I've started it, and I'll try to finish it today or tomorrow.
There should be two columns for the ability's SNES and GBA name. And there probably isn't much need for a column with the enemy's SNES name, this is a list of the Rages, not of the enemies. ILHI12:06, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
While I do agree with splitting the ability column (which I will do as soon as I have time [being away is irritating]), I suggest not deleting the SNES name. If one whom uses the SNES version appears and uses ctrl+F and uses the name of a Rage he wants to know the attack of, he should be able to do that.
Well, aside from finding out that there's 260 slots available for Rages (there's only 239-252 on this list, so not all of them are here. I didn't see Adamankary on the list at all, and he's a Rage), it seems that the Veldt has its own cycle. Because everytime I've fought Intangir, the next fights afterwards would ALWAYS be Flan, Destroyer, then Imperial Troup and Vector Hounds x2, and it seems to go in order of area at that or something. Not sure, since the fights before Intangir is usually an enemy or two from the Floating Continent, and they always appear right after the Sky Armor/Spitfire enemies that you fight in the freefall to the continent.
After posing this question on the IRC and getting no response, I've decided to bring it up here. There is no room to split up all the fields in separate SNES/GBA fields (which is required as in every field SNES and GBA have something different). We can either do one of these, or split the list up (on one page or on Rage/SNES List and Rage/GBA List).
Well, if you're going to try and do that (which I don't think is a bad idea), I'd say go with column 3 for the format, though that'll be annoying to do with all of the statuses since there's quite a few that'll have to be done that way...^^;;

Hm... I would actually kind of go for the simplicity of the most recent translation (The preference for recent translations is one of the reasons Holy (element) isn't named Pearl >_>) in the main page, with a link to a side page for the whole table using its old SNES/PS terms. It'll look a lot simpler that way I think...
Wait, tell me what's going on here before you do anything. ILHI23:15, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
I wish to fulfill your request higher up on the page by added SNES ability attacks, and I also noticed that the other three fields also need to be split in SNES/GBA counterparts. However, the table has no room for all the fields. I have listed four solutions above.

I like the first of your three SNES/GBA ideas, Scathe, which is the one with Protect (Safe).
Okay. Personally, I'm not a fan of subpages in such a case. The first thing I thought of when you suggested this was Forum:Name-conversion project.
But you could just use two tables, right? Though it will make the page, perhaps too big, rows will be smaller in height anyway so it won't be too much bigger really. Bigger in code, yes. But not bigger in height. ILHI11:35, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
I don't really like putting both the lists on one page. If you look here you can see while the current usage is smaller than one of the tables, both of them is almost twice the size of the current table. Name-conversion could work, however doing this would require huge amounts of effort and coding and would most likely make it impossible for people without advanced wiki code skills to even decipher how to use Name-conversion, let alone be able to edit an article with it in it.
It helps if you correct the percentages. You also chose three of the one-line abilities, which aren't in the majority I believe. ILHI12:32, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
This is something we should cover, however there are a few ways to do it. We could split a separate table for the PS, though this might be overloading the page with code. And if that is the case, we may want to split up the page into subpages. Another way we could put the PS name in parenthesis next to the SNES name on the SNES table, as all the other stats are the same, and the name changes are infrequent (I hadn't even noticed the name changes when I played through the PS version :P).
PS names for wut? Enemies/Abilities or both? I only have PS, and I played it only briefly. ILHI15:45, October 12, 2009 (UTC)
Agreed. Even though 8Bit would be very happy in his pants if you did, it'd just be redundant (and all my hard work of getting enemy attack images would be for naught! D:. Speaking of which I still need to get some enemy attacks.....boo....
I disagree, the images will show Gau using the attack, instead of the enemy, also, I can create a new category to separate the Rages from the Enemy Abilities, piece of cake and none of you will have to lift a finger.
Double Edit Conflict: Still don't like the idea. Also, that of the Rages use the same abilities. How will you differentiate between the Rages? Using different images of the same attack is redundant, and so is using the same image. And the fact that Gau does them is pretty minor, as the animation of the attack is still the same. And 250+ images on one page is excessive. If a person really wants to see what the attack looks like, I think they can click on the link that's supplied and look at the image of the attack there.
I think the GBA and SNES fields should be merged into one, with the GBA terminology and a new field for the SNES names, as per our policy. Unless we want the SNES info vaped outright. DoreikuKuroofangu - Visit the Soul Shrine! 05:09, January 13, 2011 (UTC)
Well, that's our policy. I can't imagine why there are two tables of the same Rage lists with different terminologies anyway. As far as I know, this is a singular case on the wiki. - Henryacores^ 18:09, January 13, 2011 (UTC)
It was just GBA in one separate table back in the day when I made it. However, someone or other requested that I split them, so that's how they are. I think it had to do something with the fact that the wiki should cover everything and not just the newest releases. I tried to fit them both into one table when I made it and it doesn't work. There's just not enough room. ScatheMote 21:22, January 13, 2011 (UTC)
I suggest moving to "Rage (Final Fantasy VI)" or "Rage (Final Fantasy VI command)" as its proper name, since it shares the same name as all those listed on Rage (ability), and that page I feel should be the parent page to this page. Agree or not?
