A short time after Meteorfall, Vincent Valentine finds himself entrenched in the battle between the World Regenesis Organization and the faltering Shinra Electric Power Company's black-ops unit, Deepground. Gaia's ultimate fate may hinge on the outcome of the conflict, as well as Vincent's as-yet-untapped powers.
