FFD[]
Hey there! Just wanted to let you know that if you need any enemy images for pages, or if you need to make any pages for the enemies you can go here: http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_Final_Fantasy_Dimensions_Enemies !! :) Kimlasca warrior (talk) 02:16, May 31, 2013 (UTC)
Howdy[]
I hope you come back, I enjoyed your walkthrough so far quite a bit :P. Oh, and nice job on the FFD pages. --Shockstorm (talk) 00:02, July 5, 2013 (UTC)
Talk Bubble[]
"I don't have a talk bubble, because there doesn't appear to be an outlet or page on this wiki that will give me a straight answer about how to design one."
Has nobody showed you/have you not looked at this? It's linked on your welcome template. I find it relatively simple to follow. Failing that, you can always do what I did; go into another user's talk bubble template page, copy the whole thing into your own template page, and tweak it to your liking. Tia-Lewise 21:31, November 19, 2013 (UTC)
Ah[]
That's actually kind of embarrassing, now that I read this. Thanks for the notification, by the way. Let's see if I can make one now. CylindrusAltum 08:10, November 21, 2013 (UTC)
Success! | |||
Well done! Now if you make a template at Template:CylindrusAltum, post it all in there, and then in future all you need to type in is {{CylindrusAltum|time=~~~~~|text=Whatever you want to say}} and it will all pop up without you having to copypasta the information all again. Tia-Lewise 21:46, November 21, 2013 (UTC)
Sweet! Thank you kindly, Ms. Lewise.
Categorising[]
Hi there, glad to see you got your talk bubble working. Just a quick reminder that the image categories you use should end in "Images." So for the ones you've just uploaded please update the category to [[Category:Final Fantasy Dimensions Images]], or I can do it for you, whatever works. Tia-Lewise 02:00, November 24, 2013 (UTC)
Ahh, no thanks. I wouldn't want to be a bother. Also, I suppose I have to learn how to do these things by myself, if I want to learn anything more about wiki editing. CylindrusAltum 08:49, November 24, 2013 (UTC)
Okay, wait a second. Maybe I do need help. Do I have to re-upload each image with the appropriate correction? Or is there some quicker way around that? 'Cause I have uploaded a looooooooot of images over the past year... CylindrusAltum 09:06, November 24, 2013 (UTC)
- No, all you need to do is go into edit mode on the images, find where you've written in the category, and amend it, no fuss at all. Tia-Lewise
11:47, November 24, 2013 (UTC)
I really do apologise, I know this is starting to seem irritating, but again, I have no clue what I am doing. On the image's page, I enter edit mode and the following information appears:
- Summary
- Licensing
- Screenshot|Final Fantasy Dimensions
How and where am I supposed to include the correct information categorisation? CylindrusAltum 21:40, November 24, 2013 (UTC)
- All you need to do is go into edit mode on an image as a reference. For example this.
- And while we're on this, you don't need to put two licenses on images. It's either Screenshot or Generic Fair Use. For the images you're using, just use Screenshot. EDIT- Please see the changes I have made to five of the images and use that. And please use the images on an article or they're likely to be deleted, so please make sure they are useful images. Walkthrough deletions[]
We're currently going through and deleting incomplete walkthroughs on the wiki, and weren't sure if you were going to finish yours. Your walkthrough won't be deleted if either a) you edit within a week or b) it's moved to userspace. Thanks, C A T U S E 05:34, November 26, 2013 (UTC)
If you're talking about the FFXIII-2 walkthrough, then no, I do not mind what happens to that - delete to your heart's content. The walkthroughs I've been focusing my attention on are Dimensions and TAY, which I edited just yesterday, so it shouldn't be those two. And thank you for the advance notice, I appreciate it. CylindrusAltum 23:12, November 26, 2013 (UTC)
- Speaking of walkthroughs, there's been an anon editing information in yours. I don't know if it was you before logging in or whatever, but if it's not you, do you want me to revert the edits? Tia-Lewise

TAY[]
Oho? I'm assuming you got the game if you're getting screenshots yes? Looking forward to seeing all of the images you can get! Hopefully you won't have to go back to any point in the game to get images, so if you can, get images as soon as you can~ Especially for areas you cannot go back to or for abilities that aren't carried over and whatnot~
| |||
Hey! A big thank you for those TAY iOS screenshots. Since I'm here now, and since you have the game, I just wanted to ask exactly where and when do the CG cutscenes come in? I mean, can you view them from the theater (or something) or can you never repeat them? If you come across them we would really love shots of those. I've only had a few from the YouTube videos. So, yea.
Wow, I never knew there was so much interest invested in The After Years. Xenomic, I certainly hope that I get all the all the pertinent images for upload before I pass them by, but as I was told just a few days ago, I can't just go snapping at everything I see and transferring them to the wiki; if they don't get uploaded to an article and don't seem to be of any use, then they might get deleted. Still though, I should be uploading plenty more in the days and weeks to come. And yes! Providing a list of images we need from the game would be an excellent provision for me, so if you aren't too troubled by it, that would be wonderful. And as for you, Divinecross, I haven't yet come across the CG cutscene (I think there's only one), but I'll continue in my search for it, and get those shots that you want. It wasn't played when the game opened, so I have no idea how to access it at the moment. I'll keep you posted.
Best things to keep in mind when getting images (several you can get at endgame, but it's best to get some first thing):
| |||
Thanks. There is a lot of uh...hype I guess, at least for the iOS users. We don't have much stuff on the iOS here so it's really hard to get info and all, yea yea. Oh, reminds me - could you upload shots of victory screens? And you have to contact JBed or Espritduo for the enemy renders, too. And if you have any spare time, we would appreciate it if you did Locations sections - see the FFIV Location pages..
Anons editing your walkthrough again[]
This time it's on this part. If it's you, I recommend you not edit your walkthroughs using an IP as this will confuse us when we look at the RC and see it isn't you directly, and will more often than not revert all the edits. If it isn't you...your walkthroughs have had a lot of anon activity, might I suggest asking for protection of it? Tia-Lewise 13:52, January 9, 2014 (UTC)
It may, and may not be anonymous editing, since I'm sure there are sometimes that I forget to sign in before editing, or rather, I've simply timed out. Thanks for the message, but you don't need to worry about it. I'll do my best to remember to sign in, and to reverse the edits made by others myself. CylindrusAltum 04:30, January 11, 2014 (UTC)
FF 4 After years walkthrough[]
Lunar Bahamut is very easy. Just use retlect on your party...
Just beat FF4 the after years. Your walkthrough helped me get through a few tough parts. Thanks!
- Wow, I can't believe I actually helped someone. You are most certainly welcome. CylindrusAltum 08:25, January 20, 2014 (UTC)
(98.202.75.14 06:36, February 1, 2014 (UTC))
Hi! Stumbled across your walkthrough when poking around about Lunar Bitchamut. Couple of things on the superbosses that make them significantly less super:
- Lunar Odin's Zantetsuken follows Cagnazzo's Tsunami rules. Any lightning attack will cancel it, which leaves only his heavy physical attacks as a concern, which you can Blink your squishies through. He's also weak against electricity, making Luca with Thor's Hammer utterly trash him.
- Same with Lunar Leviathan's Tidal Wave, which he indeed does. Again, any Lightning attack will work, even a Zeus' Wrath, which makes them hilariously easy to topple if you have even three or four. He's also weak against electricity! Huzzah!
- Lunar Bahamut Black Holes before beginning his countdown so recasting Reflect becomes a necessity. When he dies, he will immediately Black Hole + Megaflare with no countdown. I haven't figured out how to counter this, but Escape/Human Kite/Jump come to mind - if you can time them right. This is the REAL reason he's been hard for me, recasting Reflects after Black Hole when he's slowed isn't really that tough, especially if Palom has Doublecast. Also, if you cast Reflect on him, when he Haste/Shell/Protects it'll bounce.
- All 3 are also susceptible to Golbez's Taunt, so if you want you can Blink/Reflect him (a lot easier to bypass Reflect if you have a supply of Decoys), spam Taunt and just go to town with bands.
The After Years[]
Since you have the Smartphone version, would you be able to create pages for the Lunar Eidolons in the game? The links are here. If you're not sure what to do for the pages I could create the skeletons and you could fill in the table. Drake Clawfang (talk) 04:54, February 13, 2014 (UTC)
FFVI iOS Images[]
Hello! I'm just curious if you'd be getting any of the other various images for the iOS version of the game, such as ability images, statuses, enemy abilities, locations, etc. for the various articles on the wiki? Seeing as you're the only one right now uploading anything for the game and all that. ^^;
I will indeed. After I'm finished with my Walkthrough, I should be starting with the ability pages as soon as I'm able. And then the Locations, and then the statuses.
Gotcha. Will you be going back to get any missing images for the other iPhone games as well? Of course, those will be much later as that's a lot to go through but...thought I'd ask nonetheless. ^^;;
I will get to it, yeah. In due time.
I've been taking and uploading screenshots myself, of locations and of a few abilities, though abilities are a pain in the ass. I have stopped recently, mind you, to refocus on metatemplating, though I plan to resume once done. Do you have any screenshots of World of Balance locations? What's important mainly are images for battle backgrounds and enemy sprites. I don't personally know how to get those, not without using software to edit out everything but the enemy itself anyway. Also...on a side note, your "I refuse to accept anyone uses Android". Uh, what? I am one of millions of users of Android, and it's the most popular smartphone OS by far with 75% of users. Seeing more people with iOS devices means nothing. Another of our users, Tia-Lewise, also uses it (though hers is poor as she hasn't let me teach her how to upgrade it, and Samsung suck). Most Samsung devices use Android and I find it hard to believe you don't.
I would just like to say that I <3 your screenshots. Your device takes them at the perfect resolution, which is 2x base size (although it's possible it's full-size and SE 2x-d all their sprites before being put in game, either way they're sized up and anti-aliasing is used) and so they are easier to cut the sprites from.
If you could continue uploading screenshots of enemies, including random ones, it would be much appreciated. I can continue cutting out the sprites and putting them in the infoboxes. JBed (talk) 23:17, April 1, 2014 (UTC)
I don't have any screenshots for World of Balance Locations, but I might be able to get some soon if I play the game again. Battle Backgrounds I can acquire, since the Veldt still shows World of Balance background fields, Mog can create a few with his dances, and Kefka's Tower has a good portion of them as well. Does Floating Continent have its own background? In that case I can't get at that one yet. Oh, and no offence was meant by the Android remark; just the ravings of a man who disliked having to wait two months for the game to come out on a platform that was available to him while others played to their heart's content. Fanboyism, yes, that's what I'll blame. To JBed (talk), would Bestiary Pages be okay? They're basically the same. And to the anonymous remarker, thank you. I had nothing to do with it since I didn't design the device, but thank you all the same.
I don't know what the bestiary looks like (haven't seen any videos or images), but it should be perfectly fine, thanks. JBed (talk) 23:41, April 1, 2014 (UTC)
No offense taken at all, apologies if I came across as offended. I was just surprised you hadnt heard of it; I'd seen that before when checking your walkthrough but only had an 'opportunity' to comment now. It's understandably annoying, but that's Apple. Google don't have strict policies with Google Play at all, Apple are uptight, result is things take longer to be accepted in the store. Many developers have complained. Also; as an owner of the game, the bestiary images are absolutely fine, they're identical to the ones in battle, probably better because you don't have to crop out the party as well. If you don't want to upload every single enemy, feel free to let me know and I'll help. I want to find a way to get enemy sprites from the files itself though, so you may not need to. Don't worry too much about replaying the game to get the images. I was planning to do so myself...soon as I've beaten Dragon's Den :D but if you want to, feel free. It's probably down to whose device makes the better images resolution wise (though as you've been told, yours are basically perfect). Anyway yeah, I'm with JBed; nice on uploading the images so far and although they're mostly for your walkthrough, they're helpful. Keep it up! :)
^Your device doesn't take images at a good resolution. They're not as easy to work with as the 2base ones. And I looked to extract the images too but came out with nothing. JBed (talk) 00:01, April 2, 2014 (UTC)
That's understandable. I have to crop my images a fair bit for them to be good to display. I guess Cylindrus' would be preferred (at least for the enemies?).
Alright then, after I'm finished doing this walkthrough, I'll start up with the enemy pages. Oh, and you can just call me Alt by the way, if that's easier.
Sure, that'd be awesome. Though be careful, I'm looking into finding an easier way to do that (namely extracting from the files themselves). So I may do it that way, but also may not. Don't rule it out of course, just don't rush to take bestiary images right away, as I might find that alternative. There are plenty of other things you can do, if you want to help out (and it's awesome that you do). How about abilities? I've taken screenshots for Edgar's Tools but uploaded no others; Mog dances in particular would be nice. Other than that, if you want to replay to get the WoB images then it'd certainly save me a job (I was planning to replay VI for the same purpose and because I loved it, but also wanted to do something else as well so if you did it it'd be great), and there are two Edgar Tools that I didn't do. If you want to take images in battle too, that would also be super helpful to get images of the enemy abilities (ie: like this). Not totally essential, but it'd be pretty sweet.
Hi, sorry to say, but your Kefka final boss image is redundant as I already added a few (see Kefka (Final Boss)#Gallery). That's because if you haven't guessed already Kefka is my favourite character by far so I took tons of images :D The tiers, I definitely took images of...but I doubt I ever uploaded them. Other than that, keep up the good work ^^
Hello. Would you be able to get a screenshot of the full version of the overworld map for the World of Ruin?
| |||
FF6 Final Boss[]
A question, sir. Does the final gauntlet still have the animation of the party rising between the tiers and scrolling them on-screen. If so, could you grab some screencaps of the battle during those transitions, so I could composite together a full image of the tower? :) Drake Clawfang (talk) 02:32, April 4, 2014 (UTC)
Oh, you mean like this thing?
Sure, I can take some shots for you.
I'll try to get them done as soon as I can.
CylindrusAltum 06:57, April 4, 2014 (UTC)
FFVI Achievements[]
Hey, just wanted to ask, how many achievements do you have in FFVI? I have a few, but obviously I don't have them all (and don't know how to get stuff). I'm mainly asking because our article for FFVI achievements is empty and my device resolution can't get optimal screenshots to get the achievements. So I was wondering how many you had and if you could get images for us?
Anons editing your walkthrough again Mk II[]
Is this you again? If so, remember that such extensive anonymous activity will usually result in someone reverting all those removals. Tia-Lewise 14:21, July 9, 2014 (UTC)
No, that be not me. Some guy censoring my more indecent remarks. Thank you for the message, please reverse the changes. CylindrusAltum 12:22, July 17, 2014 (UTC)
- I've noticed that anon's still at it, so I've sent them a warning. If they don't stop editing your walkthrough could you please tell the staff because we'll have to start applying blocks. Of course, if they ask you to edit and you give the OK then that's fine but considering the nature of the edits I doubt that's gonna happen. -- Some Color Mage ~ (Talk) 22:36, July 27, 2014 (UTC)
- Will do. CylindrusAltum 22:46, July 27, 2014 (UTC)

Greetings. I have completed the walkthrough for Final Fantasy Dimensions. In doing so, I have obtained some info on stuff like treasure locations, boss attack patterns and such from CylindrusAltum's own Final Fantasy Dimensions walkthrough. I would like to publish my walkthrough on GameFAQs with your permission. Gittergutter (talk) 23:29, January 6, 2020 (UTC)
