Warrior of Light

"The Maker's Ruin" (神なき世界, Kami naki Sekai?, lit. Godless World) is a leitmotif appearing in Final Fantasy XIV, used as the main theme for the Warrior of Light.

It was composed by Masayoshi Soken, with lyrics written by Michael-Christopher Koji Fox and Eva Kappeller.

The Ultima Weapon

"The Maker's Ruin" first plays in its entirety during the first phase of the confrontation with the Ultima Weapon at The Porta Decumana The Porta Decumana (The Praetorium The Praetorium pre-patch 6.1), as well as the during the cutscene after defeating Lahabrea in a solo quest battle in The Ultimate Weapon The Ultimate Weapon.

Its leitmotif can be found in the Ultima Weapon's second phase theme, "Ultima", as well as in "Penitus" (the theme's first appearance), "Breaking Boundaries" (a theme appearing in each of the final job quests), and "And You! - A Realm Reborn Medley", among others. It appears for the second time during the introductory cutscene of The Final Coil of Bahamut - Turn 4 The Final Coil of Bahamut - Turn 4.

"The Maker's Ruin" is track 109 on the A Realm Reborn: Final Fantasy XIV Original Soundtrack.

"The Maker's Ruin" plays during the fight with Ascian Prime in the The Aetherochemical Research Facility The Aetherochemical Research Facility, and during combat with the Warriors of Darkness.

The song also plays from the twin music boxes (Star Ruby Music Box and Star Sapphire Music Box) crafted as part of the Heavensward Goldsmith questline.[1]

The song, arranged as a medley with "Torn from the Heavens", appears in Omega's battle themes, "Heartless" (心を持たぬ者 ~次元の狭間オメガ:アルファ編~, Kokoro o Motanu Mono ~Jigen no Hazama Omega: Arufa-hen~?, lit. The Heartless One ~Dimensional Rift Omega: Alpha~) and "From the Heavens", for the raid Alphascape V4 Alphascape V4.0 and Alphascape V4 Alphascape V4.0 (Savage), respectively. "Heartless" was arranged by Yukiko Takada and "From the Heavens" was arranged by Yoshitaka Suzuki and Soken.

"Heartless" is track 5 on the Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood - EP digital mini album and track 6 on the Shadowbringers: Final Fantasy XIV Original Soundtrack.

"The Maker's Ruin" also appears in the final Dark Knight job quest, during the battle with Myste the Delusionist.

"Heartless" plays during the battle against Omega-M and Omega-F in the second phase of The Omega Protocol (Ultimate) The Omega Protocol (Ultimate). It is track 50 on the Growing Light: Final Fantasy XIV Original Soundtrack.
