Oh, shut up and help me remodel the The Aetherfont page!
The Aetherfont is a main scenario Dungeon in Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker added in patch 6.4 "The Dark Throne". The duty takes place on the Isle of Haam in the Sharlayan archipelago.
Story[]
North of the Sharlayan mainland lies the verdant Isle of Haam, a land long protected by the Forum as an academic asset due to its abundant wells of aether. Yet with plenty often comes peril, and the vicious beasts that live there will not so readily relinquish their claim to the island's lifeblood. Will you secure the energy you need to breach the void—or be returned to the very flows of aether you seek?

Musical themes[]
"Starsbreath", an arrangement of "The Ewer Brimmeth", plays at all times in the Aetherfont except during boss battles.
"On Blade's Edge" plays when fighting Lyngbakr and Arkas, while "FINAL FANTASY IV: Battle 2 (Endwalker)" plays during the battle with the Octomammoth.
Etymology and origin[]
Lyngbakr was the name of a giant whale-like sea monster who inhabited the Greenland Sea, according to the 13th Century Icelandic saga Örvar-Odds. Similar to the ancient Greek myth of the Aspidochelone, Lyngbakr was so large that passing ships would mistake his back for an island; when their crew landed and disembarked, Lyngbakr would sink into the sea and drown them.
Lyngbakr's Bloop and Upsweep attacks are named after the Bloop and Upsweep deep-sea sounds detected in the Pacific Ocean by the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
In ancient Greek mythology, Arcas was the son of Zeus and the nymph Callisto. Arcas was the king of Arcadia and a famous hunter; one day while hunting, he came across his mother, who had been transformed into a bear by Zeus's jealous wife Hera. Not recognizing her, he shot at her with his bow. Zeus intervened and turned Arcas into a bear as well, before raising him and Callisto into the stars where they became the Ursa Major and Ursa Minor constellations.
