Thanatos (タナトス, Tanatosu?) is a recurring enemy in the Final Fantasy series.

Appearances[]

Final Fantasy III[]

Thanatos is an enemy fought at the Ancients' Maze. They are moderately dangerous foes, as their physical attacks can inflict a decent chunk of damage to a character, and in the 3D remakes it can attack twice in one turn. In addition, it can also attack with the Breakga spell to inflict Petrify.

Final Fantasy XIV[]

Thanatos is a boss fought at the Labyrinth of the Ancients.
