Oh, shut up and help me remodel the The Tower of Babil (Final Fantasy XIV) page!
From the ruins of the Garlean imperial palace rises the Tower of Babil, a monstrous edifice constructed by Fandaniel and Zenos's enthralled hordes. While its exact purpose has yet to be ascertained, it is here that the would-be orchestrators of the Final Days await the Warrior of Light, who now spearheads a daring mission to infiltrate the tower and vanquish the Telophoroi once and for all.
Duty Finder description

Musical themes[]
"Garlemald Express", an arrangement of Garlemald's field theme "White Snow, Black Steel", plays at all times in the dungeon except boss battles.
Behind the scenes[]
Barnabas and Lugae originated as bosses in the Tower of Babil of Final Fantasy IV. True to its origins, Barnabas mistakenly attacks its creator as its first action in battle, prompting Lugae to retreat deeper into the tower. The appearance of Toad and Mini statuses during the fight with Lugae also alludes to their presence in Final Fantasy IV. The tower's function to act as a gateway to the moon is also used in Final Fantasy IV.
Anima originated as an Aeon in Final Fantasy X, with its signature attack Oblivion being used at the end of the battle's second phase.
Since Varis' remains were used to channel Anima into being, this essentially would mean that Varis was the fayth for Anima.
Etymology[]
The tower is named after the location of the same name in Final Fantasy IV, which in turn is named after the Tower of Babel. The Tower of Babel is from a story from the Book of Genesis in the Hebrew Scriptures/Old Testament/Torah, as well as other various ancient documents. The story tells of how early humanity was living in one city (violating the commandment to spread out and fill the Earth) and began construction on a great tower that would extend to the heavens so they could see God. However, God destroyed the tower and confused their language, forcing people to spread out among the Earth.
