The With gratitude for the journeys thus far, we look to the journeys still to come was the 2023 edition of the seasonal event The Rising in Final Fantasy XIV.
The event was started by accepting the Siblings Rising sidequest by talking to Kipih Jakkya in Ul'dah - Steps of Nald (X:10.1 Y:8.7).
History[]
Kipih Jakkya, was supposed to meet his brother Nhagi'a Jakkya during the Rising celebration, but he didn't show up. Kipih asked Warrior of Light to help her find Nhagi'a. After investigating, they discovered that Nhagi'a was doing work for the Wandering Minstrel, who was organizing an exhibition called the letter forest, which displays letters of gratitude and encouragement written anonymously. To collect letters from outside Ul'dah, the man dispatched a chocobo carriage with Nhagi'a as an escort. However, the carriage was late.

Kipih and the Warrior of Light go in search of the carriage and Nhagi'a. Arriving at the location, they find the carriage being attacked by bandits and the Warrior of Light scares them off. When the brothers are reunited, Nhagi'a declares that he needs to get stronger to win Kipih's approval. Nhagi'a then heads to Ul'dah with the carriage to complete his delivery.
Reporting to the minstrel, Nhagi'a criticizes himself for needing his help to complete his task. His obsession with doing everything himself does not please Kipih, who declares that she can no longer allow him to be an adventurer. If he wanted to remain one, he should think about why he embarked on this path in the first place.[2]
Nhagi'a explained that he was a burden to Kipih in the past and that he doesn't want to be a burden again. His motivation was wanting to become an adventurer, someone who doesn't need to depend on others, and he struggles to see why this is wrong. In search of an answer, he decides to consult Momodi Modi. The conversation with Momodi makes Nhagi'a realize that, at some point, his desire to prove his worth to his sister replaced his own reason for being an adventurer. Nhagi'a tells her that he now has an answer for Kipih and wants to show her one of the letters he has collected.
They headed to the Weavers' Guild, where she indicated that she had business to attend to. At the Weavers' Guild, the siblings open their hearts to each other. Nhagi'a declares that he will no longer be obsessed with doing everything himself, having remembered why he became an adventurer. Relieved, Kipih takes the opportunity to remind him of how, as a boy, he told her that he simply wanted to be a free-spirited adventurer who traveled the world and helped those in need. Sad to see that boy go astray, Kipih spoke harshly, but it was never her intention to deny him his calling, and she supports him wholeheartedly now as he continues on his path. Nhagi'a reveals that he is leaving for Limsa Lominsa and joining an expedition and Kipih presents him with a new set of clothes.

The Warrior of Light reports the events to the wandering minstrel. Inspired, he conceives a verse and begins to perform it. As soon as the first chord rings out, the Warrior of Light has a vision of being aboard an unknown airship, where he meets the mysterious Naoki Yoshida. The man thanks him for his support and shares his enthusiasm for what is yet to come. Shortly after seeing the phoenix, the Warrior of Light awakens from the vision and returns to Ul'dah.[3]
