GBA section uses the wrong label names (MBlock instead of Magic Evasion) according to the bestiary in game. It'll fix this right now. Fenrir9 (talk) 15:05, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
Right then. I'd say it can have its own page then. Doreiku Kuroofangu 15:07, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
The only problem left is the name. I go with "Esper (Enemy)" or "Esper (Boss)" or "Esper (Thamasa)", or something "Esper", since that is really all we can say with 100% certainty about it. When you don't have a specific name, then you should probably move up a notch and go by what type of creature it is. In this case, an Esper. As far as the summon orbs, I don't think there's any hidden meaning in them. The little squiggles inside them are not Japanese as far as I can tell, and nothing I've ever come across in any books tries to explain them. I think it's just different styles for different games. I believe FFVII has something totally different as well, both in color and the little squiggle inside the orb. Espritduo (talk) 15:26, March 4, 2013 (UTC)

Theatrhythm[edit source]

Hello, I saw that you were the one who organized the Prishe (and maybe Yuna) abilities in her Theatrhythm appearance, so I want to ask you if I can change her abilities board to the format used on the other characters or if I should leave it as it is now. JC Holy Knight (talk) 01:13, April 4, 2013 (UTC)

I haven't been paying attention to your work, I just knew you were adding abilities. Seeing the format now though, to be a dick I prefer the way Prishe is set up, it's more compact and leaves the lengthy descriptions for List of Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Abilities (which the articles ought to link to one way or the other). I'm hardly the authority to consult though, if you use IRC you could hop on to #Wikia-FF and ask the crowd there. Doreiku Kuroofangu 01:15, April 4, 2013 (UTC)

Date Mechanics[edit source]

You disagree with the source I had in the ff7 date mechanics article?--Christengo (talk) 09:11, April 4, 2013 (UTC)

On reflection I think you'll find that a supremely stupid question. Doreiku Kuroofangu 12:09, April 4, 2013 (UTC)

Well you don't have to be a colossal dick about it. >_> Still, it seems to escape me. Isn't that enough to imply that Aeris' date is canon? The same source (FFVII Dismantled) also implies that the romantic scene between Cloud and Tifa under the airship was implied to be canon as well. Is there some reason you have to believe that it's not true, or do you feel that it was unnecessary and irrelevant? --Christengo (talk) 22:11, April 4, 2013 (UTC)

What about "random crap" now? --Christengo (talk) 02:03, April 7, 2013 (UTC)

"Gameplay and Story Segregation"[edit source]

How do mean exactly? --Christengo (talk) 08:00, April 8, 2013 (UTC)

If a gunblade needs to reload or not is not addressed in-game, we just know you don't need to do it for gameplay purposes, which is unnotable because most ammo-type weapons never need reloading. Doreiku Kuroofangu 10:45, April 8, 2013 (UTC)

I was speaking mainly from a realistic standpoint, especially since bullets aren't used on any of the gunblades (save for the Lionheart gunblade needing Pulse Ammo to be used to make it). But if that's reason enough and the rest of the moderators agree with you... --Christengo (talk) 11:19, April 8, 2013 (UTC)

You can see bullets in the gunblade case artwork in the opening credits and Revolver does have a chamber for bullets.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 11:50, April 8, 2013 (UTC)

Agreement from other mods is not an issue if one is right on their own. Doreiku Kuroofangu 19:42, April 8, 2013 (UTC)

I was also referring to that case artwork. :/ You'd think ammo would've served an extra purpose in the game besides for Irvine's limit break. But then again, if the game made sense, it wouldn't be Final Fantasy VIII. --Christengo (talk) 20:07, April 8, 2013 (UTC)

FFV New Stat Resistance[edit source]

While looking at the bestiary picture that were currently uploaded earlier today, I spotted a new stat that was introduce in FFV iOS, or they made it viewable to the players at least, but this one doesn't appear in the GBA version. I just check to make sure. The enemy template would need to be updated to include a iOS tab with the option to fill out the Resistance. I tried to find info on Resistance on google and didn't find anything for it, so I don't know what Resistance means or what it does currently. I still suck at manipulating enemy templates... unfortunately... Fenrir9 (talk) 23:12, April 19, 2013 (UTC)

Nevermind, I found out that M. Defense is Resistance. Nevertheless, the FFV enemy template would need to be updated. Fenrir9 (talk) 23:23, April 19, 2013 (UTC)
Roger that. Are there any other changes you know of yet? I see there are new sprites, but are enemy stats otherwise the same Doreiku Kuroofangu 23:29, April 19, 2013 (UTC)Doreiku Kuroofangu 23:28, April 19, 2013 (UTC)

From what I see from those picture, all those enemies have the same stat. So I believe all enemies should have the same stats, I don't know why they would change it. Fenrir9 (talk) 23:33, April 19, 2013 (UTC)

Right. I'll make the template use the GBA stats for now, if we need to change it later we can. Doreiku Kuroofangu 23:35, April 19, 2013 (UTC)

About the Cloud Strife/Dissidia (PSP) revert[edit source]

Hi, you have reverted the Cloud Strife edit I had done, but you should see [1] and then you'll see its Triva section contain the line "Like some of Sephiroth's attacks in Kingdom Hearts, the Sonic Blade attack makes an appearance in Dissidia Final Fantasy as one of Cloud's Brave attacks" but ignore the last part of that line as the last part was made by me. I'm also not sure whether this triva is true or not. Smackdown599 (talk) 02:57, April 21, 2013 (UTC)

...I just explained it wasn't. Doreiku Kuroofangu 02:59, April 21, 2013 (UTC)

Oh thanks. It looks like the triva in Kingdom Hearts Wiki was not true then. I'll go over to KH Wiki and delete that triva away. UPDATE: Sorry I just saw that triva deleted already. Smackdown599 (talk) 01:25, April 22, 2013 (UTC)

FFX Weapons[edit source]

It's nice to see somebody that manage to rip the models for the weapons, we should catalog what weapon looks like what on the list of FFX weapon page if its already not there yet. Also, any chance of you being able to locate the image of Seymour's Staff within there? Fenrir9 (talk) 23:55, April 21, 2013 (UTC)

I got the models from Models Resource, sadly they don't label the weapons except for the specific ones. Seymour's staff I thought of, it may be part of his render, I'm gonna check once I'm done with the current images. Doreiku Kuroofangu 23:56, April 21, 2013 (UTC)
Looks like they don't have Seymour's model, sadly. Doreiku Kuroofangu 00:12, April 22, 2013 (UTC)

Dragoon (Boss) Tables[edit source]

I'm creating the article for Dragoon (Boss). How the hell do the tables work? Could you please help me with that and the respective sprites too? s̅̅s̅̅o̅̅r̅̅c̅̅̅̅e̅̅n̅̅i̅̅v̅̅i̅̅d̅̅ 08:07, April 22, 2013 (UTC)

What table? Sprites can be found on Kain's page. Doreiku Kuroofangu 08:13, April 22, 2013 (UTC)

Table! Uhm, it's an enemy page~ I mean, like the ones in Bard (Boss), or Girl (Boss, for instance. s̅̅s̅̅o̅̅r̅̅c̅̅̅̅e̅̅n̅̅i̅̅v̅̅i̅̅d̅̅ 09:37, April 22, 2013 (UTC)

If you mean the enemy template, copy the coding from one of those pages and just change the stats. Doreiku Kuroofangu 16:46, April 22, 2013 (UTC)
Oh dear..help.me.please? s̅̅s̅̅o̅̅r̅̅c̅̅̅̅e̅̅n̅̅i̅̅v̅̅i̅̅d̅̅ 19:02, April 22, 2013 (UTC)
What's the problem? C A T U S E 01:21, April 23, 2013 (UTC)
Those tables with tabbers look as tough as hell. I've never had a decent education of HTML to add to the trouble. And I only know the stats for the iOS hard mode. Someone else has to fill in the stats for the previous games, like the DS and GBA ones. s̅̅s̅̅o̅̅r̅̅c̅̅̅̅e̅̅n̅̅i̅̅v̅̅i̅̅d̅̅ 07:32, April 23, 2013 (UTC)
Filling out the fields is simple, copy the coding displayed under Usage on Template:FFIV Enemies and put the relevant stat after each "=" (the reason that there's not a separate game field for each stat is that aside from the DS version, stats are consistent). The iOS is based on the DS version, so put your stats in those fields. "DSlevel = whatever level your game says", and so forth. Just fill out the fields to the best of your ability, then put {{IncompleteTable}} at the top of the article, and someone will fill in the rest. Doreiku Kuroofangu 07:51, April 23, 2013 (UTC)
*runs away, hides in a corner* Maybe I'll do it...later this week...oh and by the way Drake, do you think that we should add the scripts in those battles? Dragoon, Girl, Dark Knight - the battles have a lot of relevant dialogue..so what do you think? Aaand by the way I thought we were adding in an iOS portion in those tables....wait, those can wait, Esprit and I have to produce the iOS enemy renders first. s̅̅s̅̅o̅̅r̅̅c̅̅̅̅e̅̅n̅̅i̅̅v̅̅i̅̅d̅̅ 07:55, April 23, 2013 (UTC)

Nah, the script is different for each version, and wouldn't add much. Doreiku Kuroofangu 08:26, April 23, 2013 (UTC)

I will be able to fill in only the DS portion, then...wait, I don't even know the HP and Level and stuff...gah, my brain's starting to hurt..these bosses aren't in the Bestiary..Anyway, about the scripts, Awwkay. s̅̅s̅̅o̅̅r̅̅c̅̅̅̅e̅̅n̅̅i̅̅v̅̅i̅̅d̅̅ 09:23, April 23, 2013 (UTC)

Here[edit source]

Dragoon (Boss) here. The DS render, I'm still working on it for Esprit to pngify. I'm also going to upload some iOS screenshots of the battle. I know nothing about the stats and the numbers, so all I put in were the locations and the abilities - I just put blanks for the rest because I didn't know anything. That's the best I can do. Thanks for all the help. s̅̅s̅̅o̅̅r̅̅c̅̅̅̅e̅̅n̅̅i̅̅v̅̅i̅̅d̅̅ 09:47, April 23, 2013 (UTC)

And by the way why aren't the FFIV characters' boss pages linked to their respective pages? Like Girl (Boss) wasn't linked to Rydia's page. I'm adding them all in. s̅̅s̅̅o̅̅r̅̅c̅̅̅̅e̅̅n̅̅i̅̅v̅̅i̅̅d̅̅ 10:19, April 23, 2013 (UTC)

Questions regarding All the Bravest[edit source]

  1. Are a couple of sentences all that can really be fit into the article? I feel like there's more information out there that can be put into words - unless I'm wrong, in which case just say so. :v
  2. Do you think we can change the links on their pages to direct to the appearance that the enemy is based off? i.e. if this is done, the portion of Ultima Weapon's current-as-of-the-time-of-this-post info that says "...based on its appearance in Final Fantasy VI..." would read "...based on its appearance in Final Fantasy VI..."
  3. The actual quotes from the game for certain enemies are a great source of humor to me. Would you agree?

Lord Grammaticus (talk) 05:13, April 24, 2013 (UTC)

All the Bravest is an insult to the Final Fantasy series, its fans, and an affront to human intelligence. I have no thoughts about it beyond this and no opinion one way or the other on how to cover it since I will never play it and thus do not know what would be needed to expand coverage. Doreiku Kuroofangu 05:20, April 24, 2013 (UTC)
  1. ...what other information? You tap the enemies and they all die. What more can you say?
  2. I'd prefer "...based on its appearance in Final Fantasy VI..."
  3. Yes.
But I agree with Drake's first sentence. C A T U S E 05:23, April 24, 2013 (UTC)

I also agree with Drake's first sentence, the only reason I gave the ATB enemies there own page is because they don't deserve to be on the "real" game's enemy pages (I found this quite insulting, for me anyways). As for the pages themselves, they are only "skeleton" pages, meaning that if you can improve them, then go ahead. Like Catuse167 said, there is no strategy. I've never played the game, and ∞% certainty will never play it unless it receives a complete overhaul and transformed into a respectable game (which I highly doubt will ever happen). Most of the info was found on a website containing a bestiary, Gil, EXP, Drops, etc (it took a mere copy and paste effort). Images that I uploaded (screenshots) came from google images while looking for ATB full spritesheets (Jobs, Valefor, Madeen, etc) for my personal use. Honestly, the only good thing about ATB is the sprites. I hope someday somebody rips all of them. I also prefer Catuse's number 2 sentence. Fenrir9 (talk) 16:10, April 24, 2013 (UTC)

Understood. Actually...
All the Bravest suffers from what I like to call Modern Mobile Gaming Syndrome: the iPod and iPad have been plagued with "freemium" games that are almost always transparent cash cows with lazy and uninspired designs. Hell, I could easily design something better, and that's due in part to my few (but still unfortunate) experiences with freemium games during my lifetime.
As stated by Fenrir, the sprites are the only positive, along with some of the quotes given - and now that I've seen a few more of them, I'm wondering if I should rethink that sentiment.
And though I'm aware that there isn't much to BE done, as you've all said, I will still do what I can. Thank you. Lord Grammaticus (talk) 22:01, April 24, 2013 (UTC)

Minigame[edit source]

Hi Drake, I know I'm endlessly pestering you for the past few days, but I have a fairly important question to ask. Was there a minigame in any version of FFIV (aside from iOS) that had a minigame that starts in the Feymarch, when you go to a house there, an eidolon will ask you to search for his 8 friends all throughout the three world maps? It seems to be nonexistent, I don't see any of the FFIV articles mentioning it. s̅̅s̅̅o̅̅r̅̅c̅̅̅̅e̅̅n̅̅i̅̅v̅̅i̅̅d̅̅ 09:15, April 24, 2013 (UTC)

Doesn't ring a bell. Doreiku Kuroofangu 16:56, April 24, 2013 (UTC)
Oh, so it's an iOS exclusive. What do you think we should call it? It can have an article of its own, right? s̅̅s̅̅o̅̅r̅̅c̅̅̅̅e̅̅n̅̅i̅̅v̅̅i̅̅d̅̅ 07:55, April 25, 2013 (UTC)
Given that I know nothing about it, asking the wrong person. Doreiku Kuroofangu 08:05, April 25, 2013 (UTC)
I'm the only person in the wiki who seems to be aware of it. I don't have an idea either..just asking what you think...oh and by the way, in this wiki's Library page, why isn't there a section for Crisis Core? s̅̅s̅̅o̅̅r̅̅c̅̅̅̅e̅̅n̅̅i̅̅v̅̅i̅̅d̅̅ 08:17, April 25, 2013 (UTC)

iOS Tab[edit source]

Could you add in the iOS portion codes in the FFIV enemy templates? Please? s̅̅s̅̅o̅̅r̅̅c̅̅̅̅e̅̅n̅̅i̅̅v̅̅i̅̅d̅̅ 17:57, April 25, 2013 (UTC)

LP[edit source]

I feel a little bad about what happened when I came out of nowhere saying that I want to be a contender to host the next main series LP after FFVIII. I honestly didn't know that you were also planning to do it. So because I'm still very new to all this, whatever happens with the mock LP I'm doing this Sunday, it would be best if you do the next main-series LP after Blue, then if the mock LP goes well I'll do the one after that. Is that okay? Jeppo (Talk | contribs) 20:31, May 3, 2013 (UTC)

Hey, don't feel bad because you want to do it, it's hardly official. I'm thinking once Blue finishes recording his FF8 footage and we know for sure that it's in the can, we can start a forum to discuss it and let the community decide. Drake Clawfang (talk) 20:37, May 3, 2013 (UTC)

Well, as I said, I am completely new to this and you're more experienced at it, so I honestly wouldn't mind if you were do the next LP. Okay if the mock LP goes well, and you want to put it to a vote later on, then I am perfectly okay with that. I just wondered if you are too. I will have to invest on some better editing software though. After playing the video back on YouTube, I've noticed some glitches that wasn't there when I was editing the video. Jeppo (Talk | contribs) 20:48, May 3, 2013 (UTC)

If by mock LP you mean like what Blue did with FF6/MQ, sure, no problem. Drake Clawfang (talk) 21:09, May 3, 2013 (UTC)

User:Zurebraveaxe/Final Fantasy VIII-0: Laguna Loire's Adventures[edit source]

Thank you for not deleting the page. This fanwork has find his place in the italian ff wiki even if there is not the fandom category. So I hope that it will find place here later, when the 3 movies will be entirely translated in English, so they can be eventually appreciated by people who know english. --Zurebraveaxe (talk) 21:54, May 5, 2013 (UTC)

CzarDragon and Kaiser Dragon[edit source]

The GBA version of CzarDragon is called Kaiser Dragon. Do we merge CzarDragon with Kaiser Dragon together or keep them separated? Of course CzarDragon has to be renamed Kaiser Dragon, but the problem arises since there's two Kaiser Dragon in the same game. One with the Dummy tag and the other with the Superboss tag. Any ideas which should the wiki go, merge or tag them? Fenrir9 (talk) 19:24, May 14, 2013 (UTC)

That is to say the dummied CzarDragon is still in the GBA version as "Kaiser Dragon" along with the new Kaiser Dragon? Drake Clawfang (talk) 21:41, May 14, 2013 (UTC)
I would say keep them separate. Kaiser Dragon (superboss) is meant to be a reference to the infamous CzarDragon/Kaiser Dragon dummy enemy. Beyond that nostalgia nod, they don't have anything in common, and are distinctly unique entities. CzarDragon is its own thing in the SNES/PS version, and is still its own thing in the GBA version, just with a new enemy added that is based on it. Its name, however, is now properly called Kaiser Dragon in the GBA version, as was always the case in Japanese. So at the very least, I suppose we should change the name of the Czardragon enemy page to Kaiser Dragon (Dummied Enemy) or somesuch. Espritduo (talk) 21:50, May 14, 2013 (UTC)
Agreed, if Czar was renamed it should still remain separate, as they are distinct enemies and Czar has enough infamy to warrant being on its own. Drake Clawfang (talk) 22:05, May 14, 2013 (UTC)

So, Kaiser Dragon (Dummied Enemy) would be the new name for CzarDragon article? I'm asking before I put this up on the Articles to Move Topic. Fenrir9 (talk) 20:24, May 18, 2013 (UTC)

Works for me. Drake Clawfang (talk) 20:26, May 18, 2013 (UTC)

FFXII images[edit source]

Where did you find those FFXII character images you just uploaded? --Pmbarbieri (talk) 23:01, June 25, 2013 (UTC)

Burned my FF12 disc to an ISO and ripped the models. Gonna be a lot more coming over the next several days, taking tonight to catalog them all, currently doing weapons. Drake Clawfang (talk) 23:04, June 25, 2013 (UTC)

Question: what did you use to view them? Because I'd really like to make some on my own. By the way, the you uploaded a Basch model instead of a Fran one ^^ --Pmbarbieri (talk) 23:45, June 25, 2013 (UTC)

Noesis, the most recent version (4.something) will automatically extract the files from a FF12 ISO. Also thanks, I'll fix that now :p. Can add them to the pages if you like. Drake Clawfang (talk) 23:47, June 25, 2013 (UTC)

I managed to rip the game, but it can't run the animations correctly. How do you do that? I desperately want King Behemoth and Fafnir ^^ --Pmbarbieri (talk) 01:16, June 26, 2013 (UTC)

Well, the animations are in .ff12c formation. How I did it with Noesis is, load up a model (this is how I got the party posing), then look for the .ff12c file in the same folder with the same name as the model file, drag it from your browser folder into the Noesis window, and click no to apply the animation file to the model. Drake Clawfang (talk) 01:18, June 26, 2013 (UTC)

How did you manage to fix the problem with the textures in the headless' weapons? --Pmbarbieri (talk) 11:25, June 27, 2013 (UTC)

For some reason when I loaded up those files in Noesis, their textures didn't apply. I extracted them to see if they had textures at all, and they did, they just didn't apply, so I dragged the extracted texture file into the Noesis window and there they were. The except though is the one shield with those rounded designs, it doesn't have a texture at all. I'm guessing it must be an early, dummied item to be untextured. Drake Clawfang (talk) 11:28, June 27, 2013 (UTC)

Interesting. I'll try that with the flans models too. How did you extract the textures? --Pmbarbieri (talk) 11:45, June 27, 2013 (UTC)

Export from Noesis. Drake Clawfang (talk) 11:51, June 27, 2013 (UTC)

The flans' models would be perfect, if the animation weren't so messed up. They only show you part of the movement, and that's also with the other models. I don't think there's a solution for that yet. --Pmbarbieri (talk) 12:08, June 27, 2013 (UTC)
