Article Name[]
The article's current title is "Runic", but the ability with the same effect also appears in Dimensions under the name "Attune Blade". Shouldn't we rename the article to "Attune Blade" to follow the policy of the most current name if ability with same effect appears in n games under n names (1 game=1 unique ability name referring to the same recurring ability). Or should we follows something akin to Ultros's article as Ultros is more known by the fans as "Ultros" rather than "Orthros", and so should "Runic" as it is more known as "Runic" rather than "Attune Blade"? Is there an article you think is of an exceptional quality? Vote for it here!

I would go with the latter myself. VI has been around long enough that the ability name is most likely going to be identified in a majority as Runic. So, it would be "Runic, also known as Attune Blade" or something like that.
Here's the rule:
- IF the same name has been used in the two most recent unrelated releases, then use the name in said releases.
- IF there have been two consecutive releases using the same name, but the most recent uses a different name, use the name that has appeared in two consecutive appearances recently.
- IF the thing has never been called the same thing twice consecutively, then use the most common name.
- IF the name has been different in every release, then use the most recent name.
Ultros is Ultros because it is more recent. I think. Ultros keeps changing.
It should be Attune Blade. Weighing games based on importance is not what we do at this wiki. 79.69.207.10 20:47, October 19, 2012 (UTC)
- Alright...I'm a bit confused, so I'll let the Higher Power decide on the article's name.—Kaimi (999,999 CP/5 TP) 11:15, October 20, 2012 (UTC)
Runic and Death[]
So here's something that the article doesn't state: What DOESN'T cause Runic to wear off? From what I'm hearing, if Celes is KO'd before her next turn or when the next spell is used, it doesn't wear off at all. So...can anyone confirm if Death removes Runic status or not?
vulnerable list v ignore list[]
- will absorb the first spell no matter who cast it as long as it is not a spell that ignores Runic
This is followed by list of things which are vulnerable to runic, but I would also be interested in a list of magic spells which can't be stopped by Runic. talk2ty 21:41, September 3, 2018 (UTC)
- But think how long that would be. Think how many enemy abilities there are.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 01:54, September 4, 2018 (UTC)
Spears[]
List_of_Final_Fantasy_VI_weapons#Spears has "enables runic" listed which I found a bit confusing. I was reading the Longinus/Gungir and thinking "oh cool, Mog and Edgar can use Runic with this?" but it appears that this is only a note for Celes using them via Merit Award which might be worth a mention. talk2ty 21:41, September 3, 2018 (UTC)
