		I heard a rumor that using Leviathan will reset the step count of a Tonberry. Can anyone confirm that?

		It might be true seeing that Leviathan's Tsunami pushes enemies back.

Does anyone know if Tonberry can counter limit breaks. If not maybe worth adding as another strategy.

Pretty sure they don't. But I'm only going by the 2 Level 20 Tonberries I just thrashed with Renzokuken and Micro Missile. ~Shadow Catuse's great risks 00:40, November 1, 2011 (UTC)

Tonberry King[]

Will the Tonberry King appear if you kill enough Tonberry's in Ultimecia's Castle and don't already have the summon and if not do the kills in Ultimecia's Castle count towards the total number of Tonberry's you need to kill to make it appear? Oni Dark Link 21:34, July 3, 2012 (UTC)

According to this Tonberry enemies killed in the castle count towards Tonberry King, but Tonberry King won't appear in the castle.

I don't recall how VIII works. If you face Tonberry King and then escape the fight (if you can) --does that reset the counter? JBed 21:50, July 3, 2012 (UTC)
