8bit BlackMage - Beyond the Sky TALK - Why do chemists call helium, curium, and barium 'the medical elements'? Because, if you can't 'helium' or 'curium', you... um... ._.; - {{{time}}}
Okay, since the airship page has been created, we need a tag on this article to be able to create a disambig. What should that tag be? We can't differentiate by game, as the airship and character both exist in the same compilation. The only tag I can come up with is (Character). Sounds okay?
This is why I called that article "the Shera" because moving the character article that the Airship is named after just to make room for the Airship article is stupid. Must everything get a damn disambig? Must we move every little fucking thing? Goddamn, these rules are moronic! And you set them upon yourselves too!

Would you rather have articles linking to [[The Shera]]? If someone searches for Shera the airship, they are not going to type in "the Shera". They are going to begin to type in Shera and see in the search drop-down list that there is an article for the character and the airship. You should have forseen this when you created the airship article.
The Hell I care! They search for Shera, they go to Shera. I threw in a link to the Airship article. I think our readership deserves some kind of standard limitations, I don't want morons reading this who can't figure out how to click on a damn link. They can go off to the FFVIII Triple Triad articles and have a grand ol' time being stupid.

Why don't you have a link on the airship article linking to the character article? Then that opens the monkey cage: Why don't you have Cloud (Final Fantasy VI) link to Cloud Strife? Certainly our readers aren't too stupid to want a super popular character like Cloud share a disambig page with with a lowly VI enemy. Oh wait, nevermind. That link existed, and it was removed by an administrator. There's already a organized way of directing people to articles with the same titles: it's called disambiguation pages.
I did have that link. Look. And I can guarantee you with 100% certainty that nobody will ever search for that FFVI enemy, and nobody will ever give a shit about it. Only a depraved maniac would ever consider it of any importance, which is what this wiki seems to be lately.
Let's be fair, Blue, I'll bet 80% of the enemy articles here are never visited. Does that mean we remove them? No. You're being a bigot now, talking like that. It's the way the Wiki works. Drake Clawfang
- It certainly means that Cloud shouldn't be a disambig, rather it should link directly to the Cloud article, with a minor mention going at the top in tiny font of that FFVI enemy that nobody cares about. The Airship is a direct reference to the character. They are not so totally different as to require both pages to be moved and a whole disambig written. --BlueHighwind 01:55, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
- Well if the airship is so trivial in relation to the character, why not merge them? Really, just think for a moment. We as a Wiki are to appeal to all fans. We cannot decide which "Shera" article is more important. Maybe someone has played Dirge of Cerberus only, comes looking for the airship, and thinks "who the hell is Shera" when they find the character article. Drake Clawfang
- EDIT - let me put it in perspective. Someone searches for "Shinra". We don't know if they mean Rufus, his pappy, the company, or Shinra in FFX. So do we move Shinra to one of them and make the other three notices at the top? Also, a redirect to the "Cloud" enemy page at the top of Cloud's page would look awkward.
I hate this tag... Though I'm against BH here, I'm also in agreement. The Shera is named after Shera... The theme played at FH is called Fisherman's Horizon... did we disambig? Yes; we also then undisambigd because people searching for FH will want FH... but obviously mentioned on the page will be the theme; they are related. -- So, Cloud disambig; Yes. It also cuts out the chance for anyone to secretly link to redirects. Disambig for Shera, whatever. Don't care. I just hope she gets given a surname by SE so we don't have to use this tag. By Advent Children/Dirge of Cerberus, she's technically Shera Highwind. :P
I know that... but they don't have to take up the name... whether Highwind is confirmed, I'm clueless. If not, is there really any evidence that the wife takes up the surname of the husband in the FFVII universe? Probably is but I cannot think of it. -- Shera Highwind is also spoilerish. But hey, so was Raine Loire. :/ ILHI 15:49, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

Also, by that standard of logic, Rosa Farell would be Rosa Harvey. But we knew Rosa's surname before she was married, and with Shera we don't.......
We don't know for sure that the people of the Planet and the Blue Planet (gotta love Square's brilliant names!) take surnames at weddings like our cultures tend to--and even here, it's not mandatory. Rosa's last name may remain the same, as with whatever Shera's was. We shouldn't make such assumptions--just look at FF10 and the length of time that their "humans" can hold their breath, and the extremely varied afterlife theories... lifestreams, magical trains...
There is a image in the end of the article called "Shera in the PC version". That's a modified version of the field model, it's like a fanart. Is it ok to let this kind of picture in the article? (Sorry about my English, it's not my first language.)
Moove[]
If things are named after things, then the original thing shouldn't need to be disambiguated. The Shera airship is named after Shera, therefore the airship can be linked to from this page. For example, the theme for FH is only linked to in a subsection on Fisherman's Horizon. Hiroyuki Itō only links to the enemy named after him, and isn't split on a disambig.
Simply, a section for the airship can be put on this page, {{main}}
Shera (airship), explain that the airship was named after her, put a pretty picture, and we don't have to disambiguate. Users looking for information about the airship can find out about its origin first, before being stepped off into further information about the airship itself. :) 79.69.201.180 22:16, June 22, 2011 (UTC)

BC Shera jpg?[]
I happened to come across it while searching each character individually and found a Before Crisis art styled portrait of whom I thought was Shera. I was about to upload it, but it had a history of being deleted in late October 2011. Reasons why? It looks incredibly legitimate and Shera was in BC, right...? --Tricky Wiki (talk) 05:36, August 19, 2012 (UTC)
Vandalism[]
Does no-one else notice the bright red overlay covering the entire page? span id 'cute', the Wiki source looks okay to me, so I can only conclude this is some elevated privilege hack or sad joke by juveniles. Observed 02:00 UTC 16 July 2023
- I literally just brought back the site notice to provide fix instructions. The issue was fixed about a day ago, but the site cache contains so many pages that even a bot takes ages to clear it all out, and doesn't give us a list of pages that were last cached during the hour or so the problem happened, so for the time being affected pages need to be cleared out manually. -- Some Color Mage ~ (Talk) 04:29, 16 July 2023 (UTC)
- No worries, I just checked again and it looks okay to me now. Thanks for the quick response.
