Story[]

Your pursuit of the archbishop has brought you to the Aetherochemical Research Facility, at the heart of the floating isle of Azys Lla. However, he and his knights are not the only threat for which you must be prepared; shortly before your arrival, the VIth Imperial Legion entered the facility in search of the secret to mastering primals, and their presence will serve to complicate matters. With multiple factions and their ambitions set on a collision course, your mission promises to be fraught with danger and uncertainty both.

Neurolink Nacelle[]

The party encounters the Ascians Lahabrea and Igeyorhm at the Neurolink Nacelle. Both Ascians will always be targettable and heal each other to keep their health equalized. They will each summon fire and ice orbs. Lahabrea's fire orbs explode in large AoE circles, while Igeyorhm's ice orbs detonate in donut circles. They can also tether two of their orbs together to create a bigger AoE.

Lahabrea will cast End of Days, a line stack marker that requires players to line up to mitigate damage, as well as Dark Fire II, placing purple AoE markers on all players. Igeyorhm will also cast Grip of Night, a frontal cone AoE.

As soon both Ascians reach 0.1% health, a cutscene plays in which he and Igeyorhm will fuse into Ascian Prime.

The Ascian Prime is much more dangerous than Lahabrea or Igeyorhm. At certain points in the fight, he cast Dualstar, combinding the fire and ice orb abilities of Lahabrea and Igeyorhm. Players must eye the tethers to see which orbs will detonate first and adjust acordingly.

Ascian Prime has a tankbuster, Height of Chaos, as well as a raidwade attack, Shadowflare. Ascian Prime will also cast Universal Manipulation which inflicts several status effects that detonate mechanics once they expire, including a stack marker, donut AoEs around all players, and chaining players in pairs.

Ascian Prime will become untargettable and cast Arcane Revelation, siphoning power from a large Arcane Sphere to power up an Ascian Prime's Power gauge. Untargettable shades of Lahabrea and Igeyorhm will attack the party during this DPS check. If Ascian Prime was allowed to reach 100%, his ultimate attack, Annihilation, will wipe the party Other than Ancient Eruption, which places AoE circles underneath all players, the mechanics will repeat until the boss is defeated.

Musical themes[]

The dungeon features a remix of "Heavensward" titled "Imagination", with "Guide us, O mighty Fury, Guide us to victory!" being the only vocals. The same theme is played in the Job Action trailer.

The theme played during while fighting Lahabrea and Igeyorhm is called "Thunderer". The song features a choir chanting "Conflictus" and "Impetus" and was composed by Masayoshi Soken.
