Trust Magic

Call forth alter-egos of some of Vana'diel's most storied personages to aid you on your adventures.

Description

Trust Magic is a class of magic exclusive to Final Fantasy XI, with which adventurers can call forth "alter egos"–doppelgängers of various well-known non-player characters–to travel alongside them and assist them in battle, much like party members.

In order to be able to use Trust Magic, adventurers must join the "Trust Initiative" by completing a quest given to them by a representative of the Jeuno Institute of Magical Studies in order to receive a "Trust Permit", enabling them to perform the trust exercise with others who have signed up to the initiative. Such representatives are present in each of the three nations, enabling adventurers to obtain a variety of alter egos with little effort. Certain characters' alter egos, however, are only available once certain prerequisites have been fulfilled, such as reaching a certain national rank or obtaining the alter egos of certain other characters. There are also characters whose alter egos are only available as prizes during Repeat Login Campaigns or seasonal events.
