Thanks for helping me out with the Crisis Core enemy pages. I appreciate it.
No problem ^^ I was looking at the Recent Changes and I thought all the pages you were creating could use a disambig (since they all have pretty much the same name...) I'll try to help when I can.
Dude! Thank you so much for adding the image for me. That save me a bunch of hassle. If you ever need help with anything, then don't be afraid to ask. I owe you.
Re: Crisis Core EnemiesEdit
I agree with about creating a new category. I'll get on that right now.
Also, thanks for the advice about the enemy names. I'll definitely keep that in mind.I have a feeling this will take me a week or two to write up all the enemies and upload all the images, but I think it'll be worth it in the end.
Happy Birthday Edit
It was your birthday yesterday, no? Well you deserve a stock term of good cheer: Happy Birthday!
Man! you beated me! well happy birthday!
Thanks ^^ One more year and I'll be able to
Are you a mod?
You're a mod now! I'd say more, but I'm really tired.
Welcome to the club, loyal disciple, congratulations!
Cool! Great belated birthday present. Thanks CSM!
Congratz 8bit :)
Congrats! I'd say you owe me for bringing it up, but that would be really, really stupid. You did the work, not me. Agian, congratulations!!
You Rock Edit
A weapons template!? you are a great person. We need more nav temps like that arouhnd!
Tactics Weapons Edit
Since I'm having a fever, I don't have to go to school and decided to take on the project of making FFT's weapon list. Problem is, should I merge the weapons with War of the Lion's version or keep them separate?
TA is different from FFT as it is from XII. Let TA and TA2 be on the same, as they share a lot of weapons and stuff.
EDIT CONFLICT: Henry, Nelo's talking about the PSP remake for Tactics, not Tactics Advance.I have played the PS1 version but not the WotL version, and so I don't know the difference in the weaponry. Personally, I would have one huge table with the weapons from the most recent version (WoTL) in it. You could then list all the new weapons in the WoTL version in a seperate section and note any name changes, like the format in the Final Fantasy Weapons article.
hey bmage i see you are expanding RW articles do you need any help please say yes please say yes
It depends if you have played Revenant Wings or not. I haven't played the game, so all I can do is correct links, add images, and improve grammar. All of the location pages could really use some help in terms of missions and storyline. Also, the enemy pages could use some help, like the Yellow Flan and the Earth Drake. Thank you for offering!
About the Walktrough Edit
Well, I read you message in my talkpage, If you could change the neames of the pages for me, I would be very grateful. If you can't do it, leave me a message in my talk page and I'll do it myself. Thanks anyway ^^
BTW: Congrats for your new rank!

Moving pages? Edit
The Geomancer, also known as the Elementalist....I was going to make a new page exclusively for the Elementalist, but then I saw that you edited the FFTA section of the Geomancer page to direct towards the Elementalist. From this action, I thought you would prefer that Elementalist remain as an alternate name of the Geomancer, but I suppose I assumed wrongly? I can make a seperate oage if you want...
I just fixed all the Elemntalist's links, as long as I don't have to revert them, you can move them anyway you want.
Echoes of Strife Ideas Edit
Diablo and I have been secretly plotting out ideas for the story, and we wanted to know whether you would be interested in hearing them, as you have been contributing significantly to the plot. However, as these refer directly to the ending, we were hoping to communicate by email privately. If you don't mind, could you send either Diablo or I an email with your address (hotmail if you have it), so we are able to address everyone at the same time?
Are your parents really religious, or do they just not like fantasy stuff? Seems odd they'd come to such an extreme conclussion from the email.
I would say that our family is more religious than most. We aren't Bible-thumping baptists or Jehovah's Witnesses, but we are devout Catholics. Another aspect of our family is that we are very, very, very computer-illiterate. Frankly, I think it's amazing that I know enough coding to edit on a place like this, mostly thanks to other users and the help pages. However, my mom isn't quite up to speed with all of that stuff, nor is she familiar with the Fantasy genre. We just got the Internet two years ago and she's still pretty lost. I don't know what the email said exactly, but my mom told me the word EVIL was written in caps. (So?)She wasn't really in a rage about it; she was just concerned that might be associating myself with the wrong people. When I told her about the story, she was still a bit "iffy", but.. oh well ^^
Considering that I think Jesus was a kind of a pussy and think that Napoleon would make a much more badass and interesting basis for a religion, I think I count as "the wrong people".
That is why you will be SMITED BY THE SERAPHIMS......oh, never mind. I'm glad you decided to show up BH: remember yesterday when I was asking for help editing RW sprites on Paint and I wanted you to walk me through it? I forgot what talk page that was on, can you direct me to it so I can see your reply?
I never gave a reply, sadly. Save the image, then right click on it and open it with Paint. Paint is really nice and straight-forward. The eraser tool is self-explanatory, use it to get rid of all the sprites you don't need. If you have to move things, use the Select tool to make a box around the sprite. Cut it out and paste it in the top left corner. To make the picture smaller, in the "File - Edit - etc..." bar, hit Image, then Attributes. From there you can change the picture size. If you screw up, Undo will save you. Once the picture is down to a single sprite, and small save it. You can upload it then.PS: Pope Alexander VI would make a great basis for a religion too.
Just read over the email again, and the fact that Yuan refers to me as Diablo didn't help matters. Also, evil is mentioned, but never in all-caps. It starts off with a capital (Evil), but that's about it.
@8bit: I have those kinds of probalems with my family too. Mainly my dad.@The Only Blue Left: I take exception to the Jesus comment.
Thanks for the tip! Invisible.ink 01:00, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
Revenant Wings Enemies/Espers TableEdit
What's with the new Location box? Doesn't the Missions section make that a little self-explanatory? Also, could you make me a link to the template itself? I can't find it for the life of me...
Sorry for the late reply; I was on a trip in the North Woods for the holiday weekend. Here's the link:
Okay, but do we need to have summon time in the tables too? I ask because that table ends up being used for non-Esper (like Ba'Gamnan) character tables since it has too many stats in common to make a separate one.
Meh, with all the changes to the template recently, maybe it's best if we leave the summoning time out. Pretty much everyone will understand that it takes longer to summon Zalera than Djinn, and an exact value isn't necessary.
Loyal Disciple Edit
I was wondering if you had checked out my video of the week lately...
Just watched it - or them, I should say. I've never seen Advent Children, and dancing Mad isn't my favorite song, (I like OWA better)....
<implore>AAAAH! NOOo! I SAID IT! DON'T EXCOMMUNICATE ME!!!! NOOO....MASTER T-T...</implore>
Well, anyway, I do like OWA better ^^ back to the movie:
I loved the way the opening music synchronized with the green flames. As I said, I've never seen AC, but the battle w/ Bahamut Sin was awesome. The weak part may have been towards the end of the first half when the music for "Lady" and "Rest" plays alongside explosions and motorcycles. That section of Dancing Mad is kind of happy-go-lucky anyway, you did your best to fit it in. The second half is great. I have always loved the last fourth of Dancing Mad, Kefka's Theme, and I thought it did very well paired up with Cloud and Seph's battle.I have no idea how to edit movies, so I cannot fathom how you were able to create this movie, but you did a great job synching crescendos in the music with explosions and high points in the video. I gave it a 4 :)
lol, thanks for the feedback. I personally thought the second half turned out the best, especially when the organ starts when Cloud gets stabbed, and he starts the limit break and BAM, electric guitar kicks in on the final attack. I worked hard to get that particular bit synched just right. :D
Do you recommend I purchase Advent Children? I've never been much of a manga fan, but some of the parts in the movie looked interesting. I just hope it doesn't cost anywhere near what stores are asking for FFVII ($60)
No, I don't recommend you buy Advent Children when you can watch it for free.
I thought it was pretty good. It's not gonna win an award, but you gotta realize that any movie based on a video game can only be so good. So graded on a curve compared to other VG movies, it kicked ass.
It also just occured to me you've likely played VII. Lol. I'm getting into the fanbase for it on my front, but while it's cool to see such a passionate fanbase, it's also sad to think that if Nomura had just said "VI" instead of VII when asked what game they should have done the Compilation on, all that passion and fanwankery could be for VI.
Think about that, what if he had? Would I have done my video with a DM remix to the footage from "Final Fantasy VI: Esper Rising"? Would we be playing a Shadow-centric first-person shooter or a prequel focusing on Terra's time as a Magitek knight? Now there's a world I would not mind being a part of...don't get me wrong, VII was great, but not as great as VI and Square-Enix is focusing so hard on milking the VII cow dry that the other cash-cows are being ignored.
The main reason, I think, is the chronological order. If the developers had come up with the storyline of FFVII and worked it into the SNES, and Celes and co. had been the first of the Playstation line, there just might have been a switch in prequel/sequel mania. Fangirls would drool over Edgar and Locke, there could be a sequel where Gestahl apprarently never died and comes back to destroy everyone, and so forth.
Personally, I would like a follow-up to FFIX.EDIT: Oh, and I have never played FFVII, mostly due to its cost, and maybe (just maybe) because you have been brainwashing me (lol)
Agreed. But if IV is any indication, VI will get its day in the 3D, sequel sun. And yeah, I mean, you seriously gotta ask "was it Final Fantasy VII that was a success, or was it the first Final Fantasy on the Playstation that was the success"? Was it the game itself, or the fact that Square had done said game on the Playstation? I think it's a bit of both, because VII was good but I have to wonder if they'd be saying the same things about VII as they would about any other FF game if it had been the first one in 3D.
Edit Conflict - Ah, okay. Well, it was pretty good. The big lull of the game for me was Sesshiroth, because honestly...well, honestly he spends most of the game running around (figuretively speaking() looking for the Black Materia, and not really doing much else. And he really was just a mama's boy with a messiah complex.
Yes, he kills Aeris, my fav character in VII, tragic. But he doesn't laugh evilly, he sure looks evil in the FMV, yeah, but in the game itself he lifts his arms up and proclaims "do not worry, soon the girl will become part of the planet's energy. All that is left to go north, the Promised Land awaits me over the snowy fields. There I will become a new being by uniting with the planet and...(cut off by Cloud)." Really, that is, word for word, what he says upon killing Aeris. Does he sounds evil to you? Cuz he don't to me. Delusional, yeah for sure, but evil? I mean, sure, Kefka was a nut too, but he was funny and he was killing things while being a psycho. Sephiroth's insanity also amuses me, but in a very different way. Read for yourself what drove him over the edge.
Thank you! Now it doesn't sound so awkward. And sorry for mistaking what section I wanted you to clean up, I told you Revenant Wings >.<
Jesus! That's an excellent job you've done with FFXII:RW (Locations)!!! If I had one of those medal of honour templates, you'd get it right away. Congratulations for being an excellent editor! =D
Thanks Henry :D I'm just glad I was able to learn a lot about computers as i was editing the RW pages. I'm most proud of the fact that I now know how to edit images on Paint and upload them (all those minimaps)....
What images?Did I miss any of those location images!? O_o' *whooshes to the folder where the pics are* Nope, I think they're all here. =
Never mind, you're awesome on the double!!My shitty browser doesn't show the maps, so that's why I didn't notice them...you've really done a great job! =D
I can thank BH for teaching me the wonders of Paint (lol). As for the little location images, I think the 3rd room of the Yapih caverns is missing, along with some rabanastre shots. I'll download them later when I have the chance.
I already found my next Vid of the Week, but all the same I had to share this with someone. This is kick-ass.
Template loop detected: Template:Video
Lol, sweet. I like when the bar is about to go over a line of mushrooms and I can predict: "Yeah, I know what that's going to sound like." What is that program called?
It's an off-shoot of Mario Paint called Mario Composer or something. I've seen M-Paint but never Composer.
I never even knew "Mario Paint" existed. Ah, the wonders of the Internet that I am oblivious to -_-
Oh, if you liked this, wait until you see my Vid of the Week this Sunday ^_^. I've been watching the thing dozens of times over the last two days or so and it's still making me laugh
Hold off there, loyal disciple, cleaning it up now. Just wanna avoid edit conflicts. ^_^
Yes master! I will place all tentative additions to the Golbez article in my Sandbox, until I deduce that a time slot is open for my addition to the true page.
Lol, thanks. In the meantime, I have a new Vid of the Week, and, have you seen the overhaul I've done to Kefka's page? :D
All done, knock yourself out. Thanks for waiting patiently.
Holy snaps O.o Very nice organization and additions, it's going to look excellent as the Featured Article. The Kefka article is even more so impressive. I think Diablo or someone else said it already, but the "Symbolism" section is very interesting. I've never read The Divine Comedy, but the parallels you highlight piqued my interest.
On a second note, I was looking through your userpage as I was waiting, and I noticed that you have another disciple in addition to me, RichardKaine. He seems like a nice person even though I'm cooler than him and I'm sure he'll be a great addition to Clawfanism even though I was your first disciple and I look forward to conversing with him and putting him in his place, preferably by the use of violence and assorted sharp metal objects.Oh, and did I mention the Kefka page was immaculately and infinetely marvelous? ^^
Thanks, it actually came about as a jealous whim, by which I mean I woke up one day and thought "how come Sessiroth gets such a nice page and Kefka is stuck with this?. So yup, spruced it up a bit. And Golbez, yeah, I saw that and I'm like "crap, and this is gonna be a featured article? Nu-uh". Also, the Kefka figurine? Talk about bad-ass, I want one!
Oh, and come July, if I forget to, remind my to nommie Kefka for a featured article. Considering it's his sprite laughing on the FA Template itself, the K-man's day in the sun and on the Front Page is long overdue.
Kefka hasn't been a Featured Article yet? *Checks records* Wow, considering CSM's love for FFVI, I'm suprised.
Hey now, I'm not the type to try and usurp the throne of those above me. That's how Duncan got his ass handed to him. No, rather, I just prefer to try and keep matters nice and civil.....And then hurl a flare spell through your head when your back is turned.....I mean....offer you cake and other such confections....I am no threat at all.
What's this about flare spells!!?!? I'll - oh wait, cake. I am placated. If you need any help and Drake's not around, you can always ask me :) Welcome to the fold.
Agreed, 8-Bit is a Mod, same as me. And for the time being I'm busy using my Mod powers to fight Evil on another site, and I'm not joking. Wish me luck, loyal disciples!
Which site is this?
Blizzforums, where somehow a Banned User got their account back and decided to host Spamfest '08.
Ah, Blizzard! I remember my Warcraft III days. I was pretty good at Defense of the Ancients too....anyway, good luck with the spammers.
I'm ashamed to admit I occasionally pop onto World of Warcraft and just putter around on it. It's a guilty pleasure for me, despite generally hating MMO's. Anywho, best of luck in your battle, o master.
The battle was one, another Moderator and I held off the wretched spammer until an Admin came to ban him. Let us celebrate by firing the Ban Cannon!
Have you cast your vote yet?
I'm vote number 16 for Freya. I don't think she should be losing this badly to Fran. Not to slight against Fran, from her appearence in Revenant Wings alone I think she's a good character. The bunny just sucks in battle though, and from what I can gather, no one really uses her in XII either. I want to buy that game soon...
Actually, having completed the game, Fran isn't all that bad. She's definitely fast and has good magic skills from what I've seen, but her attack just does too little. She'd be a good mage character if this weren't so much like an MMO and the gambit system so weirdly done and carried out. Still, Freya is a better fighter on the whole from what I've heard. Though I still prefer Fran due to her design....gotta love the bunny gals.
I'm not sure if I should drool a little or start cursing fanartists. Hmmm...
Careful, or Alecaus will come in and start berating you two. Anyway, this talk is really making me want to buy a PS2 and XII. Maybe in a year when the price dips below 80 bucks.
I think I just found the national anthem of the Kefka Nation. :p Some of the lyrics just fit K-man so perfectly it's scary. The song is called "Planet Hell", and considering what he did, I find it an apt name indeed.
I loved the intro. Loved it. It's like the orchestra strings from Advent Children's remake of One Winged Angel, the wordless vocalists of Revenant Wings' Scion and Judge of Wings theme, and the rock guitar of JENOVA all fused into one. That was awesome, if that could be fused into Dancing Mad somehow....I didn't much care for the lead singer's part though. I dunno, it wasn't very...awe-inspiring. Plus, I'm not a huge fan of heavy metal and screaming so raspishly that your larnyx implodes.
I know, I didn't care for him much either. But the female singer was great. Like I said, some of the lyrics are just so Kefka-esque. "save yourself and let them suffer". Sounds just like something he's say. Or "you challenged the gods and lost". :D
Caps Lock Edit
I USE THE CAPS LOCK BECAUSE OF HOW IT LOOKS. THANKS FOR THE INFO NEOBAHAMUT--NeoBahamut 02:49, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
THANKS FOR THE INFO. (NOW I EVEN UNDERSTAND HOW UPLOAD PICTURES.) :) NEOBAHAMUT--NeoBahamut 23:07, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
Filo and KytesEdit
I don't know if you saw it or not on my page, so, here is my response to you.
She may die easily, but, she also has high kill rate. I find that she and Vaan kill espers really fast. I don't see why Square-Enix made them main characters when they are with you from the beginning and say Fran and Balthier are main characters and not Filo and Kytes. It's just stupid. Haha.
I still haven't beaten it yet. Zodiark level is crazy... it's like all level 80+ espers and such. All of my espers and characters were killed so quickly. Haha.I wish I knew some stuff to add! But when I do, I'll make sure to add to it. :D
Why bother to get up-close with Filo when you can cream enemies from afar with Comet? I also like Ashe's buffing skills, particularly Regenga. What's your five-member party? Mine's Vaan, Penelo, Kytes, llyud, and Ashe.
I tried once to fight Zodiark. The Fire and Ice Drakes squashed me before I even got to the scion. And anything added to the RW character pages will be helpful. With the exception of Balthier and Vaan, no one seems to have info on them at all.
Wow, a different in my template makes a difference. Dark to Light. O_O
But my five party is all the main people. Haha. Vaan, Penelo, Filo, Kytes, and Llyud. ^-^I'm to attached to Filo. I like how she's the bubbly character in Revenant Wings. I always love the bubbly ones. Haha.
I love your new template! It's really good, coloring and all. Bahamut is bad ass :D
Thanks :) The artists should really have done a full body image of Bahamut (you know, him being Bahamut and all), but the face is awesome. And I love Mega Flare in game. Mass area effect and Disable ftw ^^
That'd be a good idea. Bahamut is pretty kick ass in every game he is in. Takes forever for him to summon in Tactics though! I like Shiva the most out of all the summons. ^-^ As you can tell from my userpage.
Whoa... I didn't know Shiva had all of those glyphs all over her body O.o Um. yeah. o.O Moving on....My favorite Esper in RW is Chaos. The quadrastrike animation is awesome, and a twin Flare with Kytes is always helpful.
Haha. I love Carnbuncle because it heals me so much. :D I always pick my third class esper based on the monsters that are going to be in the battle. ^-^ But I prefer Shiva, yep. Haha. Plus any Esper that is long range is pretty damn useful.
Famfrit > Shiva. I just dislike the fact that Shiva's weak to Fire, so using her comes with some risk. On the other hand, Diamond Dust is great, perhaps even more so than Mega Flare because it inflicts Stop and has a quicker recharging time.
The "we'd better keep a close eye on her" line from Vaan during the battleagainst Shiva and Penelo's responsive made me LOL. Not to mention the little heart Shiva blew.
Yeah, nice template. Though I liked the January-March one best...
NICE TEMPLATE. I LIKE THIS ONE BETTER THAT YOUR LAST.
Thanks :) The only thing that would make it better would be Bahamut facing right instead of left.
Hey 8bit, I was wondering if you ever go on IRC? I can't think of adding anything to add to the story right now, but the IRC is a great place to bounce off ideas. You can often find Nelo, Faeth, TSD, CoD, Hexed and I on it. I'm generally active between 2:00 - 12:00 UTC on weekends, and 5:00 to 11:00 on weekdays. PS: Purple is a very nice colour, I like the template.
I've tried to access it a couple of times, but everytime when it "checks my identity" is says "Erroneous Nickname" and logs me out. Do I need to create a seperate ID for the IRC?
You don't need an identity, that I know of... Unless you tried to use a nick (/msg Nickserv identify <password>) without registering first? I just log into IRC, no password needed. Hexed or Blue can probably help you, if it still happens.
Information on how to make a talk bubble is at Help:Contents#Talk Bubble
Information on the personal databox and other things about a userpage is atProject:Beginner's Userpage. And blue links are really hard to see in my bubble, sorry. I think I'll go change the color. If you want to see what a completed talk template looks like, go to Template:8bit's edit page.
