Thunder (サンダー, Sandā?), also known as Bolt, Lit, Elec, and Thunder 1, is a recurring Black Magic spell from the Final Fantasy series. It is the basic Lightning-elemental spell and deals electrical damage.
Thunder is effective against metallic enemies, machine enemies, Water-based enemies, and Air-based enemies.
It is called Electro (Greek for "thunder") in Spanish, Tuono (Latin for lightning) in Italian and Blitz ("lightning") in German.

In the Easy Type version, the casting time was reduced to 0 and the spell was renamed Thunder 1.

Thunder Magicite can be found in dungeons or purchased at the Magic Goods stand in Rebena Te Ra. Thunder Magicite can only be used once, so players can carry from 1 to 99 Thunder Magicite.
