He was supposed to be called Stragus Magus? ...Alright then. --Auron Kaizer 16:05, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

Wait! Strago's Race[]

Does Strago actually qualify as Human? Thamasans might be considered their own race, as they are the descendents of magic-enhanced humans from the War of Magi. Espers were also magic-enhanced humans originally, though they were more heavily (and physically) mutated. Moguta 11:33, 23 April 2009 (UTC)

Magi are humans. --BlueHighwind 12:14, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
They *look* humans, but are they humans? Moguta 17:54, 25 April 2009 (UTC)
What part of "Magi are humans" is difficult to understand? --BlueHighwind 00:34, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
Hey, no need to act like some smart cunt. What's difficult to understand is that they are biologically different than humans (their magic ability is hereditary). This could possibly make them a distinct race, like how Lunarians are distinct from humans. Moguta 16:38, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
Look, this is going to end up like the Tidus's age debate. BH the man has a point, if Espers were once human but became a seperate race because of magic, in theory Strago could possably be a diffrent species to humans.  Armageddon11!  16:43, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

Bugged?[]

Does he have a bug? I've been playing as Strago for some time now. I've had him see abilities, get hit by abilities, see Sketch abilities, see Rage abilities... and he has yet to learn anything beyond the first three he comes with. Am I the only one with this problem?

Are they actually Blue Magic spells? Is he suffering from any of these status ailments when the spell is cast: KO, Petrify, Zombie, Blind, Sleep,Muddle, Stop, Hide, Rage, Freeze?

If not, he will learn the spell at the end of battle. Espritduo (talk) 16:02, February 23, 2013 (UTC)

Unfortunately, they are indeed Blue Magic spells. I've looked them up. And no, he has no status effects on him. And the Rippler bug isn't in effect, either. I've tried it with and without an Esper attached to him and it didn't make a difference. Either I have the worst luck in history or there's something wrong. -Tambit

There's no luck involved, it's a 100% chance to learn the spell if it's cast during battle and he can learn it. Are you playing it on an emulator? Are you using cheating devices? Either of those can mess up the game in all sorts of unexpected ways. There is no known bug involving Strago learning Lores, so in any case, it's a problem with your game, not with FFVI itself. Espritduo (talk)

I am saddened to hear that. I am not playing on an emulator; I downloaded the game off the Playstation Network and am currently playing it on my PS3. No cheat codes, no devices, nothing. If there is a problem with the game, then that means there is something wrong with the one they have up on the PS3 network. Well, guess I'll just ignore Strago...  :( 69.59.108.239 23:18, March 5, 2013 (UTC)Tambit

Try re-downloading it. You should be able to re-dl for free, and it shouldn't wipe your saves. Espritduo (talk) 01:03, March 6, 2013 (UTC)
