Zack Fair's first training mission takes place on the roof of a moving train; part of a digital holographic training simulation used to train SOLDIER members.

Another train can be seen at the Sector 1 Station, which links to the Sector 5 Slums with Sector 8. The train is called the MK93 II, however, a boy at the platform says that an even newer model, the MK100-90, is in the works. Before the MK93 II, the MK100-70 was Shinra's main locomotive. It was modified more than 5,000 times to keep it operational. By the time of Crisis Core, the MK100-70 has been abandoned in the slums' train graveyard.[1]
