  • Pick up the treasure box, containing the Esunada EP ability.
  • Warp to your previous position.

Dead Dunes[edit | edit source]

  • Go up the ladder, and follow the upper path all the way around to a ladder down. Pick up the Demon Claw.
  • On the map, we'll go towards the right-most arrow saying "Down".
  • To do so, take a left in the room, another left, then a right.
  • Do not jump down yet, pick up the Pilgrim's Crux.
  • Jump down now, and pick up the Thorn of Speed.
  • Activate the red cactuar statue.
  • Go left (south), and strike the Earth Eater blocking your way. Make sure you have 6 EP.
Earth Eater Unleash a chain of Aero+ then immediately Guard against its attacks.

After a few more Aero+, it's Staggered.

Use full ATB of Heavy Slash.

Keep going with Aero+ chains again, and alternate with Heavy Slash.

The next Stagger will be elongated. Use all ATB of Heavy Slash, then Overlock and keep going.

Keep depleting regular ATB and Overclock with only Heavy Slash, and it will Stagger a second time.

Deplete the entire EP bar with 3 Overclocks.

It will still not go down, but we have depleted a large chunk of its health.

Make sure to guard against every one of its named attacks. For "I Don't Feel So Good..." you will regain much of your health.

At this point it is a war of attrition, but with careful guarding and successive Staggers, we'll take it down.

  • Go back, but take a left this time.
  • Pick up the Pilgrim's Crux at the end of the path.

  • Activate the red cactuar statue.
  • Run up and out of the ruins. Fight all enemies on the way, we want to gather EP.
  • When out, run towards the giant Chaos Infusion to your right and fight the enemy within.
  • Go through and fight enemies, preferably Gurangatch, until you have 6 EP.
  • Teleport to Aryas Village, Wildlands.

Wildlands[edit | edit source]

  • Run to the chef and you'll encounter the Wandering Man and a cutscene will play, automatically granting you the quest "Land of Our Forebears".
  • Teleport to the Research Camp.
  • Run up and speak to the Stubborn Old Man.
  • Get on the Angel of Valhalla and ride towards Canopus Farms.
  • You can try to fight Chocobo Eaters without any EP if you're feeling courageous.
Chocobo Eater At first, you may want to stick on the offensive.

Use Aero+ plentifully, mixing in a few Heavy Slashes here and there. Try to only Guard when he attacks, and not waste Magic Slashes.

Go all out after the first Stagger has been initiated, hopefully landing you a second level Stagger before the first is broken.

After these sequences, caution is a must. The Angel of Valhalla will heal you if your health is getting low, but the damage the Chocobo Eater dishes out is massive when not guarding properly.

Stat in Miqo'te Dress as long as he is on the offensive. Inbetween, focus on Aero+ to build full chains, before Heavy Slash.

With some patience you can get those precious 2 EP.

Hanuman Ω Hanuman Ω is strong. If at any point you miss a block, don't be afraid to Potion up. I won't judge, I used 2 myself.

Stay on the defensive, but alternate full Aero+ chains with some Heavy Slashes when possible.

While very strong physically, a Stagger will come eventually.
