Talk to Hope and exhaust all dialogue options.
Pick up the three Gift boxes, containing Mist Wizard, Blizzard Lv. 1 and Light Guard Lv.1, Prytwen, and Devil's Daughter.
At this point you can remove abilities from your Schema, so do so and the Challenge has officially begun!
We are forced to fight Zaltys again.
Unleash full-bar Thunder.
Overclock, and Thunder until Staggered.
Switch to Dark Muse and Attack until Staggered.
Keep Attacking until out of ATB, then Overclock.
Keep Attacking until defeated.
Travel to Nova Chrysalia through the Warp device.
Accept the quest "Whither Faith".
Check the glowing notes on the ground.
Speak to Thorton by the stairs and accept "Where Are You, Holmes?".
Run to the right gate, speak to Holmes, and run quickly back to Thorton.
Doing this quickly will ignore the walking slowly component.
Speak to the woman under the sign.
Speak to the woman by the gate.
Go back down the stairs, and climb up the ladder to the left.
Talk to the surveying man.
Jump across and open the treasure sphere containing the Fighter's Emblem.
Speak to the guard.
Jump down. Run to the left and speak to the fleeing man.
Run back and speak to the Inquisitor twice to finish the quest.
Chocolina has appeared, run over and speak to her.
Accept all Canvas of Prayers quest.
Go to the Outfitters, and buy Nocturne and Providence.
Sell all Abilities here.
At this point I had 2,560 gil. Run towards Old Town, but take a right up the stairs and jump to the treasure sphere to the left containing the Runic Ring.
Slash the boxes to your left to get Sparkstrike Lv.2 in a treasure sphere.
Slash the boxes to your right to find a Quill Pen on the ground.
Run up to Seger and buy the Shaolong Gui shell for 600 gil.
At the Forge, sell all abilities and medals if you've found any.
Don't buy anything just yet. You may find new enemies in this area:
Kill time by fighting enemies, but make sure to be back at North Station Plaza by 00:00.
Once you're there, at 00:00, SAVE.
Fanatics will appear, strike them a few times to fight them.
Guard against their Deprotect.
Their Stagger wave fills by guarding against their physical attacks, so don't be afraid to play overly defensive.
Don't be afraid to use Potions.
If you've defeated all of them and they haven't dropped at least 1 Sickle of the Faithful, RELOAD.
Its effects active when using Heavy Slash, and since we're only going to use 1 garb with that effect, we only need to get 1 Sickle of the Faithful at this point.
After you've gotten one, Save again. Good job.
After the 2 encounters I had used 2 Potions, 4 remaining.
Sell abilities and medals at the Outfitters.
Run to the Graveyard phone booth and pick up the phone.
Pick up all the ground shinies.
At this point we want to get stronger garbs, which leads us to the Miqo'te garb in Yusnaan.
But first a small detour. This let me arrive at Yusnaan at 02:15, which
is enough for a certain sidequest that cannot be completed after 3AM. If you are planning to use Chronostasis or are confident in your speed, take the detour as I will.
Otherwise, head to North Station and to Yusnaan. Run to the Avenue.
Climb the ladder to your left. Behind the boxes in a treasure sphere is the Twist Headband.
Run up the Gallery Steps.
Jump across and pick up the Magician's Token.
Continue to the North-South Corridor and purchase the Seedhunter Membership Card from Baird for 2,000 gil, giving you the quest "Soul Seeds".
Run into the nearby Chaos Infusion.
Defeat the enemy here, pick up the Chaos Seeds, and return to Baird to finish the quest.
Run back, and down the stairs to the right.
To the right in the depots, pick up the Thunderclad Cap.
Run through the alleys back to the North Station.
Complete any quest for Chocolina if possible.
Take the train to Yusnaan.
The time is 02:15 (for me).
We now have the Teleport ability, allowing us to use EP to warp to any station visited (and a few other spots). So that's neat.
Accept all Chocolina's quests to your left.
At this point, time is of the essence. You can either ignore all quest givers and enemies (as I will), or use Chronostasis for a personal challenge.
Down the stairs, pick up the Blitz from the treasure sphere.
Important! Read the flier next to the sphere regarding the chocobo girls.
Speak to the chocobo girl to the right of the flier.
Run down all the stairs and you'll find another chocobo girl on the left side.
Continue downwards, and you'll find yourself faceing a Personal Guard and a Flanitor. You can simply ignore them, however.
Run up the ramps to your right, and follow the path to the 3rd chocobo girl.
Run back, and at the Cactuar statue continue forward.
After the fountain, and the fortune teller, take a left into the ally.
Don't get stuck behind the treasure chest.
Dash up to the final chocobo girl. I'm not kidding when I tell you I spoke to her at 02:59.
If you made it you've been granted the Miqo'te Dress, one of the most powerful in this challenge. So save, you fool.
What makes Miqo'te Dress so powerful is not only that it is the only garb with both an offensive and a defensive ability, its Magic Slash also deals both physical and magical damage. So it's the perfect addition to your physical and magical garbs.
We only have 3 hours left at this point.
Examine the poster for the Chocobo Girl's Phone No.
Open the treasure sphere for the Mage's Gloves.
Run back to the fortune teller, and accept their quest "Free Will".
Run towards the Augur's Quarter, and fight the Flanitor on the stairs.
Empty ATB with Thunder, then use Attack and Magic Slash to maintain the Wave.
If you manage to Stagger it, it will begin to heal you.
Speak to the tourist and examine the ID machine.
Jump down the fountain-steps and grab the Thorn of Aggression from the treasure sphere.
Error: I forgot to :( Run down the stairs and open the treasure sphere behind the bushes on the left containing the Lapis Lazuli.
Run back to Pleasure Alley and speak to the tour guide (the crazy-dressed musician).
Purchase the Sneaking-In Special Ticket for 2,000 gil from him.
Get your fireworks stolen from the child with ??? above his head, by walking near him.
Chase him down and talk to him to retrieve it. Run back to the fountain and fight the group of 2 Flanitors and a Personal Guard.
Run to Cactuar Plaza and fight those as well.
Run back up and speak to the man in the top hat, and accept his quest "Stolen Things".
If the hour has passed 04:00, you will not be able to receive the quest.
Run to the market and strike the Schrodinger in the corner.
Schrodinger will be impervious to most damage before Stagger.
Empty Thunder, and use primarily Magic Slash to maintain the Wave.
Once Staggered, use Attack to defeat it.
You'll receive the Civet Musk.
Run up the stairs to the Glutton's Quarter in front and speak to Seedy's Owner.
Eat the deep-fried Niblet hairball and accept his quest "Family Food".
Keep to the left when running towards the station, opening the treasure sphere for the Promised Necklace.
Run up the stairs to the rooftop restaurant and speak to Gordon Gourmet sitting at the table.
Jump down and purchase the Fluffy Flan from the Terrace Cafe.
Run back towards Seedy's, but order the Pea Soup at the Veggie Parlor instead.
Behind you is the Fishy Flavours, order the Starfish & Chips.
Run over to the Stand n' Sip on the left side, order the Green Cherry.
Behind you is the Meat Grill, order the Beheburger.
Run back to Gordon Gourmet, but first order the Snow Special at the Banquet Maitre D'.
Speak to Gordon Gourmet twice and hand him the Civet Musk.
Jump down, run over to Seedy's, and hand him Gordon Gourmet's Recipe.
Run back to Gordon Gourmet and hand him the Steak a la Civet, completing the quest.
Jump down into the left-hand market.
Jump up on the container on the left, and pick up the treasure sphere containing the Wolf's Emblem.
At this point my time was 05:10. We essentially just want to wrap things up until the next day.
Run as fast as you're able to the Slaughterhouse (take a right at the Cactuar Plaza).
Speak to Alchemist Velno to the left of the gate twice, and accept her quest "A Testing Proposition", giving you the Nektar potion.
Pick up the Dispel hidden to the right behind a tree.
Run to the Forge in the Champion's Quarters, selling all abilities and medals, ending me with 12,410 gil.
Purchase a Liberator here, and the Quiet Guardian at the Outfitters. Consider that you'll need 5,000 gil for future garbs.
Run as far as you can towards the fortuneteller.
If the boy Pickett is near, you can let him steal the Father's Letter.
Let the day end as you stand in front of the Diviners.
