Usable[]

Unless anyone objects, I'm gonna add a "usable by" field to this table. Drake Clawfang 03:58, September 19, 2009 (UTC)

Status/Spell Issue[]

I was about to fix all the links in this table when I came across a little conundrum. Take Angel Wings for example, where it's said: "Automatically casts Float in battle." Now it's been a while since I've played VI, so do we mean that the spell gets cast and the start of the battle, or does the Relic grant the Float status (kind of like "Auto-Float")? Just think we should clarify what we're trying to say before fixing linkage and what have you. - Paramina 00:12, November 10, 2009 (UTC)

It should say something along the lines of "Grants Float status to the user. Cannot be removed except by de-equipping." or something like that. Xenomic 00:14, November 10, 2009 (UTC)
It's basically Auto-Float. It's not like you see the battle start, and Float is cast, the character is automatically Floating when the battle starts. Repeat for all similar Relics. Drake Clawfang 00:16, November 10, 2009 (UTC)
Thought so, just wanted to clarify - I'll fix that. - Paramina 00:17, November 10, 2009 (UTC)

Prices[]

ACRudeBox

Could probably dig them up once I finish my current project on the FF9 ability page. I'd assume those pieces which aren't bought we just put "N/A" right? Doreiku Kuroofangu 22:48, April 23, 2010 (UTC)

Merit Award[]

I have been playing Final Fantasy VI Advance, and just won the Merit Award. It allowed the characters that had it equip the Ultima Weapon as well, contrary to what is stated in this article. Maybe it's a version difference, but still I think it should be noted. Discordius 01:09, June 17, 2010 (UTC)

Name[]

Would "List of Final Fantasy VI Relics" be more appropriate? Doreiku Kuroofangu 02:34, August 6, 2012 (UTC)

Other similarly named article is Add-on. Most equipment articles go by List of..., but I suppose these aren't because they are unique terms?Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 02:46, August 6, 2012 (UTC)

Heiji's Jitte[]

I stumbled across some trivia information concerning a Relic; specifically, Heiji's Jitte. A jitte was used by the character Zenigata Heiji in Japanese movies, novels, and TV shows; however, his more relevant ability was to throw coins - specifically, old ones with holes in them - as a method to inflict damage and apprehend criminals. Would that be appropriate to post here? Dogurasu (talk) 07:39, August 9, 2012 (UTC)

Locke's Relics[]

The Thief's Bracer relic improves the Steal command, while the Brigand's Glove changes it into Mug. Can the two relics work in tandem, i.e. does the Thief's Bracer relic improve the success rate of Mug as well? RedDrgn (talk) 23:51, March 2, 2013 (UTC)

Yes it does. I think that the Thief's Bracer also works for the Thief Knife.HyperKnux (talk) 07:09, July 29, 2013 (UTC)

Dragoon Boots vs. Master's Scroll[]

The Dragoon Boots change "Attack" to "Jump". The Master's Scroll changes "Attack" to "Barrage". What happens if both are equipped? RedDrgn (talk) 02:30, April 18, 2015 (UTC)

I remember the MS as the "Offering". You can see in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qSxoj3VqO0&t=1m30s that Edgar uses it and I guess back then in the SNES version it kept the "Fight" command. I do like the idea of changing the name of the fight command to reflect the Offering being equipped, glad subsequent versions did that.
You can see the benefits of Genji+Offering were multiplicative (8 attacks, ie 4 attacks of 2 swords) but I don't remember if you could stack it with Dragon Boots... I probably would have tried it and kept it if you could.
I think to get that intended effect you instead do Dragon Boots + Dragon Horn. That randomly does between 2 and 4 atacks. Not as good as a guaranteed 4, but still decent. talk2ty 22:38, September 3, 2018 (UTC)

Asterisks[]

at Relic_(Final_Fantasy_VI)#Abilities there are three unexplained asterisks (*):

I can't find anywhere explaining what these are meant to indicate. Usually there is some type of note.

I would suggest substituting † and ‡ for different notes (also more easily searchable, asterisks more often appear in the text of advertisements, making Ctrl+F problems) and then adding whatever notes were supposed to be there. talk2ty 22:31, September 3, 2018 (UTC)

These are footnotes. They appear when you hover your mouse over it in the desktop version, or just appear in parenthesis in the mobile version.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 01:21, September 4, 2018 (UTC)
