"Help" description

The Thief is a dressphere in Final Fantasy X-2 and Rikku's default dressphere. Thief is useful for classic abilities, like Steal and Flee, as well as other variations of stealing from enemies. The Thief dressphere has by far the best Evasion stats, as well as second best Agility, topped only by the Berserker, whose Agility stat is merely one point higher. The remaining stats are balanced, ranging from average to little above average.

The thief wears light clothing to move about quickly.

Yuna wears a white and red bikini top with blue and white ruffled sleeves with red gloves. She wears a white and blue miniskirt with red straps. She wears blue t-strap shoes with white ruffles and red knee-high socks. Her daggers are teal and silver-purple.

Rikku wears a yellow bikini top with tan ruffled sleeves and brown fingerless gloves. She wears a long red and yellow scarf and a blue headband, yellow bikini bottoms under a green miniskirt with a yellow pouched belt and blue and white ankle boots. Her dagger are red and gold.

Paine wears a white crop top with blue trim and red ruffled sleeves, a blue choker necklace, blue bikini bottoms over tight red and white shorts with blue trim and cutouts on her hips, white legwarmers and black and white knee-high heeled boots. Her daggers are purple and silver.

Yuna's victory pose is to jump, slashing the air, place her daggers on her belt when she lands, and put her hands behind her. Rikku punches the air as she staggers forward, before pumping both arms and holding a dagger in front of her. Paine places her daggers on her belt, wipes her hands clean, then puts a hand on her hip. In the HD Remaster version, the girls' battle lines when using a Thief ability may be delayed. This issue also applies to the Songstress dressphere.

Abilities[]

Mastering Thief requires 1,060 Ability Points. There is no accessory or Garment Grid that allows the player to use Flimflam outside of the Thief dressphere.

In the International and HD Remaster versions, Thief grants Mug to fiend-type creatures who possess the Attack command in their default command menu, as well as the Initiative auto-ability.

Command abilities[]

The Thief wields two daggers to deal two hits in one turn, making her useful for amassing chain. Thief's Steal and Flimflam skills allow her to steal items, money, HP, and MP from opponents, and inflict few choice status ailments as well. The Thief's Pilfer Gil is good early on to gain the gil to pay back O'aka's debt.

Final Fantasy X-2: Last Mission[]

The Thief dressphere is equipped on Rikku by default if the player selects her at the beginning of the game, and additional copies can be found inside the tower or bought in shops. It increases Accuracy by 1 point and Evasion by 2 points per each level. Rikku is the best choice for players alike in the beginning, as Thief is not only one of the fastest dresspheres, but also has the most balanced stats and possesses useful abilities and auto-abilities. Its regular attack range is one tile ahead of the character. Its health bar color is yellow.
