Sacrifices caster to completely restore an ally's HP and MP.
Description
Transfusion, also known as Pep Up, is a Blue Magic spell in Final Fantasy V. It sacrifices the caster to restore HP and MP to a target.
Transfusion can also be used by catching and releasing a Devilfish or Birostris.
Obtained[]
Transfusion can only be obtained using the Control ability granted by a Beastmaster, or by inflicting the Confusion effect on an enemy with that skill. The earliest Transfusion can be obtained is from Mythril Dragon near the Library of the Ancients area on the world map. It can later be obtained from Calcruthl (needs to be controlled), Gargoyle, Birositris, Devilfish (needs to be controlled), Unknown (#169; needs to be controlled), or Mover (needs to be controlled).

Transfusion has a low MP cost, but is extremely costly to use as it sacrifices the user entirely. If the ally whose MP is restored has Raise or Arise and can revive the caster, this mitigates this disadvantage of the ability. Even still, Transfusion should only be used as a last resort.
If the caster uses the spell on themselves, the caster dies, but recovers all of their MP.
