The Thief is a job in Final Fantasy Dimensions obtained at the start of the story, and is shared by both parties.
Appearance[]
The party is clad in mostly green, the universal color of a thief. However, in the iOS and Android versions, the characters wear their respective colors as thieves.
Overview[]
Thieves equip light armor, emphasizing evasion. Much of their armor and headgear come with status-boosting bonuses, namely to strength, speed, and vitality. For much of the game, their weaponry draw is limited to knives and bows; the former are accurate, while the latter provide back-row options with elemental effects. Later, they can equip boomerangs and katanas as well, which directly improve their physical power. All katanas deal effective damage to humans, while later examples include a secondary type. As a dedicated Job, Thieves are useful for item-hunting, can prevent back attacks, and can give a valuable speed boost. They contribute little in the way of Fusion Abilities, but do allow for early access to Nab Gil to help accumulate gold. Spending JP in Thief can easily be delayed towards the end-game portions, as equipment is available to both parties that replicate Item Hunter and Treasure Hunter, namely the Ruffian's Knife and Bauble Band.

Thieves have the highest natural Speed in the game, average HP, Strength and Vitality, and below average MP, Intellect and Mind.

Fusion Ability | Required Abilities | Use | MP Needed | Image | Notes |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Nab Gil | Bash + Pickpocket | Both | 6 | About as powerful as a regular attack. | |
Attacks an enemy and steals gil. | |||||
Battle Orders | Flee + Aiding Anthem | Warriors of Light | 6 | ||
Switches rows for all allies. | |||||
Steal Hearts | Steal + Aim: Heart | Warriors of Darkness | 23 | ||
Inflicts Confuse on all enemies. Sometimes fails and inflicts Berserk on self. | |||||
Life Divider | Mug + Pommel | Warriors of Light | 32 | About 25% more powerful than a regular attack. Heals for 7/8 of damage dealt. Healing is converted to damage against undead. | |
