The Binding Coil of Bahamut - Turn 2, located in the Lower Aetheroacoustic Exploratory Site and known by players as T2, is the second turn of the Binding Coil of Bahamut Raid Raid in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.

Story[]

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow. (Skip section)

At the depth of 912 yalms, you find your path blocked by Dalamud's internal defenses. Born of advanced Allagan science, these spherical constructs are still fully functional even after eras in existence, and will seek to annihilate all intruders or be destroyed in attempt.

In-game Description

The party continues their descent through the labyrinth of crystals created by Dalamud's fall after the Battle of Carteneau. However, they encounter advanced defense systems created by the Allagan Empire to prevent intruders from ever breaching Dalamud.

Spoilers end here.

Objectives[]

  1. Defeat the ADS: 0/1

Progression[]

The Sectors[]

The party travels through a maze of different rooms, or Sectors, with the goal of reaching Sector VI. Each Sector is guarded by a Node, and destroying the Node will disable an ability of the raid boss in Sector VI. As the party fights through the Sectors, the 13-minute (or 13-"click") countdown to enrage continues.

Sector VI[]

The party fights a much stronger ADS than the one from Turn 1 here. Aside from its many abilities enabled or disabled by the Nodes, it uses Allagan Rot, a ticking countdown that will wipe the raid if allowed to reach 0. As such, the player afflicted with Allagan Rot must pass it to another player shortly before the countdown, causing the timer to reset. Players that have already passed on Rot are immune, forcing everyone to stay alert for the passing of the status.

Alternatively, one can simply wait for the 13-minute countdown to complete, at which point ADS will begin to chain-cast Object199. This ability does heavy raid-wide damage and forces the healers to keep up Medica II and similar defensive spells, but because ADS will not use Allagan Rot or any of its other abilities, this is easily done.
