The Quickening![]

I posted a rather interesting Dual-Cast glitch, feel free to rewrite it (Im a terrible writer, bad at choosing clear words, best at using metaphors only I understand because i made them up.) It effectively stops time, for everything (enemy turns, death sentence, your other PCs turns) but keeps Regen ticking away, at least on the Quick'd person. You dont need to be in any menu (which would make this happen with the Wait option selected, but not without entering any character's submenus.) I assume this would make things like an Angel Whisper's bugged Regen keep damaging, as well as for the randomly poisoned critters on that solitary island thing.

Cause its neat and lets you just coast. Forever. Nothing seems able to interrupt this once its begun, like in Magic the Gathering how you could turn a Time Vault into an Artifact Creature then use Instill Energy to untap it: Once you get the cycle done once, you win unless you try to do otherwise. 74.128.56.194 23:32, June 4, 2011 (UTC)

Indefinite[]

"Quick's spell effect could be used indefinitely as long as the character had enough MP to cast the spell before their turn ran out, but this was change for the GBA version, if the player attempts to cast Quick again during one of their two extra turns it will automatically miss to prevent them from continuing their turn indefinitely."

Removed, because it is incorrect. This wasn't changed in the GBA version; Quick would automatically miss if cast while already active in the SNES release as well.

5 turns or 4[]

From the FFVI section:

By combining the spell with the Soul of Thamasa relic, the equipped character can effectively cast five spells a turn

This doesn't sound right. SoT (aka Gem Box) lets you cast 2 spells in place of 1, so if Quick gives you 2 bonus turns, 2x2=4.

You shouldn't actually count Quick itself as an effective" spell per turn, since all it does is facilitate the other four. talk2ty 02:42, September 6, 2018 (UTC)

On you first turn, first cast a spell, then cast Quick=get 5 spells.Keltainentoukokuu (talk) 08:31, September 6, 2018 (UTC)
