A member of AVALANCHE and Cloud's childhood friend, Tifa is a skilled martial artist. Though shy, she harbors feelings for Cloud.

Tifa is a recruitable character in Final Fantasy Record Keeper. Initially, Tifa could only be unlocked through events or exchanging a Soul of the Hero item in the Hall of Rites for her Hero Record. With recent updates, both her and Cloud are unlocked among completion of the Mako Reactor No. 5 for the first time.

Overview

A strong Monk, Tifa was the first in her class to enter the Hall of Records by way of an event. She bears many of the profession's inherent traits: high HP, a solid Attack stat, and high Speed along with pugilistic attacks and skills. Gloves and claws are her preferred weapons as well, though a true match for her skill is somewhat hard to find. Even with a dagger, Tifa is not to be taken lightly on the battlefield. However, she is somewhat weaker defensively than most of the characters in this class and needs a strong piece of light armor to compensate for the lack of Defense and Resistance.

Abilities

Tifa can use Combat abilities up to rarity rank 5, Celerity abilities up to rarity rank 3, and Monk abilities up to rarity rank 5. Via Record Spheres, her available Celerity abilities increase to rarity rank 4 and Monk abilities increase to rarity rank 6.

Her initial Soul Break is Beat Rush, which at the expense of one Soul Gauge segment unleashes a flurry of punches on one target. The fist Grand Glove (VII) can grant Tifa access to Somersault, which at the expense of one Soul Gauge segment delivers an acrobatic kick to one target. Equipped with the Crystal Glove (VII), Tifa can use Waterkick, which deals three consecutive strikes against one enemy at the cost of one Soul Gauge segment.

After Tifa's level cap is increased she automatically gains the Record Materia, Fighting Master, which when equipped allows the character to deal more damage when equipping fists.

Equipment

Tifa can equip the following weapon types: daggers and fists. The fist Grand Glove (VII) allows Tifa access to Somersault. The fist Crystal Glove (VII) grants her Waterkick.

She can equip the following armor types: hats, light armor, robes and bracers.

She can equip accessories.

Behind the scenes

Tifa was initially unlocked as the First-Time Reward in the Shinra Building 26F-30F dungeon, from the Of Shinra and Legends Challenge Event. She was also recruitable in The Battle Arena, Hidden Resolve, The Lone Wolf's Lament - Cloudy Wolf, and A Night to Remember.
