Final Fantasy VI PlayStation Bestiary entry
The Tumbleweed, formerly called TumbleWeed and TmblWeed, is an enemy in Final Fantasy VI. They appear in the Doma Area and in the dinosaur island.
Stats[]
Battle[]
Tumbleweeds always attack in groups of four, and have a chance to counter any attack with Lifeshaver, which deals Earth-elemental damage and absorbs HP. They are vulnerable to Fire. They have the rare imp equipment piece Saucer to be stolen.
Strategy[]
Firaga and Fira spells are the best way to defeat them quickly.
Coliseum setup[]
Tumbleweed's Blinder can be disregarded in the versions prior to the Game Boy Advance, due to the Evade bug. In the GBA port and onward, the player can simply use the Silver Spectacles/Ribbon to prevent it. They should also equip the Gaia Gear to reverse Lifeshaver's drain effect.

Etymology[]
tumbleweed is the above-ground part of any of a number of plants that, once mature and dry, disengage from the root and tumble away in the wind. This is an adaptation that allows the plant to spread its seeds across the landscape.
