The Triffid, also known as the Cowpoke, appears as an enemy encountered in the forests around Fork Tower in the second world, as well as in the areas around Ghido's Cave and the Guardian Tree in the merged world. It prefers casting Berserk on its allies, but is otherwise not a powerful foe.
Final Fantasy XIII[]
The Triffid appears as an enemy encountered in the Yaschas Massif and the Archylte Steppe. It appears as large flowers on the field, but comes out when one draws near. The Triffid is weak against Wind and Fire-elemental attacks and uses status attacks on the player party. It is relatively weak enemy, and best cleared out first when encountered alongside stronger foes.
Final Fantasy XIII-2[]
The Triffid returns as an enemy encountered on the Archylte Steppe. It can also be recruited for the Paradigm Pack, where it serves as a Synergist.
Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII[]
The Triffid returns as an enemy encountered in the Wildlands. Defeating 80 Triffids will cause the Triffid Ω to spawn in place of the last Triffid.
Final Fantasy XIV[]
Variants of the leshy family encountered in the Lakeland region of the First are known as triffids. Much like the other foliage encountered in Lakeland, they are distinguishable by their violet leaves.
