The Holy Flame's Gift was a seasonal event in Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis. Coinciding with the 2023 winter holiday season, this event takes place in a festive alternate reality of the Sector 7 slums created by a portal in the lifestream.
Synopsis[]
As the weather in the slums turns colder to signal winter, Tifa, Cloud, and the rest of the Avalanche gang are working feverishly to prepare a grand snow festival where they will hold a gift exchange at Seventh Heaven. Some busy themselves making plans; others are trucking in gifts by the armful, but Barret seems to have missed getting a gift for his daughter and goes out to fetch one. Meanwhile, Tifa and Aerith want to dress up as snow faeries, but the local shops are all out of costume gear. Fortunately, Jessie has a solution, having designed festive attire for both.
The troupe prepares to set out when a few more portals appear, carrying the party to a remote area of the slums where odd gingerbread creatures are scurrying off with their colossal gift haul. Having spotted one of the fiends, Cloud and company engage it, though they are left with a smattering of disordered gift boxes and Barret's "special" gift nowhere to be seen. And so, the party now scrambles to get it back.
As the party collects yet another batch of gifts, another cookie-cactus shows up to steal the haul. It is quickly spotted and tries to run back through the portal, the party following behind. They are sucked in and transported to Wutai, where Yuffie is also gathering gifts. After resolving a misunderstanding (Cloud and co. thought the "Giftaurs" were in league with Yuffie), more of the cacti appear and transport the entire party to their stash. From there, they begin handing out gifts to the citizens of Wutai.
Yet again, the party is drawn into battle with the living cookies. Can the holidays be saved?

This event was released with one or two missions opened each day for the first 14 days, and included a gathering mission that would complete itself once every 24 hours of real time. Playing the story missions would increase the capacity of the gathering box. However, playing certain story missions would require the completion of the accompanying Score Battles, which in turn required Score Battle Keys to enter and play. Players could obtain Keys by completing certain event missions in-game.

This event offered Green and Red Wrapped Gift Boxes as well as Holiday Cookies for exchange at the shop. Featured items included the Holiday Cheer greatsword for Cloud and the Holiday Cane rapier for Matt.
