Underhill is a minor non-player character in the original Final Fantasy. He is the owner of the Caravan, where the player must purchase a Bottled Faerie from him to continue their journey. Underhill's appearance is most likely based on that of a desert sheik.
Etymology[]
Underhill's name comes from the first Lord of the Rings book, Fellowship of the Ring, where it is used as Frodo's traveling name to escape from the Dark Lord Sauron.
