Signing Posts[]

To sign your posts please put four tildes (~) next to each other: ~~~~ and don't use {{unsigned}} when signing yourself: it's not necessary. {{Unsigned}} is used only when an anon or a user forgets to sign their post, either with the four tildes way or by using the talk bubble and the usually the person answering that unsigned person's post should put the template there.—Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) ∙ 00:16, February 25, 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for the info! I didn't know what the {{unsigned}} was for, I was using it because it appeared on my first post, haha. =P Axcelaw (talk) 00:42, February 25, 2015 (UTC)
No problem! Glad to be of help!—Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) ∙ 01:49, February 25, 2015 (UTC)

FFRK Spritesheets[]

While I appreciate FFRK spritesheets upload, I'd like to ask you to upload them in such dimensions than reflect the SNES dimensions (typically a sprite has a height of 24 pixels so you should aim for that). BTW: where do you get these sprites?—Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) ∙ 23:26, March 12, 2015 (UTC)

I got the sprites from Square Enix's new 8bit Creator website. It's available both on 320x320 and 96x96 (counting with the blank spaces), and I thought the bigger the better. Should I upload the 96x96 version instead? Oh, and the sprites are all in one line, I'm "breaking" it in 3 lines for better visualization, since the original width (5760x320) is pretty large, I hope it's not a problem. Axcelaw (talk) 23:37, March 12, 2015 (UTC)
Multiple lines is a better choice in my opinion, so yes, please continue with it. 96×96px sound better so they should be uploaded; sometimes bigger doesn't mean better since they are just simple sprites and not 3D renders which are often quite rich in detail.—Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) ∙ 23:45, March 12, 2015 (UTC)
Got it! I already re-uploaded Deci sprites file and it does look better. Thanks for the message! Axcelaw (talk) 23:57, March 12, 2015 (UTC)
Yes, those status sprites aren't available in the site. I think the site developers included only the ones they planned to use in the sprites' animations on the home page (although only the walking and magic casting animations are being used). By the way, can you answer me a question? I haven't played FFRK so I'm not sure which characters are already included in the game. All of them are being teased on the official and 8bit Creator websites, but are all of them present in the game? Axcelaw (talk) 21:13, March 14, 2015 (UTC)
There are some characters who have sprites but aren't listed there, like Auron but, as I said, since I didn't play the game, I'm not sure if they're already included in the game or if those sprites are only present in the website. I talked about it with some people on the Wiki's IRC and I was told it's okay to include in the character's page, since the sprite is being teased on FFRK's official site and 8bit Creator, but I'm not confident enough yet to do it. Re: Mobius FF Ability Card Images[]

Yes, "Category:Mobius Final Fantasy Ability Card Images" seems appropiate although I would furth categorize them per rarity, like "Category:Mobius Final Fantasy Ability Card Rarity 1 Images" and so on. Also when uploading those images please don't use the star icon, "R" will be enough, it's just so we have a somewhat consistent naming system using Latin characters. Also if possible, PNGs please; I know JPGs are smaller in size, but they loose quality when in a resized form on an article and that doesn't look pleasant to the eye.—Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) ∙ 14:28, June 8, 2015 (UTC)

There's no need to delete the images if it's simple renaming, unless you're planning to upload them in a different format then yes, we should delete them. While being a moderator gives me some more rights than a regular user it doesn't allow me to delete files, only admins and up can do that.—Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) ∙ 19:16, June 8, 2015 (UTC)

CSS help[]

I got the answer to your CSS problem from the other day: your wiki isn't set to import the MediaWiki:Common.css. To import, add the following code to MediaWiki:Wikia.css:

@import url("/load.php?mode=articles&only=styles&articles=MediaWiki:Common.css");

Hope this helps?--Magicite-ffvi-ios.png Technobliterator TC 21:47, June 9, 2015 (UTC)

Ah, that explains a lot of things. It's working now, thanks a lot for helping a fellow wiki! =D But what's the difference between the Common.css and Wikia.css pages? I didn't get it. Axcelaw (talk) 23:46, June 9, 2015 (UTC)
No problem. Common.CSS applies ditewide, while Wikia.CSS only applies to the Wikia skin. As in, it doesn't show anything to people viewing in monobook.--Magicite-ffvi-ios.png Technobliterator TC 00:06, June 10, 2015 (UTC)
That's what I thought they were for, so it really is after all. I made a test here and it's working on Monobook too. I still don't get why it needed the import line in Wikia.css to show the colors on Wikia skin while Monobook works fine without it. Do you know any tutorial about HTML/CSS/JavaScript specifically for Wiki? Axcelaw (talk) 01:02, June 10, 2015 (UTC)
Sorry, didn't see this. Specifically for wikis, no, but this site should help you for those three in general. Specifically for this wiki, we have Help:HTML, Help:JavaScript and Help:CSS. I originally found learning code tough because there was no tutorial, then I realised I was looking in the wrong places, and I started to teach myself more rather than expect to learn by reading (I learn by doing, not reading). Hope this helps.--Magicite-ffvi-ios.png Technobliterator TC 18:00, June 10, 2015 (UTC)
Ah, W3Schools looks great, I've been waiting for vacations to read its tutorials. Good to know it's a recommended sites. I didn't know about the Help pages about web programming, gonna take a look on them. Thanks for the links! (and sorry for the late reply) Axcelaw (talk) 10:42, June 13, 2015 (UTC)

Magazine Images[]

I stumbled upon clear images showing Janne and Nikolai in their empire garb in Bravely Second. If you could, can you manage to make both these images transparent?

The image in question:

Hi there! I made Janne image transparent, check it out and see if it's good for you:
As for Nikolai image, the "status window" is over it, there's not much I can do about that. Axcelaw (talk) 21:13, June 19, 2015 (UTC)

More Images[]

Thanks for making that Janne image transparent. I appreciate it. Now then, i'd like you to make two images transparent. They are images showing Fiore DeRosa and Angelo W. Panettone. An image showing the two are below.

RE: DFF2015[]

Okay, then I'll move the images to the main articles. I'll leave the DFF2015 gallery as it is, but I think some images could be removed from it.
Thanks for deleting the images and the reply!

Hi Axcelaw,

I just started out playing mobius and was looking for a good forum or any guides and there is none. Stumbled upon a simple wiki page and there is good info, as you mentioned u need help, i am actually willing to help, however im not well-versed in japanese.

Let me now what i can help on, currently being very active in the game.

So far, my feedback will be if you could add in further info on the "Seeds" / "Attributes" / "Auto-Abilities" . Great job thus far.

Hello PoisonIX,
Sorry that I can't help, but I'm not active in the Wiki anymore. However, I noticed that Kimlasca warrior is working on it now. Even better, he's using the english descriptions (at the time I was working on the page, it was still a Japan exclusive), as you can see on his Sandbox. Try contacting him.
Sorry for the late reply, my last days were very busy. Oh, and thank you for the compliment! :)
