Confirmed Music[edit source]

Why exactly does the playable music table, have some of the confirmed new tracks, but also old tracks, that were in the first game? E.g. To Zanarkand, Battle at the Big Bridge, etc? Why not just put the entire music from the first Theatrhythm Final Fantasy game?--TheUltimateKoopa (talk) 15:28, September 22, 2013 (UTC)

I've been wondering the same thing. Let me see if I can find a source to support the "full tracklist from TFF returning" claim. Assuming so, I think it'd be safe to remove the old tracks (seeing as those can be found in the Theatrhythm Final Fantasy article) and just list the new ones. —JustAnotherJosh talk 20:19, September 22, 2013 (UTC)
Of course, there are some songs in this game, which were not on the original 3DS game, but were in the iOS version. E.g. the Advent Children version of One-Winged Angel and You're Not Alone.--TheUltimateKoopa (talk) 23:12, September 22, 2013 (UTC)
I listened to the entire game rip of Final Fantasy XIV, and couldn't find anything that sounded like the one listed. And then I watched that video on YouTube of the versus mode, and noticed the logo. Hence the change--TheUltimateKoopa (talk) 03:22, September 25, 2013 (UTC)

New enemies confirmed include: Coeurl, Sahagin, Emperor, Golbez, Zeromus, Magitek Armor, Reno, Jumbo Cactuar, Braska's Final Aeon,King Behemoth, and King Bomb. However, there are two enemies that I don't know, one is a woman with a knife, and the other is a fat, many teethed thing (the scan is small to read). Can anyone identify what they are and what game they're from? The former has been features in several videos of the game, and the latter can be found in the latest scan. Type theatrhythm and click news to find it. Vapor Rub (talk) 13:14, February 19, 2014 (UTC)

Merchandise[edit source]

Found a news article online about static figurines being released for the theatrrhythm series this September- only three thus far though (Cloud, Tifa and Sephiroth). Hope this would be interesting.

TMG- Why? (talk) 18:22, February 20, 2014 (UTC)

Never mind, found em. The the "woman with a knife" is Lamia (I feel so stupid...), and the second enemy with many teeth is a Goobbue (never played XI...). Vapor Rub (talk) 20:45, February 20, 2014 (UTC)

New Info[edit source]

Regarding the scan that I mentioned, in addition to the new enemies, the default thirteen playable characters remain available from the beginning. New characters Y'shtola, Machina and Rem are also available from the start. Lastly, the Fat Chocobo now has a chance to appear in an FMS. Vapor Rub (talk) 23:43, February 20, 2014 (UTC)

Barrett and Edge appear as characters in trailer[edit source]

In this trailer, I found Barrett, Celes and Edge all appear at 0:15 Here's Edge, circled in red. It's a bit hard to see Celes because of it, but it does match up to her sprite as seen here Theatrhythm_Celes.png

And at the same time on the bottom screen, there's one grumpy looking Barrett hanging out

-Laoni (talk) 13:18, February 24, 2014 (UTC)

They also had the sale date on that video! :o 24th April 2014, I think. Took a screenshot, which I'll upload.

Update: I can now confirm this is the case- the game and the new 3ds will be released on the same day, which is the day I stated earlier. The 3ds apparently costs ¥23,000 according to the article I found. Also edited the main page, as there was two reference sections strangely.

Anyways, here is the article:

Italized Tracks[edit source]

What's with the italized tracks? Returning ones? This type of indication is actually gross here.—Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) ∙ 17:56, March 11, 2014 (UTC)

If nobody explains what the italics mean by tomorrow, I'm removing them. -- Some Color Mage ~ (Talk) 05:23, March 12, 2014 (UTC)

I have a theory of some sort, but even I do not know 100%- I think the songs in italics are new- as I have all the FFIII songs available in the original, and I know I have not got the ones in italics. TMG- Why? (talk) 07:53, March 12, 2014 (UTC)

Laguna[edit source]

He's not on the official website and I didn't spot him in any trailers. Can someone provide a source on where he's been spotted? Drake Clawfang (talk) 05:21, March 23, 2014 (UTC)

I could try, but I don't know where the user found it either (I think I know who added it (Vapour Rub, who also added Lenna, Galuf and Edgar to the page, and they turned out to be in there) but might be incorrect.) I have been trolling through Bing and Google news, went to the website and looked through trailers also. No sign of him yet. TMG- Why? (talk) 11:21, March 23, 2014 (UTC)

Found him~ Well, in the cards, anyways. From this trailer

And some more confirmation of Lenna & Galuf

I also found that FFI-III have no new representatives (there's no new card slots on the first page), FFIV only has Edge, FFV only has Galuf and Lenna, FFVI only has Edgar, FFVII has only Barrett. Because Laguna's on the end of a page, I can't tell if he's the last FFVIII representative or not. -Laoni (talk) 16:01, March 23, 2014 (UTC)

Works for me then. Thank you. Drake Clawfang (talk) 16:41, March 23, 2014 (UTC)

Trust me, as a fan of VIII, I know every character, and I knew straight away that it was The Man with the Machine Gun (I had to type it that way.) Vapor Rub (talk) 23:11, March 23, 2014 (UTC)

New Characters[edit source]

I'm usually bad with my predictions, but my bets for the next characters are:

VIII - Laguna (I was right)

IX - Steiner or Eiko

X - Auron (we know he's in it, but hopefully in his X design rather than his KHII one), Rikku (X-2 Rikku says it's her 2nd version, which means X Rikku will be in.)

XI - Judging by that XI NPC popularity poll, I'd say Lilisette, otherwise none.

XII - Fran or Basch

XIII - Vanille or Sazh

XIII-2 - Noel, otherwise None.

XIV - Minfilia or Thancred.

What do you guys think? BTW, it'd be cool if XV characters appeared as DLC. Vapor Rub (talk) 23:31, March 23, 2014 (UTC)

Someone has added Auron now. Any official evidence of that? Drake Clawfang (talk) 02:32, March 24, 2014 (UTC)
I think I have seen Auron in the trailers- plus he isn't exactly 'new' as per say- he was in TFF for iOS systems- he has a chibi form and everything... Chibi!Auron sounds adorable! Anyways, he is similar to Celes, Tifa, Rinoa, Garnet, Balthier, Hope, Serah and Ramza in that regard. And also, Vapour Rub, my gut instinct told me that Kuja would be the new character for IX- not official, but just gut instincts. TMG- Why? (talk) 09:11, March 24, 2014 (UTC)

Eiko, Lilisette and Auron all show up in the final trailer, as well as Male Clavat from Crystal Chronicles.

Eiko is shown in battle at 1:15, and later is focused on as a card. Lilisette is one of the player cards fused into Locke at 2:33 (You can see her name on the bottom screen) Auron's shown in the book of Collectacards at 2:49 -Laoni (talk) 07:18, April 1, 2014 (UTC)

I spotted Vanille's icon on the scan which confirmed Eiko, Jecht, Fran and Noel. On the image below the characters, the quest medley screenshot shows the player's icon. However, the full scan is now strangely gone...'~' Vapor Rub (talk) 13:43, April 3, 2014 (UTC)

You mean this scan? You can see Vanille's pigtails in the small icon too I think. Kimlasca warrior (talk) 13:49, April 3, 2014 (UTC)
Ah, now that you say that, the mini icon does look like Vanille- Vapour, thank you for answering my query! :D TMG- Why? (talk) 13:57, April 3, 2014 (UTC)

Final Trailer + Complete Works[edit source]

The final trailer has been released, confirming several new songs and characters which I've updated. In addition, another video which features the confirmed songs called Complete Works Vol. 1 features brief gameplay of the confirmed FMS and BMS from FF-FFVII. The next complete works is likely to be released in a few weeks, or after the next batch of characters are revealed.

BTW in the final trailer, the characters that were walking in front of the gameplay were all the main representatives of the series featured in the game, including spin-offs.

Due to the major changes in the FMS and BMS for returning songs, I will be updating their respective sections with the new locations, along with the new songs, so if you see a change in the FMS, BMS, and EMS sections, they will have been updated to Curtain Call format to accommodate new changes. Vapor Rub (talk) 13:01, April 1, 2014 (UTC)

Locations[edit source]

It has something to do with FFV...

Does anyone know where this place is? Vapor Rub (talk) 19:42, April 3, 2014 (UTC)

I will look it up- have played FFV, but have no idea thus far. TMG- Why? (talk) 22:00, April 3, 2014 (UTC)

I looked at all FFV battle backgrounds, and couldn't find it. Vapor Rub (talk) 20:29, April 16, 2014 (UTC)

Complete Works Vol. 2[edit source]

So the confirmed songs from VIII-XIV were shown, and...I'm annoyed that the developers ignored fan favorite tracks *cough* VIII *cough* which I'll add some other time for a (unfortunately) DLC wishlist.

In the trailer, Laguna, Lilisette, and Vanille were officially confirmed, but another new character from XI appeared in the game. She seems to be a Puppetmaster, since a smaller red creature follows and attacks for her. Anyone want to take a guess? Vapor Rub (talk) 09:20, April 9, 2014 (UTC)

Sorted and added. That character was called Aphmau from XI. She seems interesting :) TMG- Why? (talk) 17:41, April 9, 2014 (UTC)

Gau[edit source]

I didn't put Gau in, who did, and where did they find him? Vapor Rub (talk) 15:12, April 10, 2014 (UTC)

Photographic evidence was provided when the person who added him made the claim. I checked the link, and it looks real. :) TMG- Why? (talk) 16:18, April 10, 2014 (UTC)

Found the photo! :D there's the answer. TMG- Why? (talk) 16:22, April 10, 2014 (UTC)

But I wonder... When they showed CollectaCards in the trailers, there really wasn't place for another character from FFVI...--LeafShinobi (talk) 22:35, April 15, 2014 (UTC)

He maybe a hidden/unlockable, or a DLC. Vapor Rub (talk) 19:59, April 16, 2014 (UTC)

EMS's[edit source]

According to the official tracklist at, there are no EMS's for any game which had an EMS in the original. Should the table be updated to reflect this?

(Also, as far as I know, Somnus is the only song playable on the original which has not been included in our now complete tracklist of 221. Here's hoping it gets in as DLC, along with Omnis Lacrima, while they're at it.) 15:30, April 13, 2014 (UTC)

They are returning, that's why they weren't listed. You can see clips of them returning in several trailers for the game. Vapor Rub (talk) 20:42, April 13, 2014 (UTC)

I know that EMS's are returning, but the official tracklist suggests that all the songs which were EMS's in the first game won't be EMS's anymore (e.g. The Rebel Army and Aerith's Theme will be BMS's, Behind The Door and Suteki Da Ne will be FMS's). So listing those songs in the EMS column seems misleading. 05:48, April 14, 2014 (UTC)

Yeah, according to the website, new songs like "Warrior Goddess" and "Saviour of Souls" will get EMSes, but it appears that all the old EMSes are now BMS or FMS.... The Promised Imaginary Hero (talk) 23:53, April 14, 2014 (UTC)

My hypothesis is that tracks such as "Suteki Da Ne" and "Definers of Fate" will get both EMSs and B/FMS... I don't think that they'll get rid of the EMS from FFI to FFXIII! TMG- Why? (talk) 20:37, April 17, 2014 (UTC)

New characters[edit source]

Shadow7615 (talk) 02:48, April 14, 2014 (UTC)

Time for my own list of characters i'd like to see in, i've been considering the spin-offs/sequels and I thought that these characters would be good choices:

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children

Cloud Strife (Leather Attire)

Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII-

Angeal Hewley

Genesis Rhapsodos

Final Fantasy XIII-2

Caius Ballad

DLC Wishlist[edit source]

What do you guys think of the tracklist? Including the Romancing SaGa songs, it all adds up to 221. I'm sure some of you guys are annoyed that your favorite songs didn't make it, but its very likely for Square to release DLC songs. However, not just songs, but also characters, and let's just hope we'll be able to customize them rather having fixed stats. Here's my list for AT LEAST one of these songs (mostly FFVIII) to appear in the game, and as I mentioned, my predictions are very bad, but feel free to add your thoughts and personal song/character choices to the list.

Imperial Army (BMS)

Phantom Forest (FMS)
Setzer (most likely Gau)

Ancient Temple, Reunion (FMS)
Shinra Company, Bombing Mission (BMS)

Under Her Control, Fithos Lusec Wicos Vinosec, Lunatic Pandora, Ami (FMS)
Premonition, The Landing, Liberi Fatali (BMS)
Quistis, Irvine, Zell, Selphie, Kiros or Ward

Oeilvert, Vivi's Theme (FMS)
Faerie Battle (BMS)

Calm Before the Storm, Thunder Plains (FMS)
Kimahri (but most likely Rikku)

Federation of Windurst (FMS)
Iron Colossus (BMS)

Eruyt Village, Phon Coast, Cerobi Steppe, To the Place of the Gods (FMS)

Yaschas Massif (FMS)
Born Anew (BMS)
Sazh or Fang

Main Theme of FFIV, Over the Hills (FMS)
Cosmos (Theme), Don't Be Afraid (BMS)

Dissidia 012:
Into the Darkness (FMS)
Chaos Shrine, Pandaemonium (BMS)

Vapor Rub (talk) 11:13, April 15, 2014 (UTC)

All I want for DLC is:

Type 0:
Machina (BMS)
Time of the Foundation and Zero(FMS)
Kurasame and Celestia (Character). There are other Type 0 stuff that I would like, but I'll leave it there (for now) TMG- Why? (talk) 15:39, April 22, 2014 (UTC)

Complete Works Vol. 3[edit source]

The final complete works has been released, and Agrias is officially confirmed.

Including the Romancing SaGa songs, 221 songs are in the game. Happy importing! Vapor Rub (talk) 12:43, April 17, 2014 (UTC)

Thank you. I actually awaited this volume. Cosmos bless you. ;)—Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) ∙ 12:47, April 17, 2014 (UTC)
Edit (12:50, April 17, 2014 (UTC)):"Utema the Nice Body". LOL. It's like it's third of fourth 'official' name.
There's so much dark humour in the Type 0 section of the video, it's brilliant- Rem is running in the Palace of all Magic in the song "The Time of Finis"- I won't spoil why that's kinda funny, but it is. Plus, in all the BMS, Cid is fighting with the students of a Class Zero- when the Cid in that game is the main bad guy.... ;) TMG- Why? (talk) 21:12, April 17, 2014 (UTC)

Transferring Data from Theatrhythm??[edit source]

Do you guys think that they'll let players transfer their unlocked characters etc. from the first Theatrhythm to Curtain Call? It'd be really sweet if that was the case, Getting the shards was quite the commitment, especially Kain and Sephiroth, I imagine it would be easier to unlock characters in Curtain Call, but hopefully we might be able to transfer, feel free to voice your opinion.

Shadow7615 (talk) 14:15, April 19, 2014 (UTC)

Journey to the West[edit source]

Curtain Call is coming to North America and Europe.

Rated T in US, and PEGI 16 in UK. Vapor Rub (talk) 14:22, April 22, 2014 (UTC)

Translation[edit source]

Can someone translate the stat names, so that I can start creating level tables for each character please? HP, Strength, Magic, Agility and Luck return, but I'm not sure which ones they are, and there are also two new stats. Thanks. Vapor Rub (talk) 10:32, April 25, 2014 (UTC)

I may have figured it out, from top left to bottom right, the stats are Strength, Magic, Agility, Luck, Vitality, and Spirit. If I'm mistaken, then please correct me. Vapor Rub (talk) 13:33, April 25, 2014 (UTC)

Final Fantasy Series Medley Songs?[edit source]

So I noticed that on the Japanese track list site, there was a section for songs that were under "Final Fantasy Series". Based on the titles, they seem to be medleys of songs across the FF series. I'd put them on the list of songs, but I don't know how the BMS would be translated. So if anyone can figure that out, it'd be good.

You can check them out here:

Slaix223 (talk) 19:01, April 25, 2014 (UTC)

I think this: カオスの神殿 -シアトリズムFFCC BMS Arrange- would translate to something like, Chaos Shrine TheatrhythmFFCC BMS Arrange but I'm not entirely sure. Kimlasca warrior (talk) 19:06, April 25, 2014 (UTC)

Character Renders[edit source]

Can someone tell me where you can get the official character renders from the game and how they did it, ASAP please. Vapor Rub (talk) 10:34, May 6, 2014 (UTC)

Theatrhythm Allusions[edit source]

I'm thinking of creating an Allusion page for the Theatrhythm series. There's quite a number of references in the backgrounds, in character's abilities, and monsters. Anyone okay with that? Vapor Rub (talk) 12:08, June 9, 2014 (UTC)

Official English Name changes[edit source]

Been a while since I posted something. With the incoming release, both returning and new songs have been changed from their JP titles, examples are "Clash of Swords from FFXII, is now renamed "Flash of Steel". I can confirm this since I went to the Hyper Japan Expo in Earls Court, and managed to get a chance to play the demo. One of the new/returning abilities is called Mighty March, a Proactive ability. The "SOLDIER Battle" from the final battle in Crisis Core, is called "The SOLDIER Way", and can be found in a screenshot on the game's eshop details. Vapor Rub (talk) 11:14, August 26, 2014 (UTC)

Demo[edit source]

If you guys own a 3DS, be sure to try to out the demo available now. Doing so enables you to unlock more characters from the start, specifically the main representatives of the spin-off series.

I didn't think the button control scheme would work so well, but it did! It's actually quite fun to try out the new methods, plus the fact Laguna is playable made it more epic XD. My only gripe is that the stylus sensitivity is much higher, and you'll notice this when playing on FMS stages, so its much harder to get a perfect timing.

Lastly, the names for abilities I found in the demo are Spirit's Hymn and Brawler. Judging by their names, Martial Arts is Brawler, Spirited Etude is Spirit's Hymn, and Minne is Mighty March. Nothing's confirmed yet, but since I've pre-ordered the game, I'll confirm this once I've played it. Vapor Rub (talk) 08:35, September 5, 2014 (UTC)

Colon[edit source]

Looking at the official website, the game's title doesn't have a colon in it anywhere it's mentioned. Nor does any instance in the game itself (notably the series arrangement medley EMS). Just figured I'd bring the query up, as a quick scout around the MoS and Rin's didn't yield anything -- Sorceror Nobody Flan.PNG 13:44, October 1, 2014 (UTC)

Future DLC[edit source]

Y'know, it's been bothering me regarding "Gau's appearance in the game, and if they ever add more DLC after all songs and characters from Japan are available. I'll take it as a 50/50 chance. Otherwise, does anyone know who took that picture of Gau, and where the source material came from?

Lastly, the characters I think they might add as DLC are:

  • Setzer - FFVI
  • Selphie - FFVIII
  • Zell - FFVIII
  • Steiner - FFIX
  • Freya - FFIX
  • Kimahri - FFX
  • Lulu - FFX
  • Basch - FFXII
  • Sazh - FFXIII

Vapor Rub (talk) 14:57, October 3, 2014 (UTC)

Honestly, the one thing that makes me most inclined to suspect more DLC is the fact that they put the SaGa tracks in "SQUARE ENIX Titles". That's oddly broad when they could easily just have called it "Romancing SaGa Series". I mean, it covers Dragon Quest, Kingdom Hearts, TWEWY... not that I believe any of those would be in.*(Except maybe TWEWY. I can dream. KH is pretty much out, though, because that would probably be down to Disney. I'd love a Theatrhythm KH, though.) All in all, I think SE would be foolish to not have left it open for themselves to add more (hell, Curtain Call becomes outdated as soon as XV arrives, so it'd be cool if they do a free or at least cheap DLC pack for XV tracks), but I'm aiming to not get my hopes up because frankly SE don't have a great track record for that kind of sense. Ultimately, it's just speculation. As to the Gau thing, that's rather bugging me as well -- Sorceror Nobody Flan.PNG 18:01, October 3, 2014 (UTC)

EMS for I-XIII[edit source]

Now that Curtain Call is out in the US, can someone confirm whether or not the original EMS stages are returning or not? The table seems to suggest that the original EMS themes have either been reassigned to battle/field themes or removed entirely, which I think it highly implausible  Primarch Dysley FFXIII - Sprite-Dysley.png 20:26, December 23, 2014 (UTC)

It's been out for months dude, should have asked earlier. :P All 13 EMS songs from Theatrhythm 1 have been changed to BMS/FMS, although parts of their videos are in "THEATRHYTHM FINAL FANTASY CURTAIN CALL Special Arrange Medley". -- Some Color Mage ~ (Talk) 20:54, December 23, 2014 (UTC)
Oh.... why the hell did I think it just recently came out? I am out of it! Aw, that's a waste. Ah well  Primarch Dysley FFXIII - Sprite-Dysley.png 22:22, December 23, 2014 (UTC)
It makes sense though. An EMS takes up a lot more room than other songs, as videos are a lot larger than a song and three note charts, so including the old ones would mean less songs included on the cart. It's also why we'll never see DLC EMS songs. -- Some Color Mage ~ (Talk) 22:53, December 23, 2014 (UTC)

Abilities Section?[edit source]

Would there be any objections to adding a small section below Characters titled "Abilties" which offers a brief overview of the concept? It will be short, mostly noting the changes between the original and TFFCC, but will include a "See main article:List of TFFCC abilities" link at the top. As of right now actually getting to the list of abilities from the main article requires a bit of luck. (The character pages have abilities listed, which take you to the main article for the ability and where it appears in EVERY game, which then takes you... nowhere else, since the TFFCC portion is blank.) Considering the List already made (Tabled and everything) is incredibly well-made, it seems a shame to not have a link to it. Girinis (talk) 20:03, January 3, 2015 (UTC)

That sounds like something that should be in the Gameplay section, not the Characters section.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 20:05, January 3, 2015 (UTC)
