An imagined remaster of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII for the Nintendo Switch.

No NG+/Hard Mode exclusives[edit | edit source]

  • Any feature that is only available on Hard Mode, such as the forge upgrade, garb and weapons, are now available from the start in any mode.
  • Additionally, Hard Mode is available right away, with no need to complete a playthrough to access it.

Locked ability upgrades[edit | edit source]

  • The ability to synthesize abilities that are locked to garb, in order to improve them.
  • Due to this, unique abilities locked to garb start at level 1, with the ability to fully upgrade them.

Mini-bosses[edit | edit source]

  • Each area now has multiple mandatory boss fights prior to fighting the area's boss.
  • These may be beefed up versions of large enemies, but they must be fought regardless.

Balance[edit | edit source]

  • The Overclock ability is greatly nerfed.
    • No additional ATB is added. The player uses the same ATB values prior to activation, and no ATB is granted upon its end.
  • No variety of Potions exist. Instead, the player upgrades Potions in their entirety, which affect all Potions acquired.
    • A number of permanent Potion upgrades exist:
      1. Increased healing – Hi-Potion
      2. Grant Bravery
      3. Grant Faith
      4. Grant Protect
      5. Grant Shell
      6. Grant Vigilance
      7. Grant Veil
      8. Grant Haste
