Hecko: I noticed that, in addition to just Sage Knowledge, you went ahead and put the Aletap Rumors on here, as well. While I was going through the bestiary entries, I came across a lot of "Talk About Town" and "Street Corner Musings" entries. Since, I feel at least, there are a significant number of these, do you think we should compile them in similar fashion and add them here, as well? Mymindislost 01:48, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

		Yes, I actually had plans of doing just that, but never got around to it because of a lack of time to play FFXII. I also thought of having a "miscellaneous insight" for all those who didn't fit under a common title (and it needs a better title than "miscellaneous insight"...)

		That would make the enemy pages look a bit more empty IMO. I like it when I could just read up on their bestiary entry in their individual pages without having to click a link and wait for the page to load up (i dunno, but sometimes FFWiki loads really slow - server problem?).

		I know what you mean, Bluer, and I agree. Perhaps we could both compile them all together on their own pages AND leave them in the enemy articles? What does everyone think? Edit: Additional thought! As I'm going through the bestiary looking for "The Town Crier" pages, I'm in the S's and I've only come across 6. So, should we maybe consolidate all of these additional things into one page and make subsections for each different kind, instead, or do you guys think that page would be too big?

Merges[]

Centralized discussion for the merges. No sense having it sprayed across five different user talk pages.

Pro:

Centralized, no need to navigate to many pages
If you have a specific SK in mind, it's easy to search with Ctrl+F
No arbitrary separations of information
Redirect anchors still work

Con:

53kb, may be too long for the poor souls who still have 56k modems
Need to fix links (I'll do it, if you want)

		Maybe Hecko had some reason? He started the next section of SK. If Hecko agrees, then you can proceed with the merging and fixing of links. I'll help.

		I have to disagree. I think the pages are fine split up. Just because you may have good internet doesn't mean that everyone does. But I guess if Hecko and/or the other admins think it's fine, there's not a whole lot I can do about it.

		I'll say tl:dr too that! I for one would not want to read a long, fully text-only article.

		For the first time in four months I get a night where I slept for more than 2-3 hours, and all Hell breaks lose with people arguing/fighting and stuff falling apart on whatever place I administer or play a significant role. Sheesh! I've been fixing stuff for the last 3 hours, and I still haven't had any breakfast... Anywho, as far as I understand there has been some merging, some reverting and some heated discussions around here. Since I started the 3 SK pages, I'll throw in my arguments (as if I wouldn't have otherwise). I'll try to take the points one at the time: Centralized, no need to navigate to many pages It's three pages, which given their total length, is prefered (one f or two..?). Unless someone dies of a heart attack mid-change, I think we'll manage If you have a specific SK in mind, it's easy to search with Ctrl+F Or you could use, I don't know, the searchbox? True, it isn't as specific, if you don't know how to search using the search box, but then again, how often do you have "a specific SK in mind" without some idea of what it is about? No arbitrary separations of information Doesn't you wanting to merge them all count as arbitrary as well..? Redirect anchors still work Why is this listed? They work now too, so if there's no change, how can this be considered a pro? Hmm. I have zero recollection how these appear in the game. I think they might all be under "bestiary" in the game actually, but that's not a terribly descriptive name. I think "Aletap Rumors" is on the same level as "Sage Knowledge" though, so putting it under Sage Knowledge could be wrong.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 20:17, April 16, 2015 (UTC)
