Yup, the "(Final Fantasy V)" notes a page just about the one from that game, and the only time we allow this is when there is a fight with that enemy.

And AJD, we're only changing the category pages, and making them into lists pages based on you making a comment on the talk page of the FFIV Enemy Image Category. You can only blame yourself. :D  ILHI 15:26, 7 July 2008 (UTC)

Developer's Room[edit source]

Does the Developer's Room appear in the FFIV DS? And are all the enemies the same as the other games? The DS bestiary doesn't have them, but then nor did the GBA one. Though noticeably, King of Eblan and Queen of Eblan are now, unlike in the GBA bestiary.  ILHI 12:12, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

Final Fantasy: Unlimited[edit source]

Nice work on creating the episode listing stubs for all of the Final Fantasy: Unlimited episodes. I just recently discovered the series a month or two ago, so I'll be trying to help out here with information about them where I can. Just added some basic details on "Fungus: Eternal Life." George B. (talk) 04:57, 7 April 2009 (UTC)

My pleasure, fellow editor >;3 The episodes were lying there waiting to be given soul. Now they await the bones, flesh and skin to make them complete. Sorry for the graphic description, and I bet many will be happy to see them filled out, thanks to you >;3 AJDurai 05:00, 7 April 2009 (UTC)

Red links[edit source]

Red links are preferred because a red link is more noticeable than a blue link. When I see red links, I make the page in full. If I see a blue link, I think the page is created therefore I don't bother.  ILHI 12:45, 7 April 2009 (UTC)

And this is for what issue exactly? I am afraid my capacity to comprehend your heightened perception is limited >;3 AJDurai 13:10, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
It is more obvious a page is in need of content if there is no page, than in expansion categories which no one actually searches (because our community sux). I assume you created these to hit 10000 articles? Never do that.
A needed page is more likely to be create in full than a page with the correct templates and no content be increased to full. It just is. And with a reason like "MOAR ARTICLES", no plz.  ILHI 13:15, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
Incomprehensible, truly! Does not "This episode is the eighth episode of something" content? Or are you pushing your own complicated standards to this simple wiki >;3 AJDurai 13:23, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
You can gather that without a page itself. The idea of articles is to give information. If the only information given is on the pages it's linked from then is it worth it?  ILHI 13:27, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
Ah, but you missed one significant act that happened thanks to the creation of these new articles. When the article pops up, a non-Gnoam editor - one who DOES contribute grander content than mine, fleshed out one of the episode articles with full fervor! It is a beautiful thing - bluelinks spawning content >;3 AJDurai 13:31, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
I do hope this happens more often. It is better than to see "minor edits" spawning every 0.25 seconds. Best be off with ye, ILHI; you've wasted seconds of minor edits already >;3 AJDurai 13:33, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
I edit to fix things and not for my ego. I don't care for the 10000th article, my edit count, or my status. My edits span across many pages because they're consistency edits. I'm still fine spending 15 minutes reformatting a table, or several hours creating pages like Imp (Enemy) or days creating Dragon (Enemy). "When a non-Gnoam editor" -- I'd point out something right here, but I won't go there. Instead I'll say this: Barely any editor here has the information. When the day comes that some of our contributors do finish these pages, do tell. Probably won't be in our lifetime as always happens with articles created for the sake of increasing numbers.  ILHI 21:46, 8 April 2009 (UTC)

People still believe in ghosts even when there are a lot of scientific explanations attempting to sway such thoughts. That said, you have acted as unnecessary as it is. About some Formatting[edit source]

Since I haven't managed to get ahold of anyone else, I was wondering if you could bring light to this for me. I just created a Cut page for FFVII (Cut being one of the 6 invisible elements in the game), and I was wondering if it would be worth it to do the pages for the other 5? Sorry if I'm bothering you on this at all ^^;; --Xenomic 03:54, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

Oh, I do understand what you mean on "Cut". This is how the element of "weapon type" effects a physical attack. Just like how "Guns" or "Shoot" have different damage properties with "Rods" or "Hit". This exists in all games of the series, and not just VII. "Cut" is not a hidden element: it is a weapon attack attribute >;3 AJDurai 04:00, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
Ahhh...I see. I just haven't seen it listed under any attacks in any other game except for VII. I kinda thought it was a attribute, but wasn't certain on it or not. So then, would it even be worth continuing the other pages then or what? ^^;; --Xenomic 04:03, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
I do not know what the others would say, but I will say this: be bold and continue to do what you do not doubt >;3 AJDurai 04:09, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
Heh. I like your style. Alrighty then, I'll keep doing what I've been doing, though granted it'll mostly be for FFVII, but hey, if I have to, I'll find a way to expand it later ^^:b Thanks for the feedback ^^ --Xenomic 04:10, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

create a section[edit source]

Hi. I'm leaving this message here on your talk page as requested.

As far as we can tell, there is no way to create a new message at a certain section, as you wanted.

The primary method for doing something like this would be via the CreateBox extension (help about it is here http://help.wikia.com/wiki/Help:Inputbox) and it does not have anything about sections, other then 'new section'

I hope this helps --Uberfuzzy 19:58, 25 April 2009 (UTC)

Hmm.....I like this idea of yours[edit source]

Doing what you did with the ambigious page for Haste, I think is a really, really neat idea and really helps flesh it out a lot more. It was kinda dull the way it was previously. I might give this a go with some other pages like that after I get done with this little project I'm doing over with FFX right now ^^:b Xenomic 05:25, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

While I do appreciate your being in favor with this idea, perhaps you would voice it in the appropriate thread? That way we can focus the comments to one location instead of cluttering them in various obscure locations. Oh, and thank you for your support >;3 AJDurai 05:35, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

Stop removing info from pages[edit source]

Please stop. You're not even leaving a link to the damn list of spells! You're just removing information from pages. Faethinverba volant 02:54, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

As noted on Template talk:FFXI Spell, Yuan, ILHI, and I all supported retaining the XI spell infobox, even if such a template did not exist for other games. You gave no warning to the fact that you were embarking on a purge of all the templates. They stay. 8bit 02:59, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
Also, Faeth, some of AJ's edits are converting former redirects to actual spell articles, since XI spells receive their own page if their name does not coincide exactly with another recurring spell, which is good. 8bit 03:01, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
This template is no longer in use. Please do not use it.

YOU HAVE BEEN BLOCKED!

You are hereby temporarily blocked from editing the Final Fantasy Wiki due to your failure to comply with the rules and/or the direction of the administrative staff. Please note that page blanking, addition of random text or spam, deliberate misinformation, privacy violations and repeated and blatant violation of NPOV (Neutral Point of View) are considered vandalism. If you wish to make useful contributions, you may return after the block expires.

I did ask you to stop. You ignored me. 8bit asked you to stop. You ignored him. Enjoy your three-day wikibreak. Faethinverba volant 03:03, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

PS. Yeah, I noticed that, 8bit. I was fixing my mistake and this guy kept on bugging. Faethinverba volant 03:03, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

Wow, that sure was hasty. I was just about to add wikilinkages to the list of spells. Also, just because I haven't responded doesn't mean I ignored your messages. I was on wikilinkaging the spells, and listing in the spells in the FFXI spell list. I had a whole Elemental Magic section filled and has just pressed Save when the block prevented me. "Congratulation", Faethin, you had just stopped the only major contributor to the list from completing the work. Also, I must have missed the part where the template was staying. Had I read it I would have left a response, you see >:3 AJDurai 03:08, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

I'd hardly call it hasty.
Being bold and being disrupting are different things. I hope the only major contributor to the list keeps in mind that the next time he decides to wantonly remove information from our pages. That and you're very unpleasant too. Faethinverba volant 03:21, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
AJ, why would you remove the info from the pages one by one, then go back and add the links to the list one by one? Would it not be easier and faster to add the links to the list as you remove the info? As for ignoring messages, if you don't reply well how do we know you're paying attention to them? Drake Clawfang 03:25, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
I was not disrupting. You have used the rollback function inefficiently and caused the result of a redirect. I was merely undoing it to the content filled diff.
And there was no qualm of that so-called "removal" before, until a discussion which I had obviously missed. Of course that was my fault, but somehow you should have noted that in the reversion of my edits. That was a better way to act when reverting.
"Very unpleasant?" *sigh* You just have to make it personal, don't you >;3 AJDurai 03:32, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
DrakeClawfang, my server is being a bit slow today, and I have a habit of closing windows accidentally. I am afraid I will lose the edit so I saved it one by one.
Also, I was editing the list. Naturally the yellow message bar would pop up, by only waited until I had finished - since in the past most message are not as pressing >;3 AJDurai 03:32, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
Therefore, I request that Faethin lift this block. It was not done for a manner that presses for a block; you mistranslated my undoing as "disruption" which is bad-faith on your part, and it does not help this wiki in the long term run; you have demotivated me to work on completing the FFXI Spell list, and leave one page of the wiki incomplete >;3 AJDurai 03:39, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
Removing information from pages without any kind of explanation is considered vandalism. Blocks are not punishments, they are tools to prevent vandalism. While I did misuse rollback (accidentally, and I was quick to fix my mistake) you still acted in a way that, in any other context, would've been considered vandalism (and I'm still talking about removing the information; that you undid my reverting has nothing to do with, it was merely the spark that set this off). Instead of explaining your intentions you merely mocked us as usual. You saw the message notice atop your screen and in your haughtiness you either did not relate your doings to it or you ignored it because you anticipated its contents. You're the last person in this Wiki who has any sort of moral authority to talk about bad faith.
Request denied. Take a stroll and have a nice day. Faethinverba volant 03:50, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
It was not mocking, that is the way I worked and had continued to be my signature for the past few. And I have always engaged the community when applicable and in my initial appearance the community was more or less forgiving.
Your block does not excuse the fact that you have judged me wrongly and emotionally. My edits have always been non-descriptive because they were all good-faith, non-malicious edits. I have always used the edit summary where applicable - especially when discussion was imminent. You have instead failed to tell me when such discussion that the template was staying had occurred, all you did was using rollback, thus translating that you look down upon me and my edits. If that is not bad-faith then I do not know what is.
Just because you think I have no "moral authority" does not mean you can act likewise. For the past few, I have noticed that you kept mentioning my username in some sort of judgmental way in various places in the wiki. You have also mocked me and do not think that I did not see this happening. Other users especially newer ones have also taken to see me in your viewpoint - which is not neutral at all. You have also acted in a haughty way towards other editors, especially in areas where you think you are the most knowledgeable - and you see it fit to call mine "haughtiness" when you have acted all the same? It is a shame that you have chosen to personally target me just because our edits were unagreeable in the past few.
I forward a second request. I would like to see my edits finished and in doing so I will acknowledge the discussion on the template's talk page. >;3 AJDurai 04:10, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
