Etymology[]

Urubutsin was a vulture god, king of the birds, in Brazilian myths, who once owned all the light in the universe, but refused to let anyone else see it. His brothers Kuat and Iae tricked him and clobbered him until he was forced to see sense. Urubutsin gave up half of the light and the Sun and the Moon were born.
