Travanchet
Travanchet is an Ascian antagonist in Final Fantasy XIV. He lacks a shadow. It is likely that "Travanchet" was a disguise or pseudonym, as "Travanchet" is not a member of the Convocation of Fourteen, though it is unclear which Ascian would have assumed this identity.

History[]
Final Fantasy XIV (version 1.0)[]
His first appearance is right at the initial quest from Limsa Lominsa's main storyline, talking with Emerick. He is shown to be a very skilled mage, and has connections with the Sahagin attacking Lominsan ships. He is later seen leading the sahagin attack against the Knights of The Barracuda Fleet.
At the end of the third quest, he steals the seal rock "key" from Sthalmann and Y'shtola using telekinetic powers before turning into shadows soon after.
Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward[]
Though he does not reappear in person, he shows up in a flashback from Mide revealing that he was the one who instigated the original summoning of the primal Alexander. In addition, he tricked Mide into placing a magic horn he stole from Y'shtola into the primal's core, promising her that this ritual would cause her deepest desires to come true.

Musical themes[]
Notably, Travanchet is the only character in the game other than main antagonist Nael van Darnus to have his own theme, played whenever he is on screen. This theme also accompanies all on screen appearances of the Ascians in A Realm Reborn and Heavensward.
