I thought it was Irvine Kinneas he was based on, but you're better with anime culture than I am so we'll go with your reference.

@Zack Fair 007: Couldn't you have just off-site linked to the image? There was really no reason to upload it to the wiki. You could always sign up for Photobucket and upload there. By the way, I'd say he's a mix of Seifer and Irvine. :3
Gun or... fists?
I'm not sure that Snow's weapon is a gun. Just look at that picture And that is someway confirmed with his discription from the official site:
Snow: "A man of a fervent soul who uses the power of his body as his weapon. He is honest to his emotions and takes aggressive actions, but many look up to him for his optimistic personality."

Please tell me that whoever wrote that he used his coat as a weapon is wrong. Seriously, that's just stupid. At least in previous games most of the absurd weapons were relegated to loser characters like Cait Sith, Quina Quen, and Wakka. Snow seems cool (no pun intended), I already don't want to see this done to him. Beating monsters up with your bare hands is cool, hitting stuff with a jacket is not.
It is from IGN. [1] So stop complaining and live with it.
Hey, Master Asia of G Gundam could rip through every FF melee brawler simultaneously with nothing but a scarf. Still thing using clothing to beat things up ain't cool?
To be fair, the article never says whether he swings it around or if it just is an arbitrary way to give him enhancements. Sorry, not a member here, but I just wanted to point that out. - The way how i see this, is that compared to other monk-like characters (like Tifa or Zell for example), which used various fistweapons for upgrades Snow uses Coat Augments for upgrades, but still fights with bare hands/fists MMLN メーマウリアン 09:44, November 12, 2009 (UTC)
Keith Ferguson?
Snow's English voice sounds almost like Keith Ferguson. Sure, he sounded younger than Keith's other character, Basch fon Ronsenburg from Final Fantasy XII, I know, but when Snow was talking, saying he couldn't stand by, his voice and attitude sounded close enough to Keith Ferguson's voice of Basch. I know I sound crazy, but I'm sure that I heard that voice before. Werehog22 3:57 PM 6/5/2009 (UTC)
- More like Troy Baker. He sounds more like Yuri Lowell in Tales of Vesperia and Kanji from Persona 4. Even the yell is identical. Sonickenshin 11:19 PM 9/1/2009 (UTC)
It's Troy Baker. But good luck getting that approved from the mod-morons 'round here.--NeutraVega 18:19, October 31, 2009 (UTC)
- Do you have a reference? Do you have a source? Or are you "pretty sure it's him because he sounds like Baker"? If the answer is "no, no, yes" then I kindly remind you that being pretty sure does not constitute a valid reason for adding what otherwise seems like speculation. Calling the mods douches and stuff does not make you look badass or outraged, it makes you look like a jerk. Faethinte audio 20:10, October 31, 2009 (UTC)

Snow and Lightning Relationship
Lately I read some forums about the Japanese E3 2009 trailer and they say that at the end of the trailer as Lightning goes to face the Fal'Cie, Snow calls her "nee-san", which translates to older sister. Could this mean that they are blood relatives?
Can't it also be used to refer to someone you see as an older sister?
Sweet Nightmare - Hey, would you say...I became a hero? TALK - I've thought of a wonderful present for you. Shall I give you despair? {{{time}}}
Yes it can. Calling someone your older sister in Japanese can be and is often used metaphorically. A friend of mine likes to call me onee-chan. We're both in Japanese class and if it wasn't right to say that, our sensei would have told us so, and he's told us it's perfectly fine if that's really how you see someone. But it does shed some interesting light on the nature of their relationship.
Well, now that we know Snow and Lightning COULD BECOME siblings (in marriage), it could mean both.

At the beginning of the new TGS trailer, Snow and Serah are joking about how he's going to have to start calling Lightning "Big Sister" once they are married.
I think that as the game goes on, Snow secretly develops feelings for Lightning. Here are some examples: in Lake Bresha, he rushes to protect her from a Cie'th though she can clearly handle herself and occasionally looks at her weird. In Hope's house, he appears very sincere when listening to her reason for not believing Serah. Finally, in the Sulyya Springs, he again acts sincere when he says they will see Serah together. An interesting note about Shiva: how come she appears as twin sisters instead of one woman? Snow's crystal is shaped like a heart, could all of it mean that he loves both Serah and Lightning? Just an opinion but I think it's worth noting.
Age?

Strange device
In Snow's left arm (the same with the l'cie mark) he has what appears to be a armband like device. What could it be?
- It might be the energy source for the manadrive patches on his coat. ZazComet 02:07, September 3, 2010 (UTC)

Musical Theme
Enjoy!
FaythOfFenrir 02:10, January 28, 2010 (UTC)
Nice. If Snow were in a Dissidia sequel, he is one of the few characters whose theme would be perfect battle music (another being Locke)
Height
Snow isn't the tallest playable character in the series. Granted, he does tower over Cloud and Squall, but Barret is also 6'5, Kimarhi is 6'9, and Ward is 7'. Snow may be tall, but he isn't the tallest.
Anyone know what TYPE of coat he wears? the style, cut, etc...?
It seems like a double breasted raglan trench coat but I don't know, any ideas?
- Sazh calls Snow himself just "trench coat" at one point in the game. It's a specially enhanced coat that gives the user MAGIKAL POWERZ. :D 8bit 04:22, March 11, 2010 (UTC)
Actually, His "weapons" are "stickers" he places on the back of his coat... Not really sure how thats supposed to work but just roll with it, just like Hope pocketing his giant boomerangs. -Zinos
Hand Grenade
Hand Grenade is Snow's second exclusive skill (other one's being Sovereign Fist). After Chapter 2 it seems to dissapear. Is is something special or what?—Kaimi 19:09, April 8, 2010 (UTC)
It's basically and AOE attack, sort of like Blitz, however Snow only has access to it before he becomes a l'Cie. I don't think any of the other characters have anything like this.
- Umm... What's an AOE?—Kaimi 14:04, April 9, 2010 (UTC)
He looses his infinite supply of hand grenades somewhere after becoming a L'Cie... But when you're 2 meters tall, wear a trenchcoat, have a beard and are a monk... you really don't need them.
Gap in the article
There's a big gap there starting in the Stats and Equipment section. Looks like it messes up the rest of the article too, pushing things to the right? I tried to fix it, but I'm rubbish! ;) Keltainentoukokuu 03:02, May 13, 2010 (UTC)Keltainentoukokuu
FFXIII Replica of FFXII's Balthier?
Don't you think that Snow shares some of his "characteristics" with Balthier from Final Fantasy XII? They both use some kind of bike: Balthier - hoverbike, Snow - motorbike; they are in organization not related to state: Balthier to sky pirates, Snow to NORA; their attitude to life is "assured, funny young man as I stated here. What do you think?—Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) 20:28, October 27, 2010 (UTC)
The promise to Nora
I think that Snow didn't do much to fulfill Nora's dying wish for him to get Hope home. Technically, Lightning got Hope back to Palumpolum while Snow only took him the rest of the way to Felix Heights after mostly hanging out on the Lindblum for the majority of the game.
We can blame the game developers for his absence from that marjority of the game, however, it was probably a good thing he didn't spend too much time around hope initially as the psychopathic, pre-pubescent coward most likely would have stabbed him in the back...literally.
KaoclazmMJR 01:15, February 1, 2012 (UTC)
This is brought up...
Someone brought this up once on the IRC. Since I believe Snow was one of them, I'll start here What is the "official" place to get the stats of a character. Cloud's birthday has been stated as 2 seperate dates (three including FFT), but which is official?
They are all official if they come from Square.
Well first we'd have to see the context for each birthday, of where it originates. Cloud's Zodiac Sign in FFT doesn't correspond with his birthday in FF7, but FFT is a different world from FF7...so maybe their calendars don't match. Maybe, even if with Cloud's birthday, his Zodiac Sign would be something else in the FFT world.
Right. 03:32, January 17, 2011 (UTC)
Snow in ff13-2
Hey its a fact that snow will appear in ff13-2, but in an unexpected and important form. I have figured out the plot and make's sense and everything but ether way it is still snow villiers...just not the same exact one haha. Anyway not sure exactly what characters will appear in 13-2 but alot that was left out of ff13 will be in ff13-2 through pst memories. So I know that Snow will probably have alot to do with hat part because he is main male character in ff13. Anyway you think we should throw that he is set to appear in memories and through a different form in trivia? (I hope he has alot more then that and maybe helps lightning haha) In the Ign snow villiers game characther they already have 13-2 listed under games he appeared in...so we should do th same!

Snow's Age
He is younger then Lightning cause he call's her "Older Sis" In the Japanese version which means In FF13 episode zero he was also age 20 (Like Lightning) Shouldn't that go in his age area? 24.196.7.83 12:08, September 19, 2011 (UTC) CloudStrifeComplete
- While that does probably mean he's younger than Light, it could just be because she's Serah's older sister, by a similar logic to him referring to Light as "Sis" at all. So, yes, probable, but I don't think it's quite concrete enough -- Sorceror Nobody 12:20, September 19, 2011 (UTC)
- It might be also a kind of honorary thing, because calling her "little sis" might be taken as belittling.Keltainentoukokuu 12:54, September 19, 2011 (UTC)
- You have to consider that Japanese is, well, for lack of knowing better terms, a very "honorary" language. I'd guess that he calls her "big sis" as an honorary, where calling her anything else would be seen as rude or even disparaging depending on what it was. TRIVIA
By adding that his hair is a resemblance of a pulse chocobo is more of an opinion. Trivia is facts and True information. That would be like adding in Clouds trivia that his hair also resembles a chocobo. haha. 75.139.60.241 02:39, October 7, 2011 (UTC) CloudStrifeComplete
Snow FF13-2
Was anyone else mad with the little screen time Snow had in this game? And also fading away kinda lame like? Anyway I will buy used copy cause I will never give square-enix any money ever again. They better have better plans for Snow in upcoming games or square-enix will lose a huge fan cause I only buy there games. 75.139.62.0 04:55, December 19, 2011 (UTC) CloudStrifeComplete
- I for one found him rather annoying. But you might wanna take the matter to the Blackjack where you are more likely to get a response. C A T U S E05:09, December 19, 2011 (UTC)
I also believe he is really strong and they need to give him a true spotlight. Showing him actually beat down his enemies and lets him get screen time. I would really like a game to Snow Villiers like zack and Vincent from FF7 got. 75.139.62.0 04:20, May 17, 2012 (UTC) CloudStrifeComplete
